Bo and din changed his outlook on what was worth fighting for .when the helped save his son they did so without hesitation they fight for the greater good not just power or to protect only thier own .I believe paz in the end realized that was the path he to wanted to take and if he would've lived he would've tried his best to rescue din ,I think was another reason he stayed .
