I read all the comments & yea it's all true but just look at the kids face when he gets down & dirty he lives & loves this music & that my friends comes from deep down within & way back from somewhere else, he is paying ohmage to many who went before MORE power too him & may he inspire generations to come.
Amazing ! I read somewhere that he does not read music, but feels it in his bones. Just amazing talent.... and under the guidance of the superbly talented Buddy Guy.. I am sure he will continue to develop his natural gifts.
Damn I love this kid! He is so good. I love this song. Sounded like something from Clapton off of Ocean Blvd. I think Quinn has a great future ahead of him.
I see a lot of comments about him being the next clapton, SRV and so forth but it sounds like he's taken a little of them all and created his own sound. He's obviously learned from the greats and will only take what he's learned from them and make it better. Will be awesome to follow this kids career and see just how great he becomes. I have no doubt it will be legendary some day!!!
Actually got chills up my spine listening to this phenomenal talent! Will go far. Mark my words! Kid has natural born skill. Few adults can play like this astounding young man! Can't wait to see what happens..:)
J.B. is Mainstream for lttle kids, Ouinn with 8 got the talent and the technic to play blues, today he's got the feeling to play the blues, a little bit more emotion and coolness and he could be one of greatest, thank you Buddy for this genius
Gotta love that two-tone sunburst American Special Strat with the big 70's headstock. For those not in the know, this song is "Got To Get Better In A Little While" from the live Derek & The Dominos "In Concert" album recorded at the Fillmore East. The concert took place after Duane Allman's death. Also, note that the original "In Concert" album was available on CD for a long time only as an import, and shouldn't be confused with the D&D "Live At The Fillmore" version: while they share versions of certain songs, they aren't identical since they use performances from different nights. The "In Concert" version is the original, definitive version and the one you want: the version of Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad on the "In Concert" version is nonpareil (although the LATF version is still good, though very different in terms of Clapton's soloing).
Love this kid, but, imagine, if you will, being able to play like that. 14 years old. Think back at what you were doing at 14. Chasing skirts, getting stoned, being an idiot. Him, the boys must have hated him because they want to be him, especially those that think they good on a guitar. The girls, just wanted to be with him. I say he is the next SRV. I hope he will be as humble as SRV. God has blessed this kid.
Professor musical, you talk about originality but you've put the same comment on all this kids videos, he's up there with Clapton, and EC didn't start playing until he was his age, OK, some licks are a bit showy and over the top but can you blame him? I've owned a guitar since way before this guy was born, and I couldn't hope to play like him. He has a God given talent and is ensuring that the blues will live on into the next generation. If you think you can do better, post a video for us to see.
"God given" my arse. Where I come from it's called playing till your bones are through your fingertips. It's obvious this kid sleeps with his guitar. He's a great player, now he needs to start writing, and write the next best thing! And I look forward to it!
Well they say talent is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, but to be that good that young takes more than sheer hard work, the kids got something special!
@GuitarSlinger2112 I can understand what you are saying concerning his tone. However I think you should take into account he is a 14 year old kid he simply cant hit the same notes as a grown up singer. Don't get me wrong I know there are a few kids out there that have that capability, he is not one of them. So combine what we know with what he can do and I have to say amazing talent. I am sure in a few years his ability will flourish even more and his voice will mature. I can't wait to see what the future holds with this kid.
I love this guy he's really talented a monster on the guitar but no disrespect or anything but the king positions are already filled by three blues legends BB King, Freddie King, and Albert King but this guy is great a new artist that I can finally listen to hopefully I get to buy an album when he makes one
Is that an original song? It's pretty good. He has a lot of poise, comes across as more like 21 than 14. . Very smooth player, could end up in jazz or someplace far from blues. Right now he sounds a bit like Eric Clapton. I worry that he will grow up to be seven feet tall. That could change things (-;
It's from the Derek & The Dominos "In Concert" live performance. That is, Eric Clapton. He has an excellent version of Clapton's "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad" from the same concert here on YT. I have to say his versions of both are better than any of Clapton's since the originals.
I like this kid. The only honest to heart thing I hope this kid does not do is what happened to John Meyer whom started out incredibly great with his first record and then turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with fame and now doesn't put out good music. As long as this kid stays clean and focuses on playing good music, whatever that type of music may be, this kid could definitely impact the music world in the next 10 years. Also, if he comes up with his own style of doing rock and/or blues :)
14. 'have his own style yet' ? He Compines while he plays. & that's some of a style man. Even if so ... he will find one for his . Soon or Maybe Later !! But he is not on his ... OWN afterall ;-)p Quite Soon for this talent to feed EGO like this !!!! Keep it up Quinn !! You no really need to find, cause you got it. Just ... BELIEVE !!
+-Falcon No but I will give you that Clapton was on herion and he fell asleep playing several times. It was around 1975 Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City. So I can honestly say when I saw Clapton and then way later in life saw Quinn that Quinn played better than Eric yes. To say generally Quinn is better would not be true but as I saw them live yes.
He already has his own style, just maybe not on Clapton covers. I actually dislike covers that have their own twist most of the time, I prefer them to be tribute close copies, and this is almost better than claps
You should hear him do zappas black napkins when he was that age 👍😎
Heaven sent. God's is keeping the Blues alive and kickin!!!! Sending us a new breed of blues artist!!!
I read all the comments & yea it's all true but just look at the kids face when he gets down & dirty he lives & loves this music & that my friends comes from deep down within & way back from somewhere else, he is paying ohmage to many who went before MORE power too him & may he inspire generations to come.
Will McC Amen.

was like fine wine ! ty kiddo!
Amazing ! I read somewhere that he does not read music, but feels it in his bones. Just amazing talent.... and under the guidance of the superbly talented Buddy Guy.. I am sure he will continue to develop his natural gifts.

Que genial este muchacho, me encanta como toca.
It's so refreshing to hear a young person playing the blues. =) Keep playing, Quinn!
This kid can really play. Loved it.
I see a lot of comments about him being the next clapton, SRV and so forth but it sounds like he's taken a little of them all and created his own sound. He's obviously learned from the greats and will only take what he's learned from them and make it better. Will be awesome to follow this kids career and see just how great he becomes. Quinn...espero que pongas en tu agenda una visita a Chile...Bravo Quinn!!

Mantapppp
SRV would be proud. do these people realise what they are seeing
Guiter looks like SRV's No 1. Awesome....
No sé porqué veo en este muchacho el espíritu de Stevie Ray Vaughan; pero si sé que el Blues tiene un futuro esplendoroso con él, fantástico.
and can sing great too!

need to stretch those strings and take us to heaven....
Eric Clapton influence detected! jeje
sounds really cool! :3
This is a Clapton / D&D song
although Buddy Guy has likely been his biggest influence.
he's Quinn but he'll be the king
This kid is GOOD! Next Joe Bonamassa et al!
More talent in his pinky than Justin Beebster will ever have and only a couple of thousand views, sad>
Badd ass
what's the song that he's playing???
Got to get better in a little while - Derek & the Dominos version
He makes me think of Eric Clapton. A lot of "feel" into his playing. Great !
Why did he cut the hair...
CLAPTON SEEMS TO BE HIS FAVORIT .BUTI HAVE SEEN THE KI
Song name?
***** derek & the dominos - got to get better
Why is he not bigger star ?
Wow: with my eyes closed I thought it was Buddy Guy.
Wow!

The next Clapton
er wird sicher ein "ganz starker an der Gitarre werden!
He sounds like Clapton to me
Not future Blues King He is Blues Royalty now. I have seen Quinn and I have seen Clapton. Guess who played better?

+1-Shot slinger Clapton, of course.
God send this Musician to us, just to compensate for justin "rubbish" bieber
He already has his own style, just maybe not on Clapton covers. I actually dislike covers that have their own twist most of the time, I prefer them to be tribute close copies, and this is almost better than claps
rock yes!! blues no!!
Young sullivan is a EXELENT GUITAR PLAYER but don't have his own style yet. like Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana,..he need work in this isue
A little Joe Santriani I hear..

Not bad.....don't quit your day job !!
He's a good player and all but absolutely nothing stand-out to me
Joseph Kroon oh God, please stop.

Someone fix that tone. Stat. wtf that is so bad it distracts from the song
You are tone def.
that is not blues....sorry....playing a lot of notes does not make one great....
