Amazing!!!! I have lived and travelled in SE Asia for over 20 years. In so many places i use to see so many coconut husks just thrown in the ditches. In Korea and Singapore and Japan I use to walk on slanted wood park bridges in the rain covered with this sort if matting and every time though what a great idea. What is it made of!!!! Superb video. Pain staking work. Thank you
Jesus !! These are the incredibly huge spinning & weaving system with giant reed and shuttle. Surprisingly female workers handle such heavy materials ! Respect them.
Apparently they are also used to lay out hiking trails in S. Korea. Prevents erosion, keeps down dust, while not introducing any non-natural material into the soil/nature.
Hard work, but how wonderful to watch these people working together. I do hope they get a decent income from it.❤ Best wishes of prosperity and wellbeing for 2024❤

As I continue to watching how they make mats, it just occurs to me that they are weaving at a large scale 😮. I did weaving for school once, but watching this blows my mind out of the water 😵💫.
great way to use coconut husk fibers. i always believe coconut trees and bamboos are the most useful plants because every parts of it can be used. especially with house construction and furniture. where do they specifically used this massive thick mat?

The people of Africa must watch this, people producing something from coconut waste. In Africa they have all the natural resources one can think of but produce hardly anything. They rather sit on their butts and complain of others stealing their resources and forever blaming colonialism for their misery. I take my hat off for you people.
You justify your country's colonial policy. Essentially you are a propagandist of the colonial system. Soon the countries of Africa will give a kick in the ass to the European colonialists. Like Niger or Mali, for example, they gave the French a kick in the ass.🤣
I like the latest machinery computer controlled and carefully monitored to maximize production. Also, love the safety protocol followed. OSHA approves!!!!
I would love to have at least 2 of these giant mats. I think they would be really nice for animals to play on. But then again, I would be constantly vacuuming coconut husk. They are indeed beautiful mats.
I was hoping to see where these amazing mats were used...I've never seen them at this size and scale before..Though smaller types and weaves many times.
Thank you TEKNIQ for sharing this informative video. Brilliant! Is this in Philippines or in Malaysia? I would like to visit such a factory for fact finding trip! Greetings from Madang, Papua New Guinea!

I believe these are used as mats for control against soilerosion. For example they put these on deserts, or on slopes to stabilise the soil.
Apparently they are also used to lay out hiking trails in S. Korea. Prevents erosion, keeps down dust, while not introducing any non-natural material into the soil/nature.
That's a good idea.
Ah that explains a lot, I thought they would be too rough to be used for anything around people so it makes perfect sense to keep soil down.
Great craftsmanship in every step. Its great to see how waste material is being recycled and used
I was totally fascinated watching how hard these people work, creating a thing of great use.Talk about recycle, these folk are way ahead.

Such a great team effort 👌 in producing these large coconut fibre mats ❤❤❤❤
Such hardworking people, great job!

Dzień dobry. Jesteście niesamowici, takie umiejętności, podziwiam , ciężka praca. Pozdrawiam z Polski.
Wow! 🤓 This is super-creative! 👏👌🙌 & A highly productive way of recycling and creating highly valuable by-products! 🧨😄 Kudos! 🧨🎉
😊😮r😢😢
As someone who spins wool (on my great grandmother's wheel), I found this fascinating.
Those are epic warps! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank You, TEKNIQ, for creating & sharing this video!

wow what an amazing product - thankyou, love that nothing is wasted

Right? From spinning to warping to sleying the reed, giant shuttles, beating the weft...even cutting from the warp. It's all there.

I think all plants are that useful, it's just up to humans to think of wise uses for each of their parts.
Outdoor applications like anti-slip paths and erosion prevention.
