This was the best video I found for learning sketch up. I learned the basic tools I need to do my project. The pace of the video was perfect for me. Thank you for the video
Nice! No, you don’t need a stylus or apple pencil for sketchup. You can use any iOS supported stylus or touch. help.sketchup.com/en/sketchup-ipad/system-requirements
I'm having issues with those minor adjustments or even moving the legs, they won't snap to the edge. is there something I need to change in the settings?
Do you think this is worth it vs Form it. I tried it for a month and, is way smoother and has better gestures and tools than form it, more intuitive too. But for 119 dollar i don’t know if is that kind of good. I actually like the way that form it extrudes more, with just the Pencil and no selecting a tool. The only thing that I don’t like is the UI that is absolute nonsense, with the menu in the bottom instead of the top or side. And I don’t know if it’s my iPad but form it looks hella pixelated vs the line smoothness of skp for iPad. Do you use it frequently in your workflow?. I’m trying to move all the conceptual process to the iPad, as an arch student, but I’m struggling to find a 3d modeler that is practical and I know will be useful
FormIt is a bit rough. Surprisingly capable though for a free modeler if you can get past the clunky UI. Materials really suck. If you happen to be eligible for an educational license as an arch student Shapr 3d has a free educational license and Morpholio Trace has a 75% off educational license. Those apps work great together and you could definitely make some dope conceptual process work for a portfolio. The SketchUp Studio student license is $55/year, I would consider that a really great value. I am trying to get in the habit of going to the iPad more to do fast conceptual models with Sketchup, but I have to break an old habit of just quick doing them on my CAD station. I’ll get there. The iPad is just so much more convenient.
@@KevoScott Yeah, I have that habit too but with revit. I actually use form it in its desktop version, and is good. But the iOS version is kind of a mess, is funny because form it iOS was the main reason why I bought an iPad and I barely use it hahaha. The reason why I don’t use shapr3d is because the formats that it can export to are basically useless to continue to the architectural documentation vs form it or skp. But I did’nt know that skp has a educational license. I’m gonna check that out!
For the legs? Two reasons and both for the sake of being able to iterate on design. 1) I may want the ability to move them without sticking to the top. 2) If they are components, then I can make changes to one leg in the future and all four will update.

You’re welcome. Happy modeling!
Thanks for the tips! Just downloaded the app for doing plans for builds but was overwhelmed with it. Now I’m feeling a little more comfortable
Glad I could help!
Nice parts inside your tutorial. Thank you
You're welcome 😊
Boa tarde, como adicionar o dynamic componente no sketshup iPad ?
Obrigada
Hello Sir!
I just bought an iPad Air 2, do I need an Apple Pencil for SketchUp? Can I use any other stylus of other company?

Hmm. Are you using Apple Pencil? Go into preferences and make sure pencil mode is set to just draw.
