it's certainly a premium SXS with a higher than average price point, I like it and it really showcases the best in the industry, the interior is a nice place to be, especially if you happen to get soaking wet and need a warm place to dry out !
I have owned 21 polaris and been happy with them all very [little] problems. Always up grading. Will definitely buy an expedition. First up grade HCR and 35 with shock therapy springs. Awsome
We just got our Polaris expedition last week. We love it.. It is so comfortable. It’s like riding in our Tahoe. Some people complain about the noise but we had a 2024 razor thousand XP and it was way louder than this one. One very, very poor design is the console but more than that inside the console are the charging plugs. They put them at the very top so if you go to plug in your phone and you shut the console lit it down on the charging cord, not sure who wasn’t thinking that day, but that is just, a huge mistake. I do wish it came in other colors
The price is high but by the time you take a xp general and add a full heated can and a 3 person bench or grab a northstar ranger and add high clearance a arms and shocks then you are right at the same amount. This machine needs very little of anything.
I'd agree. It's definitely caught my eye, as I just saw 3 on the trails in WI this weekend. I have a 2022 General XP, fully enclosed with heat, front and rear glass windows, tip down windshield, and custom rack on the back (add $1K). Mine was $38K. On caveat... I also have a plow with an electric actuator. I'm in that price point having most comparables, minus AC. I really like my General, so I'm not sure I will jump to sell and look at the Xpedition as an upgrade. And I get to plow my long ass driveway in the winter.
Depends on your use. If you work a lot then I would go 1500 but if you are hitting g the trails then just would go xped. From what I’ve heard the 1500 transmission leaves a lot to be desired for trail riding.
Its an amazing machine but the fit n finish on mine has been sub par. Leaky windshield and a noisey prop shaft at 5500 rpms. 3 windshields and another prop shaft later still not resolved
Something isn't correct with the key system on that rig, mine has 1 key that does everything (minus ignition). I agree with the noise, it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I have re-clutched mine and it's much better, but you shouldn't need to spend $500 to make it manageable.
I’m sorry, but this is super expensive, super loud in cab and in the end is a majority amount of moulded plastic. If it were street legal, then Polaris may have something here, but the noise is a major issue. Better to buy a mid size truck and you are one and done. I’m glad you closed the way you did, all true. Polaris, your target market is very small in comparison to the industry and I am sorry, but you are making probably 40 points on this…..good luck with the margin call.
Spot on video of this pricey pig! For someone with a farm or ranch who needs it for property work and occasional offroad trails (70/30 split) and can get a tax deduction, it's worth considering. However, for someone who primarily uses it for offroad trail rides, fishing, and hunting with an enclosed cabin, there are better options at a much lower price. For real offroad trails, I would rate it 5 out of 10. It's tippy due to high C.G., too heavy, not enough suspension travel, horrible suspension flex, and pricey! I would never in my healthy state of mind pay $40k for an OHV for real offroad trails that does not perform as it should, unless I had a farm/ranch and can write it off. Good lucky Polaris.
Polaris is raggedy. My brand new ranger has had more trouble in 1 year and 2000 miles then my 15 year old f150 with 200,000 miles that goes the same places. I've had 2 brand new polaris in my life and I'll never make this mistake again especially for the outrageous price. Just buy a old jeep or samurai and save 30,000
I agree, I've had a 99 Cherokee offroad over 15k and two Polaris side by sides. Polaris quality is suspect. They are more fun and ride better, but I don't trust them. My last Polaris had a wicked prop shaft noise. Just cheap crap.

Polaris has the update for the clutch to help with the noise
Yes but you lose a little top end
@sam_rules76 they aren't built for speed. That's why they're so low geared. I would wanna go very fast in a 3k lb machine with shotty brakes any how!
@@sam_rules76mine still goes 69 with the new clutch.

They are great but yes it takes alot of sound deadening!!!!

Question- We are in the market for a new machine, would you recommend the 1500 Northstar or the Expedition Northstar??
I wish they were 40.000 just bought one in Canada little over 60.000 including tax
Is there actually a front differential lock?
hmmm...witch one is now the better one..this ore the ranger 1500cc one ?

Piss poor dealership just swapping parts and not testing
Any electric (or ideally PHEV) version coming?
The other thing is legally you can only drive 35 mph in most States. So I'd rather buy a new truck
Got a side by side so I wouldn’t tear up my expensive truck now I ride my bicycle so I don’t tear up my expensive side by side
It really is a nice SxS the $40K price tag is the sticking point as much as you would like one the pocket book doesn't agree.
Over 55 Canadian ouch😢
Clown shoes!

I like the Kawasaki Ridge XR
Now if Polaris could only make a machine that holds up to actual use. Fit and finish they are light years ahead of everybody else. 😢

Too many options and nice things. I can see Polaris going out of business in the near future... getting away from the base.

@@davidschlarp1606when they are the same price you should
It is a nice rig ,but you can buy a small truck for the same cost, way over priced
I have a similar vehicle; it's a Jeep and it was cheaper than this.
I know what sets it apart. The f’n price.
Might as well buy a Jeep!
Polaris is delusional!
Nope won't spend 40K, I'd but a Jeep
Just making this comment means you never been on the trail. Keep riding your sofa buddy

I will take my mule work machine
40,000 for a vehicle that will only drive 10,000 miles....ridiculous
I just don’t get these things.
really replace our metal truck??with this overpriced plastic mini van with a 3 cylinder motor cycle engine YOUR JOKING
