- Brand New CZ 600 Centrefire Rifles, Alpha, Ergo, Range, Lux and Trail models in use on the range in 308 and 223 calibres. I shot them all and was very impressed with the thorough job CZ has done on this entire new range, performance, not marketing hype. Availability should be early 2022 depending on shipping to your country.
REVIEW VIDEO, it's just my opinion! these aren't mine, they are loaned to me for written articles and I'm totally independent to say what I like...for now???
Than you to CZ for the invitation on this trip and also to www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk the UK Importers.

I’m gonna miss the 527. I guess the last decent Mauser action rifles are finally gone.
Not in europe, there are at least a dozen brands that offer traditional bolt actions for hunting, including Mauser themselves.
US gun market has become a joke, if I'm honest.
Aren’t all of the CZ 600 actions control-fed? And the Ruger Hawkeye is as well
Ruger, kimber, Winnie, zastava, montana, etc.
Exciting models of the new CZ lineup for sure! I'll have a 600 Range in 308 please! :) Thank you for bringing us this unveiling Chris!
My pleasure, please share it!
I’ve bought a 550FS and two 527s , an FS and a Euro. I really love them all!
Hopefully, I’ll get a 600 soon!
I really like the old American and European chamberings.
Had CZ American model
' model iv 7.62 ,walnut stock , short throw mini Mauser bolt action.....a REALY smooth little shooter, traded it for a Ruger ranch model 7.62 a good shooter too. have had a bad case of "buyers remorse" ever sense...will be looking at the 600 model in 7,62 REAL hard!!
No apologies needed Chris, thankyou for bringing this to us . Always been a fan of CZ's , the Range looks excellent 👌
If they release this on the American market as a "pistol" with an optional chambering in .300 BLK and the American standard 1/2-28 muzzle thread for .223 and 5/8-24 for 30 caliber, they'll sell a million.
I mean, even with the full 16 inch barrel, this thing is very very compact looking
Great. No more 527 in 7.62 x39. I haven’t been able to find one since Covid.
I guess this makes up my mind: I will have to get a Ruger American Ranch.
When you see new 600, 527 will be an antique memory
I wonder how they managed to make the 600 alpha in 7.62x39 with aluminum and plastic and still heavier than the 527 made with old fashioned steel and walnut. Also the 600 has a 1/2" shorter barrel but is almost 6" longer than the 527.
Ruger american is an accurate rifle, but the length of pull/angle is wonky, feels weird.
Really interested in seeing more of the trail! Looks like it would be a very handy rifle in either .223 or even .300 BLK
it will only be available in 223 and 7.62x39 but who knows what may be added in the long term
@@chrisparkin431 Really hoping for a 300BLK would be a shame if they don't do one in that caliber.
@@chrisparkin431 будут продавать в России?
Excellent looking rifles, bolt cycle looks a lot slicker than the 527's
I think it is only a 60 degree throw, nice and quick
love the look of the trial for a foxing out of the truck. the only thing that concerns me is the cheek piece seem to be located too far back to get a decent cheek weld.
Thought the same! wonder if it slides?
it is too far back and fits behind your jaw
Can't wait to seeing groupings
All models supposed to be atleast sub moa except the 7.62x39, but some models even have a 5 shot .75” guarantee!!, slick bolt, 1.3-3 pound trigger, threaded barrel, decent caliber selection, just need a 7mm. 280AI would be my vote! But 7mm rem mag,7mm08, 7mm wsm, 284 win would all be great!
Nice review! I'm still enjoying my 527 Varmint MTR in 223 a lot but at some point it may need to get replaced with one of these.
The Trail resembles a giant Kel Tec CP33. Something interesting to probably throw in the collection.
Thanks for the review!
I like it, except the fact the cheek piece is your butplate. It's about as wrong a place as I'd want it.
I like the trail in .223 for foxing.
In 7,62x39!
A Trail in 6.5 Grendel would be awesome.
To the negative commenters. I understand what you say, however it seems that you just don't get it. So busy confirming your butt hurt bias, you've not got an open mind. There is a counter to everything you have written. For instance, most models have steel receivers(not that there is truly anything wrong with aluminium). The bolt lugs lock into the barrel rather than the receiver. This enables barrel interchangeability while maintaining superior accuracy. The Alpha polymer stock is completely different from cheap ABS offerings from Savage and the like and is fiber reinforced. I have handled it quite a bit. It is very nice. And there is more. Do your research.
As a person who prefers Mauser derivative bolt actions with beautiful walnut stocks it's taking me a while to accept new variations in engineering and aesthetics. However as an intelligent person with some years of gunsmithing behind me, I decided to understand rather than react.
Recently, I was headed into a local gun shop to purchase either a Browning or Weatherby with a walnut stock since I am embarking on a new chambering but don't want to invest in a high-end or build a custom gun this time. Since they had one in stock, I handled the cz600 Alpha for quite some time. It was different, but after a time I was suitably impressed. No salesperson helped me, it was just me, the CZ and my smartphone. The one they had on hand was spoken for so, I ordered one for myself. I am always excited about a new firearms purchase, but I find myself to be a little extra excited this time! The engineering is quite brilliant. The first high ballistic coefficient projectile that I send down the barrel will help me again realise much joy.
CZ has needed to step forward. Younger generation shooters are demanding innovation as well they should. Still, I'm not a hundred percent happy CZ is no longer making some of their other rifles. But they're doing what they feel they have to do and some of us old fudds will just have to get used to it without becoming drama queens or distraught children. CZ's legacy remains, no matter how much anyone wants to state otherwise. Haters will hate.
Those cz 600 look really fresh ! A ranger with manners composite stock would be perfect twin for my 455 varmint precision trainer. Or maybe the ranger one into the new spuhr sics chassis as cz recently bough parts from spuhr.... thank you for that video!
Greetings from Belgium
The thumbnail looked like the m12 mauser
Beautiful stock
Great videos, but your channel is big enough to get some proper audio gear. =) Last I heard the UK did not outlaw that. =P Suggestion, if the audio really sucks, and we can't hear you, put in subtitles or captions in the video to make up for it.
Yes and kit failed on this trip so i had to put up with it 1000 miles from home🥲🥲🥲
@@chrisparkin431 always have backup! Or go to a store. Hehe. 1 is none and 2 is one. Audio makes the biggest impact and far more important than even video quality. Thanks for your reply. For shot show I had 3!different audio recorders for both backup and type of booth… handheld mic, lav mics and shotguns. ;) let me know if you need help.
Call me old fashioned but I love a walnut stock , will one be available threaded for a moderator for the UK Market?
Great video as ever Chris
Yes the lux appears to be threaded too. 5 round magazines too, lock them in and load them from the top if you want, seems a really good middle ground with the best of both worlds.
Had previously been looking at their 557s and having to decide between fixed or magazines, these new ones solve that dilemma
@@J.sh_CDN fingers crossed for a varmit version !
the cheek piece on the Trail becomes a neck piece or ear piece when the stock is extended
Just added the CZ trail to my wishlist
A great fun rifle
Another crap from CZ...
When they changed the bolt in the 527 model to the 550, it began to jam, when they replaced it with a Remington bolt in the 557 model, it began to fall apart after two packs of cartridges (the ejector pin was cut off), When they screwed the picatinny rail over the original mount for optics in the 557-RENGER - it began to fall off along with the optics right on the hunt, when they changed the fuse in the 600 - everyone stopped using it and spontaneous shots began...
The further into the forest, the more firewood... - NOW CZ is recalling its “modular” carbines of the 600 series due to the fact that their barrels are falling off!!! And now the user does not have the opportunity to change the caliber HIMSELF, but must necessarily send the carbine to an AUTHORIZED CZ repair service by mail... :-(((
CZ - Aw!!! - maybe enough experiments??? Let's go back to the good old Mauser?
I'm gonna miss the 527. The 600 might be a step in the right direction for the lager calibers, but I don't see how this is gonna increase sales of the small stuff especially since they aren't even offering the, 17 hornet, 204 ruger, 221, 222, and 22 hornet. What a shame.
Chris, any idea what exact scope was on the CZ 600 "Lux" version?
Thank you for the video and quick review!
the trail is so cool only complayn i had ist de ceekrest a bit short
It's a fundamental element of the concept I'm afraid
@@chrisparkin431 Yeah i think so too But Looks great otherwise
Hello, thank you for your excellent work.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Where can I buy the same cap as you. The cap with the deer? Thank you.
Maybe a Cz dealer, they were given out at the event itself so I didnt buy it myself, its a Cz cap
@@chrisparkin431 ok Thanks
Is this the shooting range near Beroun in CZ ? If yes it used serve the military and I have some dramatic memory of the place from my army service in cold war.
Ough, I was not aware they were releasing i new line today and ordered a cz 557 and a 457 yesterday. Do you know if there will be a cz 600 rimfire (.22lr) in the near future as well?
Good review showing all the models. Off subject, but what brand/model coat is that during the shooting?
Hello. Can you please tell me what model bipod is compatible with the 600 LUX
Cz 600 line recall. All 600s are to be returned to have their barrel screws glued due to them backing out and making the rifle unsafe.
As I heard it, a couple of user errors caused the panic over an obvious attention point and it certainly doesn't bother me having shot plenty
@@chrisparkin431 Even so a Recall, of this magnitude is big. It means no Barrel swapping in general, as no Barrels will be made available by CZ as this feature is now according to CZ non safe unless epoxied in place. So one of the main features is now not a feature and since the bolt locks into the barrel itself, third party barrels will be few and far between.
Returning a rifle due to safety concern's is the owners choice. Though, looking at previous recalls for rifles like the Remington 700. Your only as safe as luck allows. We all know of the lives lost, and the Company Remington going bankrupt. While I commend CZ for taking proactive action unlike Remington actively denying and hiding the fix. It's still a safety issue and anyone who doesn't feel safe using a rifle with this kind of potential fault should send it in for the fix.
I'll wait this 600 line out, in hopes they go back to something more like their various 500 lines like the 527,550 or 557. Great rifles at reasonable prices. This could be a few years before they do a retro batch of rifles, but they usually do. If not, I'll probably just buy browning model 70's from here on out if I'm looking for a new rifle.
Very interested in seeing the Range in 6.5 can do on paper. Love your videos btw
It's guaranteed 0.75 M.O.A. This 308 was cooking hot when passed to me, still no problem cloverleafing! I was impressed
@@chrisparkin431 very excited to see your in depth reviews. I will go and google it as I’m in the market for a 6.5😉
Ok, so if it takes Remington Bases, can I put the rem 700 stripper clip guide on it and "work" properly?
Was that stock after market?
Thanks Chris, hadn't been aware of the new 600 series. Looks like cz have moved away from the conrtolIed round feed of previous models, to the push feed system. Could you confirm this from your time at the range, will mags from the 527 fit the 600 series?
21st Century now, Picatinny or other bases on the steel actions
I like the look of the 600 trail! It takes standard AR mags?
Yes it does
whats the accuracy like with the trail?
The "Trail" is so close to being everything I want in my next bolt gun. One glaring problem and one minor problem I have with it. First, the caliber selections aren't my preference. .308 win or at the least 300 Blackout please. Second, the cheek rest is poorly executed. Something the aftermarket could possibly fix but it would have been nice to have a perfect rifle out of the box.
how many mm is the barrel thickness
These look really nice, looking forward to the in depth review. What footprint are cz's are they there own or are they like a rem 700?
All their own footprint
@@chrisparkin431 thanks pal
Just found your channel. I'm a CZ fan but I've got a Ruger Precision 6.5 creedmoor as well as a grendel. I really like the range model. I've used one of those stocks before and wondering if you get a full float on the barrel?
I love the LUX. Beautifual but this is going to be a range gun mostly but want it to compete a bit with the 6.5 creedmoor (don't laugh) How accurate is the 308 at distance in the Range? Also, how big a difference is there in accuracy (distance) between the Lux and range? If not a huge difference, what cal would you suggest for the range using the Lux (if it's close to the range models longer barrel)?
I really like finding your channel so I'll be spending today watching your other videos.
Which country are you in?
@@chrisparkin431 USA
They hung the moon with this one. IF they hurry up and fix the safety recall
Which is?
@@chrisparkin431 cz has a warning on their website saying to stop the use of the model 600 until further notice due to a safety issue. Doesn't say what the issue is.
600 range 308win 61cm barrel 💣💣💣
I own a lot of CZ pistols..but looking for a rifle for elk hunting. Any advice on model and caliber?
@Quintius Hirpinus Lol, pathetic comment, mentioning a lower quality brand.
Молодцы Чехи👍
I hope they do a 17Hornet and a 22Hornet
Sadly not shown yet but who knows
Dear CZ. A 600 American deluxe walnut!!!!!!!! 270 Winchester
What shooting mat/rifle case is that please Chris
Some l slippery tarp that was laid out on the range, not mine but what was provided. I'd have preferred the grass personally
@@chrisparkin431 ahhhh it looked like there was a shooting mat on top of the tarp, thought it was a gunshot that opened up into a shooting mat lol
There are continuous videos but no 100 yard group shots have been posted. At 100 yards, cz 557s are more successful. 600 series failed and wrongly made
Ok😉
@@chrisparkin431 If this is not the case, you need to share the 100 yard group and be transparent. people should buy accordingly
Why is the Trail only available in two calibers??? Not even .308?!
it's a mini action
More of a neck not cheek weld on Trail
Absolutely true mate. Like to your comment
I'd be all over a lux in 7x57 or 6.5x55
The mic needs to be attached to the speaker. FYI, you are at a live range. ;)
It's ok I know that, sadly someone broke the mic and being in a different country for an 'unknown' experience for three hours on a range didn't give me the opportunity to source a spare
plastic magazine = cruel
Is the Trail available in 308 and the ergo thumbhole or magpie buttstocks?
The cowards at CZ are refusing to give me my money back on an unfired rifle. I ordered mine over a year ago and it only recently came in to the store that I purchased it from, unknowing about any of the recalls or lack of ability to replace the barrel. Ill never buy another CZ product again. Such a disgraceful company.
Judging by your comments you are in the US? I would consider the goods not fit for purpose if they fail to meet the advertised criteria you bought them for so go back you your dealer. We would in the UK
