As a Jamaican, I'm passionate about my athletes. However, I cannot help but admire Allyson Felix. She has virtually everything: charm, talent, natural beauty, discipline, determination, etc. Win or lose, she's always gracious. Track and field is poorer since her retirement. Yes but remember.. For the Rio Olympics Allyson was coming off an ankle injury.. It's the main reason why she missed qualifying for the 200m. She was lucky to even train. But she made it with a lot of pain.
Alyson Felix is excellent over 400,200 and 100 metre races. Her medal count at major championships are high. I wish all female sprinters would simply do train the 400 metre training which will get them better for the 200 and 100 metre sprints.
You spend a great part of your life training for a split moment in time, and just like that it is all over in a few minutes! But it is worth it! Best sport ever!
