Field Hunting Mallards and Geese- Canada Waterfowl Hunting

Field hunting mallards and Canada geese on the Canadian prairies in central Manitoba. Waterfowl hunting paradise in this region. The edge of the Canadian Bush where agriculture fields meet the boreal forest. A major migration of birds follows this edge, and many ducks are also hatched in this region of Canada.
We hunted with the guides from Birdtail Outfitters. Excellent waterfowl hunters who shared some valuable tips for field hunting ducks and geese. The guides use a homemade A frame style blind that is extremely comfortable to sit and shoot out of but also very concealed and effective. Many of these guides leaned towards smaller and very realistic decoy spreads of full body decoys.
Some great tips were shared on calling, decoy placement and how to use A Frames to kill ducks and geese. Tremendous operation with extremely talented guides in an under the radar location.
