He is not moving the world around him is🤣 at the track in Sonoma 3-4 miles away the earthquake equipment shows a 3.5-4.0 on the Richter scale. There’s videos of people filming a water bottle on the bleachers as a car takes off. Watch it and you will understand

The shot at 7:39 where you see the throttle open, then the engine jumps left, then the fireball from the exhaust was epic!

the smell is crazy too. accidentally walked behind a running one and got a whiff that seared my respiratory tract. it was brutal.
Rip eye balls and nose any time you get a good whiff of nitro.
NHRA is really an event everyone needs to experience at least once in their life time! It is as close of a feeling of being blown up as you can get without being blown up, if that makes sense lol 😂
Only people that have been to an NHRA even would understand that, and it totally makes sense. 😂😂😂

Man, since i discovered you with hoonigan you have been a great inspiration for me. I usually shoot rallys and hillclimb, but today i went to some track Racing and tried to pan the Cars.
The results don't come even near to your level, but i had a blast doing it
Top fuel exhaust sounds are things you must experience in real life before you die
The 3 things that get us every time is the sound, the smell of the nitro, and the speed! Those 3 things put together is what makes this sport absolutely insane.

It would be cool to see an episode or maybe a small bit in every episode where you talk about camera settings and positioning, photography techniques and methods, for various situations that you might be shooting in. What it takes to set up the perfect shot for certain lighting conditions and scenery, cars in motion vs still. Kinda like what you did with Donut Media recently but for DSLR cameras instead of phones.
too bad englishtown doesn't do this anymore...summer nationals were always a sick event and yes you can't focus even up in the stands...you can't even breath as they pass you.imagine what the drive is going through
You are actually my hero, You inspired me to start shooting a year ago and today I just spent my life savings on a 7D mkii and a 50mm 1.8 so I can get some shots of the locals & shows here (can’t afford a 70-200, 24-70 or 16-35 maybe one day)

Recently I made the mistake of shooting next to the track as the Promod passed me. I felt the earplugs move inside my ears from the sheer air vibrations that car made. It's insanely loud. Pure insanity in metal form.

I love how the videographer misses each of their 60 foots run cause he can’t hold still :) For those at home, what they didn’t say, these are TOP FUEL. Completely over the top compared to any other class. So rad!

Remember the 1st time I saw top fuel cars. I heard they're incredible loud. But hearing about it and seeing and most of all feeling it was just awesome and terrifying all at once. Then I saw the mechanics and track officials walking around with little to no ear protection in an enviroment that would make "The Rock" cry(because of the fumes).

Beautiful work! Nothing like high end drag racing. I was curious to know what your go to lenses are for a shoot like this. After a decades of shooting for fun at the track I finally have access to a Top Fuel team this year, with the type of access you had here. I am likely going to use a SIGMA 24-70MM F2.8 and a Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8. I think this should work fairly well. Found some inspiration in this, cheers.
I have had the best but dumbest idea for a sport, it is dangerous but is sounds amazing. Ok so its drifting but with these drag motors.
Would love to see the 1/60th second pans.
