I own and operate a small dental/medical repair shop specializing in autoclave repair and I love this channel. I want to expand my knowledge, go back to school for biomedical tech and grow my business and this channel is one that I watch daily to study. For such a niche field this kind of thing is valuable.
Up to you, but should shape table as a 14:24 upside U and lower table until table take’s weight of table before working on hydraulics. I learned this at Skytron training. Old biomed with many oops. Enjoy your videos from retired side of the fence.
Very similar to the 6500 beds my hospital has, this type of repair can look quite intimidating but once you know the bed its actually quite fun and interesting.
I’m only in my first year of school, so a lot of the mechanical terminology was above my head, but you did a good job explaining yourself. Great video! I learned a lot and it was a fun watch too 😊
Thanks. If I am explaining a failure to medical staff I use a much simpler explanation. One of the reasons I strive to use the most correct technical terminology is to teach the correct terminology to people that will need to explain their symptoms to manufacturer engineers or to document the exact failure in work orders. You can always research terms that are above your head but there is no help when you need to decipher someone's poorly documented failure history. Good luck in your studies!
The springs on the pistons should be replaced if you have them out, they compress over time... The speed is adjusted with the small screw on the side of the block not the top, but as far as i can tell judging by all your videos you sir are an awesome tec.
If you check at 11:00 and 23:44 , you can see that hydraulic valves block after cleaning is 180° rotated when placed back. All the other brass blocks have the marking strip at the corner on the rear left side next to the mounting bolt. These blocks are probably symmetrical on both sides, but i noticed this little change :-)
You are correct. The block is symmetrical. I've experimented with the orientation in the past without issue. Proper orientation matters for the needle valve speed controls for up / down hydraulic speed. Since I completely disassemble the block, those speed settings are lost and need adjustment anyways.
Hello. One question. I am repairing a skytron 6001 table. The customer informed me that when weight is applied to the table the table starts to lean to one side. Either when someone sits on the table or when the patient is lying down, the table makes a lateral movement. I clarify that this movement is done when the table is not activated by the button panel. At first I thought that this problem could be caused by air in the hydraulic system, but I have already bled the entire system and the table continues to move. What could be causing this problem?
Thanks! Look me up on LinkedIn: Justin Barbour and Tell me about the Tenacore position. I will post it across my network to help you get that position filled.

Thanks man! Also, check out the dental equipment repair channel for additional dental tips etc
Nice job. Always make sure of head clearance when getting under these “tanks”. The structure is unforgiving. Great video. TY

Do the o rings need to be replaced ? Is there after so many hours of ops to replace them ?
@@personone8415 i have never needed to. There are very few manifold leaks over a skytron lifetime
thank you! please post if you have a chance to replace or fix the brakes,
Thank you so much for the important knowledge and skills you teach your views
Thanks Omar.
I can't wait to watch this but I need to go to bed 😭. Watch it when I get time tomorrow.
Wow, great video and explanation. Thank you for sharing.
WOW great video , thanks for your great efforts to share this valuable knowledge

The hollow bolts are called "Banjo-bolts" :)

Check to see if there is a leak at the table tilt piston. Common known problem. Tilt rebuild kit includes new brass piston.
Very educational.. I work for a company called BENQ which have similar hydraulic setup..
José , please what is the number part for the Craftsman rachet set
Very well presented.
Thanks
Nice tutorial!
Thank you very much for Sharing very interesting
Nice job 👏
Thanks. I just posted another surgical table video a couple days ago
Well done

Do you have service manuals for these equipment
Possibly. I haven't needed them.
hii can you please make video for table pump heating problem
I have never heard of this problem. Write me at abetterbiomed@gmail.com and I might be able to assist.
thank you for response.
nice
If biomedical technicians fix the medical equipment, what do clinical engineers do?
They usually manage the whole program or the handle special projects
If you somehow loose your job because of bad negative people, you can always go and repair some BMW ZF gearboxes , I'm sure you will like them.
Can you help me the ref of oil
Steris brand tables use Chevron AW ISO 32 hydraulic oil. Skytron = Mobil DTE #25
@@BetterBiomedChannel thanks for your response ,I ask you if possible manual service for OT Maquet orthostatar II
Thank you for all
