Looking forward to my first ride on these, they sound so quiet & looks like a smooth ride,it's been a long time coming for us peninsulins to get brand new trains as I remember the trains before the one being outdated in the early 80s. Another great video, thanks Joel 👍
I agree, thank you!
I have heard that the Class 777 are very quiet but very smooth and quick.
Yes, definitely quieter and much quicker, I didn’t have to hold on as much on the 507/508s!
Absolutely
Having had a couple of rides on them I'd say two things. They seem to noticeably rock and roll over points and the seats pads are rock hard, otherwise they're great.
Can you even hear the motors ? There were alot of People on board
I see what you mean, I think it sounds clearer on the outside
@TravelTrainsandPlanes could you hear anything? Sometimes people's bodies acts like a sound shield I've noticed if the trains packed
I couldn’t hear a lot on the inside, then I went on later and there were far less people and it was still really quite quiet
@TravelTrainsandPlanes maybe its a result of where you were sitting, there's a video where I can here them now, They are quiet but audiable enough to hear they sound lovely. Maybe its perception haha. They are louder than aventras for sure, aventras sound like shit. Class 777s don't have 508 level of motor sound probably not something you'd be used to if it's your local.
