Still seems backwards to me though. If you take a look at anime, it's internationally popular, but the original and most authentic versions are pretty much always in Japanese. In this case, the English version is superior to the Bulgarian one, and that just bothers me. I will continue to support my compatriots in their endeavors but I do hope they reconsider their focus.

Around New Year and before Lent, the kukeri walk and dance through villages to scare away evil spirits with their costumes and the sound of their bells. They are also believed to provide a good harvest, health, and happiness to the village during the year. The kukeri traditionally visit peoples' houses at night so that "the sun would not catch them on the road." After parading around the village they usually gather at the village square to dance wildly and amuse the people. Kukeri rituals vary by region but remain largely the same in essence. Imagine if The Last Samurai was played just by Americans talking in a regular Jersey accent for example ;) And actually as long as the narrator voice sounds native, that's fine. It's actually a good thing your american friends found the accents funny and started mocking them. We do have funny accents, so do Russians, so do Japanese, so do Indians. Hasn't stopped any of them from sharing their culture with the world. Better than having no reaction at all

Great work lads! The animation looks superb as do the character designs. Love how they pop on that Samurai-Jack-esque background. Also - the narrator's voice. Brilliant. Would have preferred the boys having a more defined accent, but I suppose that's a personal thing. Keep up the good work!

Everything is superb, i also really love the narrator`s voice, his voice is amazing, but the boys have very thick accent, and while personally i do not mind that much, for non-bulgarians this may sound too funny or annoying (i know that, because i live with a bunch of foreigners... in China...)
They might be overplaying the accent on purpose, but it's worth the feedback. I am sure they are probing with the trailer to see what would work well and what not.
I think it's intentionaly. The older brother (Vlad) sounds with more 'American' or soft accent whilete younger brother sounds with the hardest possibe 'Bulgarian' accent. I like the idea that even the narrator pronounces words like ''Kuker' or 'Samodiva' with Bulgarian accent so the foreign listnerer would have better idea how the native language of the characters sounds.
So that's what the Bulgarian accent sound like when you speak English. The accent is so heavy that I worry that some of the words the english speakers may not hear. Great job By the way, very epic music.
The animations and story line are awesome!!! I agree with Nikolay, for the actual series, it might be better to have actors with less heavy accents to ensure that English speakers can understand the plot. For example, when Disney movies are translated into another language, they hire native speakers of that language to play the characters.

Няма да има такова нещо. Създателите са коментирали многократно, че сюжета само е вдъхновен от Българската народна митология а не е вече съществуваща приказка. Златната ябълка си е напълно отделна от познатия на малки и големи приказен вариант.

UA-cam and many other stuff is centered mostly to the mainstream of what is in the US as it is the biggest costomer most of the times. It is a fault that many americans in my opinion if its something american would care or search for anything else even if it is good. That was my main point of view.

Great story, rich palette, music inspiring, unique local accents and original perspectives but I feel that the pacing is too quick for viewers to really appreciate the scenes. Worse still the voice-over sounds over-dramatic, cliché to the point of sounding like some kind of american action trailer from the 1990s (Hal Douglas, Don LaFontaine). A lighter, perhaps more mature tone, would not only increase comprehension but also bring some levity, e.g. Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea,

Me, as a bulgarian, had some difficulty to understand some words with such sharp accent, I don't know if it's because I'm used to listening to english and not english with bulgarian accent, but I still got difficulties . This is my only worry about the animation, everything else is just wonderful.
