    Well done video!
We are a creator-family as well and As a DIY father, this is absolutely inspiring to me! My daughter is 6 months old and it made me daydream of the bonding experiences as she grows!

Thanks for watching! We’re using Inkscape (inkscape.org) and it’s embroidery extension, Ink/Stitch (inkstitch.org ). Hope this helps, stay crafty!

If you use a white felt or any white backing on a patch. When you are done you can just run a black permanent marker around the outside edge to get rid of any white that might be showing. Outstanding job though on your first patch

How far apart do you make row spacing in the fill stitching

We usually leave it at the default setting in Ink/Stitch. Thanks for watching!

Is it common for it to rethread the upper thread over and over?

It will just depend on how many color changes are in your project.

You guys have helped so much with your Inkscape/inkstitch tutorials! I have watched this video many times but I’m having trouble understanding how you cut away the edge of the text box to get a single layer of stitching? Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you so much for watching! For our text, we actually hav it sewing on top of the other layer. Our machine can do about 3 layers and yield good results. If you wanted to move the text down to the first layer, you would just need to do a series of exclusions on each letter (to cut the hole in the first layer, then you could fill that space with the text. Hope this helps!

Which is better save as a pes file.or export as an embroidery

We typically save our projects as a zip file which includes saving as a .pes that is compatible with our Brother SE1900 and .svg. You will want to save in a file format that works best with your machine. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

Si ponen el título en español , hagan el video en español. No sirve la traducción porque las letras no dejan ver.

\To get a nicer looking small font - try slowing the speed of your machine when it is stitching out your font. You can also try a lighter weight thread and if you are still having problems then try a smaller needle a 70/10 or a 65/9
