    Dear Dimitra , I did this recipe . First my tastebuds thank you my husband love you my scale knows I have been baking again . This dish is absolutely heavenly you must must try folks . Thank you Dimitra I’ll be at the gym lol but it’s worth it ! Have a wonderful day .

    Dear Dimitra, you are my ‘go to lady’ for any Greek dishes. Thank you so much. I am slowly going through your recipes. Might I suggest that since you are reaching international audiences ( I am in Australia) that you could also give the oven temperatures in Celsius as well. XX

      @@DimitrasDishes Happy New year to you too Dimitra. Thank you for getting back to me. I was looking at a different Glaktoboureko recipe that didn’t have it in Celsius. I am going to try this recipe today. In your Video you mention using almonds but the recipe states walnuts. Does it make a difference which nuts are used? Thanking you for your time. Xx

    Yesterday I made your galatopita. Absolutely divine Dimitra thank you so so much for a beautiful dessert. The only thing I did different was a added orange zest to the custard and the topping of egg and sugar I added a dash of cinnamon powder. It was a great hit with my family and friends. They loved it.     OMG ! This custard pie is my all-time favorite Greek dessert. It’s the best custard, phyllo and honey combination possible.....so simple and yet SO delicious! You make everything look so easy ....maybe I can pull this off too! Custard delight with a wonderful honey sauce....I must have died and gone to heaven !

    Dear Dimitra,
    I wanted to express my gratitude for sharing your delicious Galatopita recipe. I have a recommendation that may enhance the flavor and texture of the custard cream. I suggest using the Herbaila brand Semolina flour, as it is finely ground and produces a smoother custard. Additionally, I have found that substituting vanilla extract with Nielsen-Massey Pure Vanilla Bean Paste adds a bold and rich flavor to the dish.

    I just made Galatopita for the first time today! I like the idea of adding the nut mixture between the layers! I used blood orange zest in my custard.
    Nicely done video and hope to see more recipes in the future

    My family makes galatopita with milk, cornmeal, cottage and feta cheese, eggs, butter and salt. It is more of a cornbread consistency and goes well as a side dish.

    I enjoyed a dessert I was told was called Floyeras years ago at a Greek restaurant that I loved. It is long since closed but I would love to know how to make that dessert!

      Flogeres are delicious! Did the restaurant make them with sweet cheese (the traditional way) or with a semolina cream like this pie?

      @@DimitrasDishes I believe it was sweet cheese. All I really remember was ordeing it EVERY time I went there and it was delicious! I miss that restaurant so much!! They also made the best lamb shanks I have ever had 😋

      She noted almonds while preparing the pie...listed WALNUTS in the written out ingredients, and of course you could use pecans as well.

    Can you substitute Erythritol or Swerve to make this Keto friendly and how much would you use?

      I don't think that would work for this recipe. There's semolina in it (not keto friendly) and also milk, and the phyllo... This one is for an indulgent cheat day :)

    I LOVE custard pie, but alas I cannot eat it for it has sugar in it. I can only have stevia, honey & fruit puree for sweetener. sigh!
