I am sharing something that helped me view the footage on laptop. After recording in camcorder you have to finalize the disk then plug in your laptop to view the footage. If you don't finalize your PC would not be able to read the disk. In your camcorder settings you will find the finalize option. Hope this helps :)
hi quick question! after you finalize can you use the same disk to record something else? like if you were to delete the footage after saving it on your computer to get the time used back
Omg Thank you so much, Just recently my mom gave me her Video camera since she didn't wanted anymore, she handed to me and I've been using for the past weeks and I have been having issues to get the videos to download and no luck but thanks to your Tutorial video, it helped me a lot. Thank you so much! ✨✨
@@OkGonzo hopefully you figured it out by now but you should be able to format the cd with your computer(i’ve never tried to format a cd but i have been successful with an sd card and ssd)
So I have similiar Sony DCR-DVD202E model and I bought a batterypack, it is not original and the problem is that I put the AC cable on and it seems to charge it because the yellow-orange light is ON, but later it starts to blink slow. The camera was not in use in years. I have 2 original batterypacks with the InfoLITHIUM sings etc. but there is the same problem with both of them. They are very old so maybe thats the reason, but with the new battery that I bought now? What is the problem? I can't find any help anywhere. The thing is that the camera works good while connected to the AC charger. Then I can record, open the DVD pocket, basically all works good. Years ago the charging worked normal, I have never had the separate charger for those batterypacks. I've charger them attached to the camera and it worked good. Help.
Hi andrei like you video can ask andre please why my camcorder is doesnt work unfinalize and finalize. Do u know why.my mini decs is dvd rw help please the same ur camcorder 12x thank u
How to finelize the mini disk? Do you have to get a dc-kabel form the charger? And how to get the videos stuck on the disk. It didnt work for me. I have a camcorder like this, but not Sony, Its panasonic. And i cant make it work with the disc, i dont know how Its working. And how to burn the videos. Becasue i record the disk full, and then it was nothing on it when i took it in my ps4, too look at the videos i have filmed.
Don't know why this has ever been a thing since there is literally no benefit compared with miniDV

Yes actually. The codec is more easily compatible since it's standard Mpeg2; No real-time transfer because DVD is non-linear so it will be transferred as fast as the drive is able to read it; Quality is just as good as MiniDV with way lower bit rate and 4:2:0 Chroma subsampling on DVD vs. 4:1:1 on MiniDV, so better color resolution with less artifacts. It's overall a little bit more convenient than tapes, just not big enough of a step up to justify a whole new line of cameras. It was in practice just a fad.
When I try to send the file via email or messenger let’s say it just corrupts it and it tells me it was failed. Do you know why this happens? I only have problem with these files
I just got one from an auction along with several 35mm cameras. I want to throw the damn thing across the street and into the field. Bought a brand new disk and it still won't read the disk.

Have you tried the age old trick of a dry swab on the lens? Or some light compressed air on the assembly.

Yes you can use the same disk. Save the data on your pc then you will have an empty disk. So yes you can reuse the disk
