That part about attack and defence is not that simple. Knights move differently from all other pieces, which means they can attack any other piece with no need to be defended (which makes them GOOD attackers) but can also be attacked by any other piece that doesnt need to be defended (which makes them BAD defenders). On the other hand, queen moves the same way as many other pieces, so cannot be attacked by undefended pawn, bishop, rook, queen nor king (which makes her a GREAT defender).
