I recently used this incubator for chickens. I did it exactly how you demonstrated and I had 100% hatch rate. your method was very easy to follow and understand
Great video! I watched a few other videos on this incubator because mine will soon be shipped to me. I love the way you were detailed in your presentation and even added the batter part.
hi ive got the same incubator as my first incubator ive had a few good hatches with it (duck & chickens) you can remove the styrofoam by lifting it as high as it can go then pull the left side up the rest of the way so it sits at an angle but i wouldnt advise it as it gives extra heating its an ok incubator as a first but i will always advise one with a humidity thermometer i have about 7 incubators now and counting and i will always recommend it as a starter incubator very good for the price

Top ..top friend I have the same one .. I haven't done the test yet but soon I'll do the test with some eggs to evaluate the incubator. and draw conclusions to see if it's worth buying

Hi, good day! I have the same model of incubator as you have in the video, however, the hygrometer I am ordering online haven't arrived yet, thus I cannot monitor the humidity of the incubator. I am currently on the day 1 of my incubation. And so I have a question that I hope you could help me figuring out. For the humidity, do you add water on the very start of the incubation on any of the reservoir under, or just on the 18th day? If you do add water on the very first day, how much do you pour and how often do you replenish? I would be very grateful for your answer!😊🙏
Hi. We do try hatches. So we only at water from day 18-21. We keep it at 70%-80%. We find dry hatches to be easier and produce better results. If you were to do a regular hatch you would add water on day 1 and then monitor that humidity to be around 50% from day 1-18, then 65% day 18-21.
@NicholsCounty thanks this was one of my first incubator I bought 2 years ago but stopped using cause eggs would pile up to the right of incubator and would not spin properly.
Did you have a hard time keeping the humidity at the recommended percentage during lockdown? I’m not doing dry hatch, and have found that the humidity will drop by 20% over night. I’m concerned that this will happen during lockdown.
@@razzyhass3541 I've never done pheasant eggs, but the best thing to do is no over think the humidity. Try a dry hatch since you're in a high humidity region. Make sure your incubator holds temp well. Check your eggs for fertility, make sure you male is doing his job.
I only ever used it the once to try it out. But I keep it around as a back up because it's the only incubator i have that can run off of a battery in case of a power outtage. I was happy with the results.

You can do it manually if you need to, should cause any issues. Maybe your light on the machine just doesn't work. Put an egg in there.. Draw and X on it and then it the buttons and see if it's moving.
I recently bought the same incubator and looks like you had a very good hatch. I'm wondering if the 38.1 Celsius in your video description is the one shown in the incubator itself or with another thermometer that you used?
Hello! I was thinking about buying one of these - Where did you get your humidity reader? Also, do you know if you can buy more racks? I'm going to be doing quail and it looks like I might be able to put more in- I might be wrong though as well
Hi. As with most incubators there are some holes in the side at the bottom to add water. If you look at my thumbnail to this video, right hand side, bottom right.

Ok
Thank you for your video! Would you do anything different for duck eggs? We hear peeping and it's making us a bit crazy, not sure what to do, LOL!
Add a lot more water, I've never done them myself, but see videos where they have a lot of extra humidity.
Is it normal for eggs to pile up or not line up on rails
I don't think so.

That's really for adjusting the humidity. I believe mine was open half way for incubation, then I opened it all the way for the hatch.

There is no lamp, so must be some type of element with fan.

when do we need to start spraying the water?

No, I go over this in the video.
I added one
I just got this incubator and I'm very curious on how people are controlling the humidity? I'm using it to hatch ducks but I don't know how to check the humidity.
Most smaller incubators you're going to have to get a hygrometer to keep track of the humidity. You can see me using one in the video.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Is it ok to open it on day 7 to check fertility or is it best to just leave it closed until day 18?
Yeah day 7-10 is generally when I check. You don't need to, but you'll want to make sure no eggs are oozing from a crack.
