Thanks for showing how to get the seat off. I bought the bike with no instruction manual and it had some mods replacing the back "trunk". You video help me a great deal.
hello, first of all thanks fot the videos! I have a VN750 95' with a problem in the rear cyl. It starts to flood with fuel. I tried to start up my bike and I saw fuel coming out from the left tailpipe and now my bike won't start. a week ago I had the problem while riding, I stopped the flood cutting off the fuel, but I can't ride cutting off the gas each 100 meters... Do you have an opinion about what could be the failure? I am about to clean my cabs but I don't know exactly whats wrong... (sorry about my english, did my best)
Hey I noticed you have some sort of modified version of air filter intake. Could you tell me where can I find this type? I'm trying to remove carburetor to clean it and my OEM intake is in the way.
Go to vn75.com and look at the Vulcan verses. All kinds of good stuff there. The pods are just on Amazon. Check the size though www.amazon.com/Baitaihem-Pack-Motorcycle-Filter-Pocket/dp/B011WZSTA4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1470240310&sr=8-1&keywords=pod+filters
Yank the carbs out and clean them. Make sure you check that the final drive is well greased. Check the gas tank and make sure there isn't any rust in there. If unsure you can always add a couple cheapy fuel filters on the fuel lines. It's NEVER the starter so don't even go there. Change the spark plugs for the heck of it thought they don't go bad unless there is rust on the connector. Carbs is the ballgame though.
Really just take them off and shive that hose up into a spot with dead air. If you arent on vn750.com go now. Doc can help ya! Don't think he's dead yet lol.
Oj - I use Lucas Fuel Additive in my VN 750 AFTER I cleaned my carbs with Seafoam. It helps keep you from needing to clean the carbs as frequently as this bike seems to need them. Also, once you replace that STUPID, CUMBERSOME, IDIOTIC, ASININE stock air cleaner system and go to a pod-air-filter system, your carbs will stay a lot cleaner with proper air-filter cleaning and maintenance.
+hardy mcknight THese are them pretty sure. www.amazon.com/RC-1060-Performance-Universal-Clamp--Chrome/dp/B00062YO8G/ref=sr_1_6?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1456327658&sr=1-6&keywords=motorcycle+air+filter
goofyfoot2001 I think I have an account there. My Bike has been in the shop since the 12th of March - my guess is they Still haven't started working on it (stator issue) could probably use a good carb cleaning too - So if they still haven't started it when I stop by today I'm just going to bring it home and do the tuxedo mod myself. I just think it's ridiculous they haven't even started it yet and the more videos I watch like yours make me confident I can do this stuff myself.
Everyone should be required to do video 101 class for you tube...shut camera off if you are going to move it. Use a tripod for every shot and do not repeat do not hold the damn camera in your hand and flail it all over. If you can use a wireless mic...do it. If you can edit your video...do it..sigh Just a few suggestions on making how-to videos... because if you want thumb ups make it worth the peoples time....
#1 accessability, #2 plastic floats go bad early for no reason, no solid replacements available. #3 cost for the parts from Kawasaki. #4 very poor design where the frame of the two carbs is also the seal for the float bowl. #5 cost to repair # 6 cost to replace with new parts. I have owned triumph and now this vn750. The fact you have to have a twenty minute video says it all as far as workability. Also the pitcock on the fuel tank is a major fail. When they go bad you can't get fuel or it floods, there is no in between. Had to buy a new one. Very piss poor engineering but then again they would rather you bring it back to the dealer than be able to service it yourself.
the problem b is you would need two and they may not fit. I have a sporty and you could definitely use that carb if you could split it out to the two cylinders.

You know how to connect the petcock? I'm having trouble with that and a long tube that runs to the seat area from the top of the carb
wish i had the knowledge and patience to do rad mods like you've done to your bike! congratulations!
Did u have to adjust the carb when u did the ear shave or should I be okay? Not sure what other filters I need besides the 2 for the carb
hey buddy i got question !! where you get those air cleaner the little ones left hand Rigth i got the same bike
What did u put to close the emissions. Mainly the hose in the front of the front cylinder.

What size are your air filters
Wouldn't the carbs be leaking because you have the petcock set to prime?
the tube coming off the bottom of the back of the tank.... where does that connect?!!!!!
Wondering what size air filter fits on the carbs anyone know exact size
Where can I get those spark plug wires at
Where did you get those intake filters?
Wouldn't happen to know the make and model of your saddle bags do ya? I've got a 95 looks identical to yours minus your mods, been looking for bags.

I am about to buy a 1987 Vulcan. Is it a good idea!!
Hey i wanna know what sizes are the intake filter that you have on that bike?
I would to thanks
what do you recommend before starting up one of these that's been sitting for years? it has less then 2k miles

How many years has it been sitting?
Hey do you have a video on how you did the ear removal on your volcan, doing that now and need some help
Really just take them off and shive that hose up into a spot with dead air. If you arent on vn750.com go now. Doc can help ya! Don't think he's dead yet lol.
did u have to just the carb for the ear shave?
Travis Yarman no not at all, nor re-jet. Join vn750.com as thats where you will fine all the answers.
can using gas additives keep the carbs clean, and what do you recommend?
+Ojeramup12 Sea Foam is what most people I know use.

did u do the manual timing chain tensioner conversion?
I did. I've do most all of the mods. The best I think was the tw200 petcock. That seemed to smooth the bike out.
what kind of air filters did you put on youre bike I've been looking for some like that can't find any
+hardy mcknight One sec. Got them on Amazon pretty sure.

can anyone tell me what kind of seat that is
Will there be a part 2?
Parts 2 and 3 up. They suck but maybe you'll see something that helps. Are you on vn750.com?

Thomas Martin oh yeah, plenty of help out there. I assume you're on vn750.com? If not, go NOW!
wow to much goofing off and his vent tube could be done neater than being over the right side breather
Legal gostei muito desa Vulcan
Eu vendai porque ela estava cebrada de mais. Compre uma Harley Sportster 1200. Tem Harley ai? Nunca vi um quando eu morava em Campinas.
Can u help I have a question
Sorry, just saw this, what's up?

Russ B you have 9 subscribers wtf do you know about getting likes lmao
Fuck off u prick
This dude needs to try another hobby
Vulcan carbs are such crap, I have it down to a science, out in 15 back in takes about 30 minutes. Major, major engineering fail.
Whats so bad about them?
#1 accessability, #2 plastic floats go bad early for no reason, no solid replacements available. #3 cost for the parts from Kawasaki. #4 very poor design where the frame of the two carbs is also the seal for the float bowl. #5 cost to repair # 6 cost to replace with new parts. I have to agree they suck. One cv carb off a sportster should work beautifully on these bikes.
wow, just skip this video he doesn't get the air pod off til 15 minutes in, should of been a 3 minute video
That was the one with your mother.
goofyfoot2001 OH SNAP!
hey...did anyone here had an experience using harley carburetor in their VN750??
the problem b is you would need two and they may not fit. I have a sporty and you could definitely use that carb if you could split it out to the two cylinders.
+goofyfoot2001 yeah...i do custom manifold with 2 pipes combine...but everytime i ramp it sounds air and the engine stop...struggle for 3month now
What size jets are you using?
