Thanks for the all of the kind comments it’s a pain to attempt this clasp swop at home with a camera directly in front of my sight line! It’s done to help true fans to see how to do it! Again I really do appreciate you taking the time to both watch and comment! Plus it’s my privilege to be an Omega Customer and fan of this amazing watch Brand!
I purchased a bracelet yesterday for me speedy as I bought mine on the leather strap and deployment,I had the bracelet brand new at an amazing £425 without micro adjustment but will upgrade probably in new year
Great video ,thank you for the demonstration
Outstanding. Thank you Brendan. Cheers
No problem, it’s only a 3 minute swop at home, my camera was directly in front of me so it was done by me almost by touch.
@@BrendanBoswell really enjoy your channel. Always look forward to your content.
As long as you understand it’s a laugh and part of my hobby. Again appreciate you taking the opportunity to comment in a constructive manner too.
Great job, better that I’d do it👍. I’ve got the same watch on the black leather strap. I wonder how much a bracelet would be🤔
The camera is in my way so I’m doing it almost blindfolded! It’s a lot easier without the camera in the way! Do you want the serial number for the full bracelet?
@@BrendanBoswell yes please if you have it.
020Z017493 This Bracelet has the new clasp upgrade too! Probably £750 to £850
@@BrendanBoswell thank you
Hi, great video. Do you know if, by any chance, would it fit an omega speedmaster reduced. Thank you
I don’t think it will fit ☘️
Thanks for sharing! Am I correct to assume that the new clasp still has the disappointing 2 micro adjustment positions, even if it's got the on the fly adjustment capability?
Yes it’s a tiny adjustment.
Great content, could you tell me how much was the part? And did you order it or they had it there ? Tks
Around £190 they have them in store at Omega 260 Regents St, ask for Kelly!
How did you find the overall sizing of the bracelet with the new clasp compared to the original? Is it any smaller, larger or just the same once fitted?
Fits the same no difference.
what is the green and blue colour under the clasp is that protective film that you haven't peeled off yet?
Yes
This was IMO the only thing missing from the new speedy to make the watch 100% perfect. I tried months ago to order this piece directly with Omega who said no we can’t do that. I got my speedy before the 1000 GBP increase. I wouldn’t have bought it at that price. I found it hard enough even getting my head around the 2022 price. I kept battling with the idea of selling it cause I’m not that well off. It also was stepping into Rolex DJ territory which I’m on the waiting list for. DJ 41mm Jubilee strap, and either the blue dial or green. And also the Motif versions. I have a feeling Ill be called up for one in the next few months.
Thanks for great content and showing us how we can make our speedmaster perfect for all conditions (hot/cold).
You have the serial number now contact Omega Directly in your country they will be happy to supply the upgrade! Appreciate when one of my videos actually helps a fellow watch lover. Thanks again for sharing too.
🤔I’m satisfied with the old clasp, but now I see this, I’m doubting to get the new clasp. But in all honesty, I think I never use this feature 😅
Edit: I’m going for the new clasp 🤣
@@julianmoriati4682 how much was it? 200?
Just under £200
Would have been great with 2-4 adjustment options. But having the same as the original is a huge let down.
It is what it is I’m afraid, I’ve not needed to use it as the bracelet adjusts itself. But I like having that option.
It doesn't look good in the open position either way.
IT’s hard to do it and video it at the same time. The adjustment is very small about 3mm
Hi Brendan, really like the channel. What is the model and name of that type of screwdriver please? Thanks
Are you taking the Michael? It’s all there on the video in front of you within the first 60 seconds!
@@BrendanBoswellyes after a bit of zooming in. Wouldn’t have hurt to write it in a comment. Sorry to take up so much of your time 🕰️
@@ASB88There is no pleasing some people 😂😂😂
@@ASB88Don’t be offended I honestly thought you were joking!
Do you know if the dimensions of the adjustment are exactly the same? Ie is the out position with the push clasp the same as the out position of the non-adjustable?
It looks longer but I didn’t have to remove a link after,
Do you believe that this is the same for speedmaster 38mm?
No
Thank you for sharing. How much is the new clasp?
Just under £200
@@BrendanBoswell Thank you.
Nice video, but I wouldn't trust the screws to stay in place like this without loctite. You should add some loctite 222 before putting the screws back in.
You will struggle to get them out again!
@@BrendanBoswell Not at all if you use the correct loctite (222). At least you know it will stay in place. The screws by themselves don't provide a long thread to stay in place. They are just meant to touch the link, and stick to it with loctite. Omega does use loctite from factory.
So you haven’t seen my loctite 222 video than! Posted it months ago.
@@BrendanBoswell No, but I have used it for years on all my Omega screw/pin bracelets and it works like a charm. If you want to risk losing a screw and getting your watch falling on the floor it's really up to you. Everyone makes their own choices.
I’m confused why do you keep giving me advice on something I already know about and use?
What size wrist? It looks like you removed 3 links from the 6 o’clock side and 1 from the 12 o’clock side?
6.75
Great video and great upgrade. I purchased the speedy Nixon bracelet that comes on the latest Safire speedy and has the micro adjust clasp, I put this on my snoopy and it looks awesome.
Regards
Keith.
Thanks for the info!
I’m jealous I still can’t get one in😂
UK? Based?
Great video on doing this install. Bracelet adjustments can be difficult without a camera in the way. I got my 3861 a few months after it was released and felt the missing micro adjust was what kept this watch from being perfect. I didn’t know this change had happened until I stumbled upon your other video and will be making a trip to my local AD this weekend.
My AD in the UK can take your order over the phone and get it to you by Monday morning! If your in the UK call 260 Regents St, Omega Boutique ask for Kelly, she is set up to help people who have watches my videos. It’s around £190
You are the first to notice that it’s twice as hard to do it with a camera in the way! Another tip get the right size screwdriver and pre loosen all the screws to make sure they all come lose before you start as if you get one that won’t budge you know to STOP IMMEDIATELY and bring it to an AD to swop it instead. Much respect for watching and hopefully subscribing.
@@BrendanBoswell £190 is the cost of labor for the boutique correct? how much is the actual clasp may I ask?
No the Clasp is £190 max! They would not charge you to swop it! Omega Boutique’s are all about the Customer!
@@BrendanBoswell oh wow! so do I just call Kelly for everything? I'll be in London in three weeks so this would work out perfect
