This past Wednesday I had to say goodbye to my 11 year old Husky Orion, who succumbed to cancer. He was a powerful spirit but gentle soul and an incredible friend. We rescued him as a 2-year-old from a small urban home that just wasn’t suitable for a wild, rambunctious boy that needed to be in the wild. I will always miss him but thank you for posting all of these videos to remind me of the wonderful nine years we had together. It just wasn’t long enough. Rest in Peace brother; until we meet again to roam through the quiet woods.
Ever since I was a boy I have loved the Siberian Husky. Even more so in his natural environment. Big hugs and scruffs to each and every one of them. Guessing the Rockies or New England? Skoal!
These dogs are so gorgeous ! My dog was a mix husky-rottweiler : she had the physique of a husky, but was black. She was the most wonderful dog ever. We were like sisters and did everything and went everywhere together. We would spend hours walking in snow along the St. Lawrence river. She never needed a leash and was always staying near me. I will miss her to the last day of my life

This. I love this. As a husky owner myself, I find that too many people get a husky for aesthetics but never actually walk them properly. Please don’t get a husky and then neglect it’s needs. This is exactly the type of video that encapsulates huskies: walkies, snow, and loving owners :)

Always enjoyed taking my dogs on hikes in the snow ..... THEY LOVED IT !! I'd tackle them and throw snow balls at 'em. they'd chase me around and then we'd wrestle in the deep snow !! So much fun !!

How did you train your huskies to be able to be off leash? And how long did it finally take for them to be as obedient as they are in the video? My husky has just turn one year old and her energy is definitely still there. She is overall good with training but she becomes very exited about the surrounding environment while hiking/walking.
I had a hard time walking my husky. He just wanted to pull. So I bought a long board skateboard and let him pull me. After a couple months of him pulling me he understood my commands and how important for both of us that he listen. Now unless we are around other people he is off his leash. He listens just as well and stays right with me.
