it was too rough on the song,xtina gives a soft-rough touch but this was way rough,but it had some magic moments that made me think that she is the second person that actually can perform this song after xtina..
Clark Kent you have two ears and still you can't hear talent. Ruth was coining notes performance fer performance. Some of which I hadn't even heard from Aretha or the greats . You could go listen to your pseudo queen. But my earlobes know talent and though leanne voice was good, it was never remarkable.
This was a good performance but it doesnt compare to Ms. Christina Aguilera's voice. She had alot of problems with the song but overall it was really good. A bit pitchy ad creaming insteading of singing.
John Toledo Leanne was the best, she knows her voice, she knows how to deliver the notes, not like Ruth, Ruth just want to reach for the high belted notes and the high notes but she have to realize that she is a contralto, her voice is not on the Soprano range, she just always wanted to show off the range that she doesn't have, she doesn't know how to use the range that she got but instead of staying there, she tries to jump one or two bar higher but it just back fires all the time......Ruth is an amazing vocalist for what she got, why ruin it by singing out of her range? Anyway, they are both amazing vocalist but interms of success, we will see about that :)
I also feel that this was a very bad song choice for Ruth, she should have sung something like I am telling you, that would have been a better option for her, she didn't look comfortable at all singing this song! Thanks for nothing Tom you did her an injustice!
HORRIBLE! What the heck timing was that? Talk about pitchy! What's with all the shouting and grunting? runs.. they were miles off. For a performance of 'that' song, you couldn't murder it worse if you tried!
That make up & those rediculous outfits are putting people off her.. And though she really is the best natual voice amoungst them..the songs shes picking are crap (3in a row).. And in the words of me wife "No matter how much chewing and barking she does,the songs suck..she's out.."
