  • Love Microneedling when it’s done properly. Especially for skin of color individuals and those prone to scarring (ie keloid and hypertrophic scars) make sure to see an experienced provider in the appropriate office-setting!

Yea you just got to fork out 200 to 400 dollars a session. Instead of just telling people no, come up with an alternative. People don't have that kind of money

@@mile_851 My mom is a dermatologist. While she doesn't approve people using the manual one like the one shown in this video, the newer at-home microneedling devices where you can adjust the size and dept are very similar if not identical to the dermapen she uses in the office...so it's not all bad, depends on your common sense and knowledge I guess

You can buy professional derma rollers for use at home anyway. Many of these treatments can be done safely at home if you know what you’re doing and correctly sanitise. I do many treatments myself after studying intensively, and have saved a lot of money doing so. The only one I would not try on myself is fillers bc of the risk of VO.

My $99 at home micro needling device goes up to 2.5mm but since I already have pretty good skin I won't be going past .5mm. Going to try my first session next weekend.

Meanwhile I used a Dr. Pen to Medical Mirconeedle my face and the results are AMAZING! If you have common sense and follow basic hygiene protocols, I'd say most people would be fine. You'll always get people who over do things and/or dont follow instructions and then blame it on the devise. 😐 Like the one kid who left prepped food out on the counter for a week, them ate it and died, next thing people are saying Meal Prepping is dangerous! No lack of common-sense is dangerous.

No hunny, no, microneedling at home works however what doesnt work is when the person doing it themselves are not using clean needles! Or their skin is dirty! And the before and after treatment should be thought through fully, no retinals on that area for a while etc these are the warning and advice we should give to people who want to do this at home. And yes it absolutely does work but be safe! Things to consider are hyperpigmentation if you are prone to it then remember chances of you getting it is higher! So longer healing time, and also dont be dragging the pen up and down and round in circles especially if you suffer hyperpigmentation! And remeber every part of the body needs different needle lengths, and the face sections all have different lengths too. Remember RF microneedling claims to boost collegen production which is does but in reality it will burn that fat off your face 💯 so stay away from the people that want to do this tretment for you, Instead stick to microneedling and the shortest of needles is still enough to get the collagen going! Ive done this at home so many times using 0.05 needle and ive had good results

I have also done at home microneedling by watching many UA-cam videos and after that have more hyperpigmentation which take much longer time to treat......never do at home microneedling never.

@@mile_851 I've only done 3 or 4 sessions and got the results I desired. When performing aseptic prep, how is the risk for infection increased? With so many thousands of women performing their own microneedling, and other Derms vlogging educational information, how can you determine the risk? Do you have evidence based information available to backup your information? Master Aestheticians also educate the public, which is one of the medical professional’s responsibility, just as The Who does, including the Heathy People Organization.
