  • We spent TWO DAYS STRAIGHT with the 2024 Polaris Xpedition XP Northstar. The adventure-ready rig took on the sand and surf of Portsmouth Island, North Carolina, hauling camping gear and playing support for a quick fishing trip. Should you buy one or skip it for a cheaper rig?

You guys do realize there are 4 xpedition models right? A 2 seat and 4 seat ADV model as well as a 2 seat and 4 seat XP? You bought the least overlanding version of it.. like the version that someone might also use around the house for utility but its primary use is still to ride.

As an owner of one of these I can say that no full cab sxs is worth what they're asking these days. You pay over 10 grand to get an "enclosed" cab that leaks water, and dust at every door, and the windshield, with ac that barely cools on the hot days when you actually need it, because you're just blowing it out all the leaks. Then the dealership will tell you that it's an off-road vehicle and these things should be expected when you ask them to fix the issues. Should've got one without the cab, put soft doors, a windshield, and heater in it, and could've saved myself 9 grand.

I own this same 2 seater XP Northstar except in green. Mine is very well sealed, you get minimal dust and maybe an occasional drip of water in a carwash situation. The heat and A/C work perfect and will freeze or cook you. My only complaint is the crummy clutching from the factory and resulting noise. I do agree, they're overpriced, but what isn't now.

3 windshields and a new cage later and they still can't figure out how to make the windshield not leaked after 11 months

This is what I’m debating on. I’d ac really the important? If I’m paying that much for the xp5 I’m just going to spend 5 k more on the xd1500 and another 2k on shocks.. it’s only money right?

I seriously don't understand how you can review the smallest model they make and complain about space. Plan ahead and understand what you're buying people.
