overmono are probably the best electronic act going right now. aside from maybe bicep. watch their boiler room set. probably the act i’m most hyped for aside from lana.

they (truck, y not, kendal, tramlines) are mostly the same lineup every year owned by the same people. they’re spread across the country on the same weekend so everyone can see the (almost) same lineup semi locally. it’s essentially the same concept as R&L it’s not repetitive and copy and paste - there’s not two sides of the argument as you say it’s literally the entire point.

Hate the fact these festivals are just rinsing and repeating each others line ups. Lazy booking

I try to be as positive as possible with festival lineups but these really don't do it for me tbh. A few artists which appeal (idles at truck, human league, grennan and nutini at tramlines) but seems to be mainly stuff I've seen live a million times before with some bookings which really aren't for me (Wet Leg and Snow Patrol as headliners). Hopefully ynot or kendal tomorrow and Thursday are more up my street🤞

Love this lineup so far, there's also a lovely Leeds fest-shaped gap in IDLES' tour they just announced so reckon they'll be there, plus I think a good amount of indie to come on the undercard - Love Fame Tragedy, Lovejoy, Sundara Karma etc etc

have lived in Reading for over 40yrs and have attended the festival numerous times, my advise would be take some water proofs , good weather is not a given! plastic bags to go over your trainers are good as especially if the weather is bad it can turn into a swamp which inturn will turn your tent into a palace of poo!!!

IDLES play a random DJ set in a club in leeds on the Friday. Back from South America for 3 weeks would hope they play.

If a band does a secret set at Reading will they do one at Leeds? Or do most of them just happen exclusively at Reading

TDCC were main stage in 2021 I doubt they’d go lower
