love listening to you speak then going to read the chapter. helps me make the connections a little better. because the book is so dense. great stuff. thank you for taking the time to do this.
Glad I came across your playlist!! Thank you!! Currently watching to refresh myself with terminology and those simple "oh ya" stuff. Will be watching this series a 2nd time once I sign up for my test.
If cortisol is catabolic, how is optimizing/increasing it good? Should we not be trying to decrease cortisol? Are you trying to say high volume and short rest periods increase or decrease cortisol?
In this case, everything increasing leads to an increase in cortisol levels. Cortisol increase and GH increase play hand in hand. Acutely, cortisol increase isn’t a bad thing because it leads to the healing of tissue, however chronic cortisol increase isn’t the best for the body. I had the same question as you before I read the CSCS book. All is found on page 83.
Good stuff man, I gotta go see previous vids. Great insight and is also helping you retain info by lecturing it.
for sure Mrk, thanks for watching!!
@@jkangdpt you're a good teacher. I'm a professor myself and I like how you break things down and the mnemonics you come up with!
I appreciate that very much!!
