Sometimes people need to understand that’s just the way it is. Change is inevitable. Instead of resisting it, you’re better served simply going with the flow.
Yeah but I also understand when you’ve put so much time into something and gained an understanding of that thing and you know it like the back of your hand and then it gets flipped on it’s head. So I understand. But when it comes to gaming and fighting games alike, I agree with you. Also it depends if you’re changing things just to change them with no real reason to why, that’s unnecessary. There needs to be a reason for the change.
@@cptnaizen 100% agree. I mean look at sequels dude. Or at least look at the bigger picture. Especially in fighting games. There's always something wrong according to...well basically anyone at some point. I too share my fair moments of "oh, that's not good, that's not good at all" or "yeah that sucks, but!" As long as the intend of making something work more fluently you're permanently changing things and that's where it gets too much at one point. But in the end it is what it is. You either listen to the calls or you don't. And I'm glad that Tekken usually listens. Tekken 8 locking future custom items behind a battle pass. The forced aggressive style would be okay if the defense matched it. It’s gameplay is fun but it’s getting deserved negative reviews because of the shop/battle pass after release.
Yeah that I agree with, the battle pass portion, but regarding everything else, I don't think it deserves that bad of a rap. I literally seen a video called the Downfall of Tekken and that's what inspired the video. I'm like it is not that bad. And a lot of negativity I see in UA-cam, they barely mention the battle pass. Obviously this is all my opinion.
@cptnaizen defense in tekken 8 is much worse then tekken 7. Rage Arts in T8 aren't launch punishable as the previous. Low parry damage was nerfed significantly, it goes straight into a bound as opposed to a complete combo. These changes and more incentivize a strong or overwhelming offense rather then a balance of the two(defense).
@@Retro_Banks Yeah the low parry does do no damage, that I have seen myself, but Tekken 8 is basically a 2 touch game, so more damage on the parry isn't really needed, but that's because of the direction of the game towards more offense and aggressiveness like you said. When it comes to the rage arts idk what you mean, because if you block the rage arts, it is launch punishable cause I do it all the time. But regarding everything else, I see what you're saying, it is a totally different game than 7 but if they were just going to make the same thing, why make a new one? You know. Both sides are valid.
I mean as you get better and better at the game I feel like rage arts isn't really a problem, cause when you know they have it, you end up playing around it. But all opinions are valid. A lot is subjective.
I see what you're saying, also my take is coming from this being my first Tekken game and 3D fighter as a whole. And I'm impressed. It's so visceral every hit. When you land a combo it feels like no other game. Nothing in the 2D fighting space even compares.

Its too cheesy now. Rage art shoild be available once per total fight not every round. No juggle shouod be able to take away more 33pct of energy

I’m a hardcore tekken player and can say that Tekken 8 does suck though. I enjoyed playing tekken 4 wayyyyy more than this garbage.
