I mean if you’re killing the same enemies and getting the same experience and taking the same damage boosts every time, then you can pretty easily know what your HP will be by learning the route itself and what you need to damage boost through.
Technically my favourite Metroidvania is Salt & Sanctuary, but I like to distinguish between Souls-like and Metroidvania even though they aren't mutually exclusive. That leaves me with Circle of the Moon also being my favourite Metroidvania.
I'm only like 5mins in and I'm totally confused on what you did....when those big spikes came up from the bottom of the screen and I guess managed to glitch up to Alucards boss fight room, and somehow he wasnt fighting you back at all, and then you used the bone trick with the giant bone to take him out, and then you got mad level ups lol I've never seen someone who knew this game so inside and out like this b4. Badass! I've probably played Aria Of Sorrow then Harmony Of Dissonance the most beating them and replaying them again and again I've never stumbled upon games like these that I love soo much now. Blew my mind I wasnt familiar with the metroidvania games until a few years ago when I bought the Advance collection. Probably the best deal of games I've ever bought!
You're wicked fast on the menuing. I've been studying Japanese, but I can't read it anywhere near that fast yet. And that font is 8x8... a lot of the kanji are hard to read at that size.
Ah, I just got to the Skeleton Medalist part where you get a Toy Ring and you say "I don't know what that was" with the item name still on the screen. Took me that long to figure out it was pure memorization and you can't read a word of Japanese. That's an impressive level of memorization!
I just dicover that Cotm has 4 more modes aside from classic mode, in the menu when you put your name you can type four names to get four different modes, and you unlock in order by beating this modes, first is FIREBALL that is magician mode, you get all DSS cards from the start, second is GRADIUS that is fighter mode and you are really strong with the whip but cant use magic, next is CROSSBOW that is shooter mode and this makes your subweapon stronger with low cost of hearts and the dagger sub weapon if you pick another one becomes a homminh dagger, and last is the mode in the video, imput DAGGER and you get thief mode and your luck stat is really high per lvl with the limit being 9999, i just discover this and i think it makes this game really fun to replay like any other castlevania game.
looking for an old certain game. I remember it just similar to ninja gaiden or castleveinia in term of gameplay. The game have a stage that is when you reach to a certain map you will see the whole background of the map is black. the entire map have lot of giant iron bar maybe the color of the iron bar is white. It's like a giant prison because behind the those iron bar is the princess stuck and imprison behind the bar. when you reach at the end of that prison map you will see princess behind the bar and a boss ready to fight you. I don't remember if defeat the boss will rescue the princess behind those giant iron bar. the princess size is just as big as the character player control. Anyone of think of?
@@OnslaughterEx You are wrong, luck works properly in Circle of the Moon, so it does affect the gameplay unlike Harmony of Despair, Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow where it does not affect the gameplay cause it simply doesn't work
He’s playing Thief Mode. Most of your stats are lower aside from iirc Intelligence but you get a lot more Luck which makes item drop rates considerably higher. It would sensibly be the preferred mode of a completionist speedrun
It’s crazy how u know the situations where u will be left like at 1hp and still run and know you’ll make it to the next safe point

"Well this is not good."
-Jupiter, several times during the run
I love this game played many hours when I was a kid on a computer emulation
I'm amazed by how speedrunhers manage to remember complex route planning. Even with maps I get list in metrovanias
First time, I've seen a speed run heavily dependent on RNGesus. Good God GG.
What I liked this game: works like Megaman. There are cards that used against specific bosses will lead to very easy victories.
Circle of the Moon is my favorite GBA Castlevania.
CotM is my favorite Castlevania and Metroidvania game. Also in my top 3 favorite games of all time.
Good taste

Playing this game. One time an enemy give me a punch that throw me inside the wall, then disappeared. I had to reset the game but was funny xD
7:29 That's tight af
Bold move Cotton…

How are you getting these drop rates? What did you do?
Luck mode bro

14:24 how to do that trick
1:35 how did you do that?
To activate the card swap glitch, just press L, then switch to your desired combo during the start-up animation. As easy as it looks!
Shoutouts to Dagger mode
How did you skip the Necromancer's 2nd form?
Due to the fact that he lost all of his life thanks to the boning, there was no second phase.
How did you do that jump at 14:21

Anyone of think of?
What happens if you try to defeat the second dracula in the beginning of the run? 06:39 ??
I guess this would get you directly to the ending, but since this is a 100 % he doesn't do this.
The game would end
32:50
What a trick!!!
At 23:30 is there a reason for running around to go down instead of just dropping down the hole?
That route is taken to collect the map tiles. There's no real reason to go there otherwise.
When he turned into a skele in first boss I’m thinking to myself, ok wtf. So many glitches and exploits, makes me wonder how these were found lol.
How did you activate the faster run. You didn't even have the cards yet...
como es tienes 1600 de suerte al comenzar?
How get 1600 base luck ?
I think it's the third mode unlocked after beat the game 2 times. But really, 1600 luck doesn't affect the gameplay so much.
@@OnslaughterEx You are wrong, luck works properly in Circle of the Moon, so it does affect the gameplay unlike Harmony of Despair, Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow where it does not affect the gameplay cause it simply doesn't work
Yakno. Tbh. My bad. For being a fiend for save spots
Ig, im just not Sekiro enough for this gaame
why do you have 5k luck?

Your remind me how trash i am at this 😂😂
Cara modifica ese castelo
Yeah, I'm one of those people that watch your tierlist, I do not watch gameplays as much. I'm ready to hear how wrong your tierlist is XD
Please do a no commentary 100% run on the english version with no glitches and don’t edit out farming the DSS cards
I don't think they'll do no English becasue it's a lot faster on Japanese because of the shorter amount of characters needed.
How is your luck stat at 6940
The beauty of Thief Mode
@@JupiterClimb is luck the only stat in this game that can reach 9999 without cheats or hacks?
@@dmas7749In Thief mode yes. Only Luck can reach 9999 legitimately
