That's a very fair comment. All of these brands are on the expensive side of things, obviously, not luxury prices, but still expensive nonetheless. However, this stems from a few things: 1. Production cost - for independent brands, this cost is much higher compared to fast fashion brands, because the quantities are much smaller, they produce twice a year (mostly) and they pay regular European wages amongst other factors. 2. Materials - most of the materials they use are natural, think cotton, linen, etc. sourced ethically, which costs a chunk. 3. Margins - for these brands to survive, due to the above two points, they need to inflate their margins in most cases. With that said, the higher prices tend to reduce over-consumption. I can only afford to buy maybe 1 to 2 pieces every couple of months or so, and that tends to be during sales periods. Those pieces, however, last me years. But again, this also has to do with preference and personal values, which is something strongly individual. :) I'm about to order a knitwear piece from Son of a Tailor, as well actually. I hope you like it!

Uggh, good question. I really don’t know. I freehand mine entirely, so no guards involved. 🥸😬
Came across son of a tailor so many times when I was in Copenhagen. They aren’t available yet in the UK.
Oh, I'm surprised actually. Had no idea they don't ship to the UK. Bummer.
none of theese brands prices seem reasonable except Son of a Tailor, i might get some custom tailored knitwear for the winter :)
