Check out the KCS Historical Society Facebook for more updates on the train! This is just the chase video for the year! Tomorrow, I’ll climb aboard and volunteer on its last leg down to Laredo. A special video will release going more into the events themselves. Thanks for watching!
I went to Sulphur Springs Texas yesterday to see the holiday train, I also went to heavener last week to see it, I also have a special coming out soon good video as well and I hope you have a great holiday season and a merry Christmas LRP
This is a really great "teaser" for the upcoming Christmas Day video that I know you will produce by that time! Your chronicling of what "happens onboard" the Holiday Express, and all of the hard work that goes into its success, is one for which I'm looking forward!!!!!!!!! There are a lot of great people who make this train what it is each year!!!
Wow! The F-units in the A-B-A lash-up are stunning in that paint scheme. Maybe not as stunning as F-units in the AT&SF red warbonnet paint scheme, but still stunning nonetheless! 👉 02:12, 06:42, 09:35 and 10:25. I can see why people come from miles around to see the F-units hauling the Holiday Express. I LOVE F-units, no matter what paint scheme they have. I enjoyed watching your video. 👍
Excellent catches! I enjoyed heading to Meridian to catch the Holiday Express the day after this; as a bonus we also saw the inaugural run of M265. Boy were there a lot of railfans out there
He needs to come to the mexico subdivision here in Missouri. It parallels the ns st louis district for 20 miles before a at grade diamond you will often see cpkc trains racing ns trains trying to beat each other for priority over the diamond in Clark mo. On the east side of the mexico sub before crossing the river the mexico sub will cross a second diamond that shares a grade crossing for the local highway with the bnsf Hannibal sub in Louisiana Mo, before going over a rotating bridge across the Mississippi on its way to Chicago. You will see all freight types on the mexico,Hannibal and st louis subs but you'll see really long grain trains on the mexico sub.

Will it go through Houston by any chance?
@@Norfolksouthern6920I think so I heard it would be going to Beaumont
Will there be access to see the Belles in Laredo. I'm flying in after work and then flying home two hours later to see it there.

Nice to see the Belle’s power hasn’t been repainted.
That’s a beautiful scheme, those Fs look good standing still let alone underway.

No, that end of the ex-KCS is being covered this year by one of the ex-CP "Holiday Trains."
That’s KCS not CPKC
So I don’t know how to tell you this…
Them F units NEED Leslie RS5t train horns. Make the dadgum things sound better than modern locomotives.
Could be onto something…
