I think there should have been a replacement in the same genre like Metallica or QOTSA or Royal Blood. Someone like chilli peppers would be awesome too

It is a massive kick in the teeth. Lets be honest guys as music lovers the 1975 is no where near comparable to RATM and I cant tell Leeds didnt really care to explore other options.
i think people forget the 1975 are such a good band, yes maybe disappointing that RATM have pulled out and that randl haven’t replaced them with an equally rocky band but i still think they will be great live :)
In the context of it being on such short notice, 1975 are probably the biggest act they could get in that fit in with the overall vibe of the festival and there really wasn't anyone genuinely viable on the same level as Rage available. Feel for the people who booked day tickets and travel explicitly to see RATM. Not even that big a fan of RATM but the 1975 is a pretty jarring switch in tone and imo a massive downgrade/

The 1975 are not a headliner in my opinion 🤷♂️ ideally would’ve replaced with another thrashy/rock/metal band
