Yeah, the sub-sequencers make it possible to do more complex stuff much more easily. I haven't quite found a good digital alternative besides Cthuhlu. I no longer own the Vector, so I'm not sure how drum mode it. Been lessening my eurorack collection lately...
@@rohanjoseph101 I have since used the Rene2 and Metropolis. At the moment I'm exploring the Erica Black Sequencer and Qu-bit Bloom. Some people like to try different filter or modulation modules. I think I cycle through sequencers. There is no one "best" sequencer. Different needs and different fits for everyone. Vector is a great sequencer, no doubt. There are things I certainly miss that it did well.
@@ferrycollider thanks for responding! Have you found dramatically different results in the end with your music because of how these sequencers force you by design to approach sequencing differently? Or is it for you more the exploration by different means that has been the true reward?
@@ferrycollider bummer- mine just came yesterday and love it so far with the expander. I will see how it works for drums. Eloquencer is great for percussion in worst case.
Loved the little explanation of motifs in there. Nice to spend time thinking about music, and how this machine relates.
very thoughtful, thank you so much. I often get lost twiddling knobs and forget music theory. I got composition theory and a tutorial, score!
Awesome overview of this sequencer! I just bought one. THANKS!
Super clear video. So good I have ordered one. Thank you!
3:01 - it didn't transpose at all! What happened there?
Really cool an well demonstrated and explained. One of the few hardware synths that appeals to me. I must have it.
Beautifully explained, thank you
another great demo. more please
Definitely going to get one of these...
Excellent tutorial of the Vector sequencer. The more I see, the more it looks amazing. How is it for drums with the expander?

@@ferrycollider Wonderfully explained series. Do you have a different sequencer that replaced the vector?
