From midnight the winds really picked up and for the next 12 hours blasted the entire West Coast.
We take a drive around and look at the aftermath in and around Bundoran and Mullaghmore along the West Coast Of Ireland.
The wind reached upwards of 100MPH+

Storm Eowyn battered the UK and Ireland with strong winds on Friday (January 24). In Ireland, almost one-third of Irish homes and businesses were without power. Hundreds of flights were cancelled, and schools and transport hubs were forced to close. "It was the worst storm we've seen since we moved to Galway 25 years ago," said Galway resident Seamus Kilbane. In Scotland's coastal town of Oban, the storm led to the cancellation of trains and ferries. The storm also ripped roofing from Belfast studios where 'Game of Thrones' was filmed.
