    Sooo much disinformation about micro needling in the comments. Go to your dermatologist for the procedure. Ask about any new vitamins if you intend on changing anything in your regime. It’s a great procedure and can be done typically at any age if you do not have active acne, but do have scarring. I did mine 4 times at 18. I’m 21 now and the results are great and faded my cystic acne scaring. Please just go to a dermatologist for your questions and concerns instead of UA-cam comments for safety.

      Microneedling helps shrink enlarged pores but they should be unclogged otherwise you'll be pushing the clogged stuff deeper into your skin. But you should go to a professional to get microneedling done as you can really damage your skin if you try and do it yourself. They should cleanse your skin before microneedling

    what does micro needling actually does to the skin? can someone tell me

    • @alijoc
      @alijoc 10 місяців тому +3

      it creates micro abrasions (basically small injuries to the skin) to activate healing which essentially promotes skin cell turnover and collagen production. Often with things like acne scars, once the inflammation is healed the skin stops focusing on healing it and resumes its normal pace (usually slow, which is why acne scars can take a long time to fade naturally) of new skin cells production, exfoliants and micro-needling helps to speed up the process. Hope this helps :))

      @@matthewbermudez009 I just read an article from the Cleveland clinic and it said 8 weeks is okay. You’re not supposed to wear sun protection for at least 24 hours afterwards because the micro needles cause open channels, so that means there is a direct pathway for sun protection to get into the dermis. You’re don’t want that. It’s supposed to remain on the epidermis for protection. Also, it will cause irritation. The literature I read also said to use mineral sun protection shortly after the treatment.
