Very nice to see you again Linda. You have some very good books there, some of which I have read. I really like Scott Pecks books, I used to read them as soon as they came out. I think he possesses a lot of wisdom. Hope to see you soon again.
Scott Peck - well, this is the first time I've read one of his books. Don't know why I never got through The Road Less Traveled. I tried it once... didn't get far though.

I loved All the Light We Cannot See and am glad to see that you're enjoying it as well.
Yes, All the Light We Cannot See is amazing. I usually read it just at bedtime but I'm liking it so much, I want to read it when I'm not so likely to fall asleep after only one or two chapters.
I usually read before bed as well but for this books and others I'm enjoying I usually read on the weekend. It allows me to read more chapters and it's very satisfying. 😆
Sound like some interesting books! People of the Lie sounds like a great read.
Hi, about People of the Lie, I thought you'd have read that one already - but for a book by a psychiatrist, it is easy reading. I suspect that most of what you read would go over my head. Except Lonesome Dove - I saw you were reading that and it is on my long-term TBR as I've heard so many people say how good it is.

I think the Road Less Traveled is much better than People of the Lie, which is so negative in my opinion. However, I have to agree you have some great books there! I loved All the Light We Cannot See and Their Eyes Were Watching God. By the way, my husband and I are hoping to travel to Northern Idaho this summer. I'm really looking forward to seeing some beautiful country.
Idaho is lovely... I hope you'll go as far north as Sandpoint at least. The "Trinity on the Beach" outdoor patio is a great place to eat and see the lake at the same time. Anyhow . . . I should read The Road Less Traveled... don't know why I never did. Thanks for recommending it.

Argh, I didn't know that Burial Rites is going to be a movie! Now I have to get to that soon.
Jennifer Lawrence will play the lead role in the movie adaption of Burial Rites. I was fascinated by the Icelandic culture, in the novel. You will want to know what a badstofa is. There are pictures on the web.

Question, do you read privately for an Author. I am looking for a dedicated beta readers with a good honest review.
Hi there - I would read, depending on the genre. From your profile it looks like you're doing fantasy, which is not my usual genre. Also, I would never agree to read a first draft. It should be edited through by the author once or preferably twice first, if we're talking about an unpublished novel. Good luck with your writing.
