Ended up in an omen trainer. Running pulse and it is devastating (except for frigates) up close. Feels like a good tank that will be great with a destroyer friend who uses range.
I know echoes is very different but I have been a laser main on EVE online since 2010 and love them. They are the most underestimated weapon system especially in PvP.
Navy Apoc fleets (aka Golden Fleets) have fallen out of favor in EVE for ages now. They were an answer to HML fleets back in the day, but now days there are better options. I do hope Echoes brings back battleship fleet doctrines just for the nostalgia.

I loved using lasers in the original Eve Online as played ca. 15 years ago, one of the main benefits of using them was the fact they didn't use ammo with the heavy penalty of cap cost, I do hope they introduce ammo to echoes which would make lasers more interesting again.. I too would like a suckubus, those spikey ships just look mean.
Benzie, I'd like to see you do a video on what you think the fleet doctrines would be in Echos over the next 6-12 months as people start to get their hands on more powerful/expensive ships including battleships.
Is it just me or like would a just day to day interaction video playlist be good. Just to see what you do, or how you figure out certain things and interactions with your corporation. Just watching you play and idk might just be me.
@@wonder_platypus8337 yeah I think that would help people of a similar level see what they could do at that level. As well as it prepares others for it at smaller levels. Might just be cool to see how you manage corp/ alliance issues. But it is his UA-cam so.
Kind of miss the frequency crystal mechanic from eve-online. There was a certain advantage to going slower tracking beams, since it often allowed you to use higher frequency crystals at a sacrifice to optimal range, which would in turn increase thermal damage to be closer to 50%. On the flipside, lower frequency crystals could be used on the pulses at sacrifice to almost all thermal, but at vastly increased range. This was quite good for making lasers, beam or pulse, to expand their usefulness a crossed a wider variety of situations.
Ahoy captain! I put a TON of skill points into Small missile/torpedo...I'm lvl 5 advanced right now. My question is....what is my best role with such high level SMALL missiles/torps? Any role and ship advice would be amazing! Thank you!!!!!
Condor 2 with afterburner can speedtank everything zooming at 1500m/s. Torpedoes are also super cheap, you can buy Heth which are 2-nd best IN GAME for under 2mil each, and you only need 2. Im running such Condor 2 right now and Im approaching 150dps as my skills go up. If you get webified and cant kill that ship fast enough, jump away, back at 100km, and wait. Frigates use webifiers and are faster, eventually will separatr from the rest of the pack and you can just kill them safely before engaging bigger ships which CAN NOT AT ALL ever hit you. Skills required: small missiles, frig command and afterburner. Alll cheap and fast to skill up. Other than that, yeah, Corax and its variants. Garmur is the final goal, or tech 8 and 10 frigates which we all are months away from.
Which anomoly factions should we hunt with laser weapons? Who has the weakest defenses against the EM/thermal damage? I'm having trouble finding reliable info about that. Most of the charts/guides are EO based and some people claim it's not entirely the same stats for Echoes?

Cap'n, since amarr ships are more towards pvp and tanking, what recommendations do you have for fittings and ships for PVEs especially solo, just started playing btw so i have no idea what im doing.
Vexor drones are OP got one myself and I can deploy the at 44km and then get even more out. They will destroy the target and return 3.5mio missions are no problem did a base 7 yesterday and found a warp disruptor so this ship is a easy money generator
@@vampire7327 depends I use rockets most of the time just because I need the energy for shield booster on t7/8 enemy's but often go to close combat suck the energy out of foes and then u could use a wide range of weapons depending what u like to use...i think u try cannons next but can't really say whats best yet. In the end this ship is about the drones and the range u can pick out large groups with almost no danger if u do it right. Got 46km range for the drones I think 7km are to gain for me in the skill system makes 53km and if I would buy the myramdon battleship it would give 13km more making it in total almost 70km range.
Hay cap I was trying to craft my ship catalyst 2 but when I go to manufacture it keep saying I dont have the resources even tho I check and I have every thing needed to craft it and I have the mony fee to 250k I'm sitting at 570k so I have enough to make it
