To extend mixer shank 10mm socket will fit ( a bit tight so clean paint off) so super glue will hold a Hex Nut Driver 80/100/150mm Deep Socket Adapter Impact Drill Bit 1/4 Hex Shank £7 ish off eBay.. Basically, a 10mm socket on a 150mm rod with a impact chuck hex end to hold in drill
Thanks Patrick. I wouldn’t use a combi drill for a big mix. I’ve just moved to the makita DUT130 mixing drill that would do it I reckon. But if your mixing 3/4 bag mix I’d probably use a mains mixer.
@@patrickwhitlow6906 the Mixm8 paddle has made a big difference to me. It does mix the stuff quicker and in my opinion takes some of the strain of the drill. But I wouldn’t trust the combi drill for a big mix.
I haven't used the board finish before. How does it compare to Multi finish? Great shout with this attachment. My transformer packed in last week and I couldn't get another ready for the next day so I tried a standard drill paddle whisk attachment. So much easier to carry around !
Hi George, For me I prefer board finish. I find it’s more consistent and doesn’t go as fatty as multi finish. I’ve not missed my transformer. Battery mixers are the way forward if you ask me 👍
Hi Paul, they have them in my local merchants Thorncliffes. I’ve seen them in tool station. But I think they are harder and harder to find. I believe a company called Delko has just bought the rights for it. So I’ll have a look into it.
Hi you can buy an sds attachment for the m14 version so you can use it with a bigger sds cordless drill making it easier to clean bit more robust than a small cordless love mine used them a few years now
They’re worth a punt. They’re youngman boards I’ve had them for years, they were my dads and he bought them off a builder we knew who was retiring. One of the best things we ever bought and they were cheap 😀
I use a £500+ Festool mixing drill at college and then one of these for mixing at home - I’m no pro but honestly I can’t say the mixing drill produces a better mix than this! Plus, this is way easier to clean. The black paint is chipping off the shank but overall it works great.

Hi. How would this work with a bigger bucket? Say 3/4 bags. Would the cordless drill drive it or have you tried it? Thabks. Good reviews

@@AnthonyParryPlastering I was thinking. Would be some game changer of that could mix up the big buckets for us!!

Hi Anthony,
Good watching your videos keep up the good work.
Could you let me know where you got your ox m14 paddle mixer from?
Thanks Paul

hi, liking the videos :)
I went to a similar set up over a year ago when my mixer died. I've not missed dragging a transformer round one bit!
Thanks bud, yeah i don’t miss my transformer on my van that’s for sure.

That’s a good shout, I think I got the sds attachment somewhere on my van. cheers for watching
Might have to invest in one of those, where did you get the platforms you put on your hop up mate?

Great videos lad. I've got a dewalt battery mixer what will work great with this paddle, think I'm going to purchase one. Keep the vids coming ✌
Thanks Jason, I will. yeah I fancy one of the dewalt cordless drills they look like a great bit of kit 👍
Great review thanks
Thanks for watching 👍

I think it’s definitely got it place. I’ve been using the Mixm8 for a year and I think the stuff I mix is spot on.
Thanks for watching 👍
