No matter how the quality of a certain doll is low, you always make me see the bright side and the good elements of it while you’re reviewing! This is why I really love your reviews because you really don’t forget the good parts while mentioning the bad parts and that’s what makes your videos so special! You always change my mind about dolls and how to look at them and appreciate the little things. So thank you so so much suresh❤️
Bravo!!!! That was so well said. I, for I for one, applaud and thank you for bringing me so much entertainment as well as product knowledge. Your videos were among the first I watched after starting my collection only 3 short months ago. But you've taught me so much and exposed me to so many lovely dolls and care techniques that I'd otherwise not have known about. So, once again Thank you for your time, your effort and your expertise! Ps you are adorable and I wish you everlasting happiness in your relationship ❤💖💗💕
I think she is fabulous! I love the little details: buttons on the cuffs, adorable functioning clutch, adorable well fitting shoes, and the moto-jacket and blue dress are so exquisite! And best of all, she is actually attainable at an affordable price. So good to see you again, too, Suresh!
I love, love, love this doll. I love the box, the doll, the outfits. Just lover her. I know you will to. The only thing I don't care for is the Tennis shoes, a little pair of flats would have been so much cuter. Cant wait to see your reaction as you unbox her. I thought of you when I unboxed her.
Hi Surresh, I forgot to ask have you ever considered collecting vintage barbies and possibly giving your opinion on them? I know you love the old couture fashion. And the fashion they made are amazing from early 1960s
Thank you sooooo much Suresh. Thank you for your positivity I truly appreciate it and share your outtake on negativity situation in the doll community. And yes, your assessment is on point there are far more important things in the world. Once again thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊
I love the faux leather jacket and the blue dress. I think the fact that this doll can wear both flats and high heels is amazing 🤩 I wish this innovation was around longer because that’s just incredible. If I owned this doll I would totally try to buy a camisole (maybe from eBay?) with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline and pair it with the blazer and pants ensemble but add the black stilettos instead of the sneakers- definitely a black camisole to match those stilettos! Ooo okay the ideas are pouring now 😆 the black camisole with the black leather jacket and the pink pants and the black stilettos!!! Definitely add a black camisole to this wardrobe! Super cute! 💕
I'm of the mind that constructive criticism can be a good thing - especially for fellow doll nuts who may want to hear different perspectives and may be on the fence about a major purchase like this. With that said, I find this to be a lackluster product. I'm the first one to lavish praise when I see innovative design but I just don't find that here...the milquetoast Milli face, simplistic clothing and suburban chick hairstyle are kind of a turn-off. But that's just me and I am happy for anyone who loves this doll.
As always, I love your videos…thanks for reminding this community that being honest is not a key to be negative and disrespectful. I enjoyed this review very much!! ❤️❤️
I bought this doll and I have no regrets with my purchase. The Millie sculpt is not my cup of tea, but I like this closed mouth version with this wavy shorter hair style.
I love your review and I love the points you've made about the negative posts. I hate seeing people through negative shade on the designers. I really love your informative, educational, and upbeat reviews. Please keep on doing what you do!
I love watching you go piece by piece. I just love to watch anything you review. I still hate the doll, but I enjoyed watching your breakdown of the product. The lined Jacket, I appreciate they did that.
Once again reminded the hair 👌🏽 looks fun working with your wardrobe too! Ps love your descriptions/references too, so informative and perhaps my favourite parts 🥰
This video came at the perfect time, for days I have been contemplating on buying this doll and you are basically my go to when I am looking to buy collector Barbies. I am deciding between this one or the Wonder Woman 2-pack but I might actually get this one, don't quite know yet but I want all the Barbie Style Dolls when they release
I absolutely love your reviews. :) Even if there is something you may not like you still keep it upbeat. I am so so tired of watching or attempting to watch a doll review and all it is is just hating on the doll, the company, etc. I come here, to UA-cam, to get excited and smile and enjoy dolls. Not hear grown adults complain about dolls. I get so excited when I see you post a review because I know I will enjoy it. BTW, you are looking so good in this video. I love the blonde on you. :)
Here, here. Love the video. Received my barbie yesterday. Love all your videos. You rekindled my love of collecting. I'm in Canada sandra. Wheres the bow tie?
Well said Surresh😀👏👏...thank you for always giving your honest opinion with a positive spin. I hope you and your family are doing well. I love your review on this doll 💘😻💜.
I agree with you on the MTM body, it is not my favorite, although it can be fun to pose I prefer the joints to be covered with clothes. I think this doll is pretty and I don't hate the MIllie sculpt but I think it would have been nice if they did a little something extra with her makeup, something to set her apart more from the playline Millie.
I agree with you. I was a designer for some clothing company. My final designs are normally altered.. Their asking me to change this change that to meet the projected cost/budget to the point that I no longer see the final product that i want. So its not the designers fault. Its the company who's restricting you
The style line coming along with the new looks line seems like a great strategy, since the style dolls come with an extra outfit and the looks line are more basic, great to mix and match and pose for that instagram look. If only I could afford the style gals
I used to be active on the Mattel message boards back in the day, and I was kind of blown away by the massive negativity I would see in those conversations. Discussions about the dolls I liked would be peppered with comments from people who don't even collect those dolls, talking about how ugly and cheap they were. It seemed like the really toxic people were exclusively Silkstone collectors, though of course a lot of Silkstone collectors were perfectly lovely. There are certainly lots of dolls that I don't particularly like and therefore don't collect, but I will tell you that I do not consider discussing those dolls a productive use of my time. I was never a fan of the I Love Lucy dolls, so I just didn't follow those conversations. I certainly didn't feel the need to tell people who liked the dolls that they should feel bad for liking them or whatever. But some people just want to spread their negativity around. I let that community go after a while, and I think it was a good decision. This particular doll doesn't really grab me, but I think she's cute. I am one of the people who does like the Made To Move bodies, but I also prefer when the joints are camouflaged by the clothing. I'm not a super fan of Velcro either, but I do like how smooth and flat Velcro makes the garment, and how it gives you a little bit of room to adjust the fit. It's also super easy to remove the Velcro and sew on metal hooks and thread loops, like Integrity uses. I think the pink suit would benefit greatly from a good press.
I am holding off on buying this one, but I think the design is a step in the right direction for Mattel with respect to collectors. I am waiting to see how #2 and #4 turn out because those look more interesting to me,. Also, if the new Barbie Looks dolls turn out to be essentially the same quality of doll with fewer clothes for $20, then it will lessen the chance I will spend the extra money on Barbie Style.
Pictures of the next 3 are available. #2 will be AA, then a possibly Asian doll (not sure how to classify) on a curvy body, and finally a Latina. They all have dark hair.
The bigest problem with Mattel is not designs but quality of their produkt. I stopped buying dolls because of that, it is almost impossible to buy a doll without crooked eyes. They only look good on photoshoped promo pictures and it's sad.
I agree. I have been collecting since the beginning of this year, and for certain Barbies I have had to order several dolls in an attempt to get a good one. Often they all have a flaw (could be eye paint, could be lip paint, could be black spots on face, etc.). For a few, I have had to give up on getting that model, and I am only picky about the face. Other dolls have come looking great, but it seems to be less than 1/3, across price ranges; very hit or miss. So, yes, things like that are a bigger problem for me than the design. Oh, and the process that causes eye pixellation in some dolls; that’s not a factory error but a process flawed from the start.
Suresh, today is 6/8/22 and I am looking through your You Tube videos- Did you do a video on "Unicorn Goddess Barbie" and if you did how can I find it? I want to view it. Thank you.
I'm always closing my eyes when you go to pull the head off the plastic backing 😅 When I have to take off those little plastic tabs, they don't leave enough room for scissors, so I take a pair of nail clippers and clip them off. Might be worth a try 🙂
I AM HERE FOR THE PSA ON NEGATIVE NANCY'S!!! I had to put that in caps I was feeling it in my soul! As you said there are so many other things happening in the world we do not to be arguing about dolls! If you don't like it don't buy it. If you have an option, cool but please learn how to deliver it with out being rude. It is getting out of hand.
I think some of this attitude and behaviour is a reflection of what is happening in the outside world. The stress of a pandemic and political division is both leading people to seek an area of escape where things can be “perfect” and making them less empathetic and respectful of other people’s opinions. That’s my theory, anyway. We are all going through things of one sort or another, and I can see that for people who create content and also just want to enjoy their hobby, it can be wearing. A little trying to look at things from different perspectives goes a long way.
@@c.w.2000 Just to be clear I was agreeing with what was said in the video. I also agree many are going through hardships. But there is no excuse for rudeness and hate to a other person especially on their work.
@@justchristophertv For sure. I meant my last sentence for the people writing rude things, not for you. Gonna comment so maybe there’s one less “negative Nancy” I come to this channel for fun! ❤️ I collect only dolls I love! And this is one I like, but won’t be getting, just not the kind of doll I collect! I hope people stop complaining on your channel! To the people in the comments, it’s okay if you don’t like this one, maybe you’ll like the next one more!
I ran a doll group myself and let me tell you, the hate this doll gets is unbelievable. Like yes, she's not the best thing ever, but come on, she's not THAT bad. Before they can order it the higher will check all the prices of material and its in the budget. Company always look for not expensive material. Now if they order materials and fabric will go cut section.where they do pattern and cut the fabric mind you cutting fabric in small scale is very difficult. In small mistake it can make a lot of waste.after cutting it will go sewing whish also difficult part they are so tiny and consume more time than sewing human clothes. to make story short processing goes. It's not easy. The top management always decide the final product. And if Mattel lost money before they using resources that they have I guessed.Especially now pandemic and crises affect the material and fabric. The prize is getting higher.Even our food we buy and essential thing get expensive. Where not only the one experience this all of us. As doll collector we even buy doll clothes hand made in etsy just for simple one piece of jacket already cost almost like 20 euro. Imagine this whole set and with quality package.sorry it very long my comment 😅. Well done to you Suresh 👍
Thank you for your perspective; you make some good points. I know nothing about how much it actually costs to make a doll, but I think people compare to MGA dolls like Rainbow High or LOL OMG for under $30, so it makes a doll like this seems high priced. I also know just the fact that they make so many play line dolls will make a collector doll like this with lower production cost more. So, it’s tricky to actually say how much a doll “should” cost.
It is a problem when Mattel sends the dolls to collectors for a revision, since this turns in praise to the doll, this happened with the previous video of the pink collection barbie, a cheap "silkstone" doll that looked totally plastic , in this case, this doll is a barbie MTM "gold label", $ 100 dollars, with a "nice" box and medium quality clothes, and it is obvious that the company sends you the best dolls, which is different from If you buy it in the store, you can get a dress with a crooked skirt, folded heels, a poorly made suit, and I even saw a boy whose cell phone was broken, and yes, the company's situation is understandable, but the problem is that the quality decreases and the costs increase, just search in google "barbie on location dolls", a line of dolls from 2007 with the same concept as this one, only they were "pink label", they came with 3 outfits of incredible quality, many accessories, unique faces and details beautiful, quality bodies, and they did not cost more than $ 50 dollars, I can not believe that someone with so much knowledge, with a collection of incredible dolls, can say that this is cute

Every era of dolls has its flaws.
