@@ExocagedRC me 2, I just put in Mamba slate & micro esc & that pinion makes start up way to high. Still bad low end control. Need lower for sure.

I put a fusion in my gatekeeper kit version with a set of hirax tires and it is almost perfect
Yeah I have a fusion but it’s in the Traxxas 2021 bronco right now
Like I told "J " yesterday...That is a capable rig imo.
Its nice to see the weight biased towards the front. That's the mod I did with my ftx ravine.
I found in with the 1.55 general grabber tires I had to vent the tire and star cut the foam to get any type of compliance into then. I'm willing to bet something as tall as a Hyrax is all the Ecto will really need other than better electronics.

The program card for that ESC works very well. Not as many options as the 1080, but the most important adjustments are taken care of. Got mine hooked up to a Crawlmaster Magnum 11t motor. I also have a 1080 sitting around but haven't had a need for it yet. Lil'Nova 4.25 2stage fit the tires well.

I believe I'll get one though. Except I'll go with an fusion or something brushless. For tires I'll go with the 2 stage pro line foams with the krawlers. Probably end up with a 422hd reefs servo or a 35kg ebay deal. I'm also not sure about the sway bar. I've never used one on a crawler.
Yeah this Swaybar seems to work fine. Can take it off and see but usually the back gets too loose with a trailing arm suspension.

I've never liked the all terrain tires on the rocks.

The gatekeeper kit has trailing arms that have another shock position to move the shock back then I moved the front shock up makes it nice and low...maybe you can buy them
Nice Crawling with the Ecto seems to be a Good RTR for Trail Running 💯 I was thinking a higher turn motor being brushed about a 35 or more would help even with the drag brake ✌🤠👍👍😎👍🌟🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother Joe

You cld of made the crack of doom box stock or not if you had 2 hands controlling the radio. flooring it like you did over the crack o doom it'll never make it stock or modified 😂... Great Video can't wait to see your upgrades...

I think its a great looking truck with a lot of potential. As far as the electronics they are a little disappointing. The tx looks cheap. A crawler needs a tx with multiple channels. The motor and esc seems cheap too. Completely wrong for this truck and haven't we moved past brushed motors? We have better options out there especially for this price point. To me 15kg is kinda light for steering but thats just my opinion. Tires seem pretty good. Obviously it needs foams. Im not sure about the sway bar thing. I've never had one with a sway bar. I thought that was a fast car thing. Im usually pretty picky when it comes to bodies but I actually like this one. Overall looks like a fun truck but will definitely need some changes. Oh and it doesn't have portals lol. Oh well. Still looks very capable.
I got mine in the other day and as soon as I pulled it out of the box I could see it was sitting higher on one side. Looked closer and realized there was shock oil all over the frame rails. Took the shocks apart and only one was half full while the other three were almost empty. I hope the factory put all the bearings in. I guess I'll find out later.

@@vwagon5566 Yes, so the shocks are fine. Just had to go in and refill them to the proper levels and tighten the caps. No issues with them yet. To be honest I was expecting something to be off about the Ecto when it came in only because I've heard a lot of people who ordered RTR's from Element complain that their rigs were delivered with missing bearings. So I was kind of on High Alert already before hand.

the spur gear is 48p so try a 14/16 t 48p pinion
Capra trans and straight axles is what it seems like lol. Gearing must be super high. Especially for the drag brake to roll like that on a new motor. It should be a lot slower with more torque. Great rig though.
Yeah I haven’t taken the gear cover off yet.

That’s possible. I’ve already got the Trenchers on it for now.
Can't really use it for like a u4 rig. The rear links and trailing arms are to short. Its just going to bounce the rear around when you start going to fast. Even if you tune the shocks
I realize that not everybody wants to pay $499+ for a detailed scale truck like the Axial JLU, or the TRX4 '21 Bronco, but comparatively, this awkward body looks like it came out of the toy aisle at Wal-Mart, IMO. I'd definitely choose the Sendero HD over this offering if I had to choose an Element truck.

I run a 14. 13 was to small. I think it's an 42p 18 t stock
I ran the 14 in my Element with a 10T 5slot 550 and it was perfect

Would you say Ecto fills n fits the Sorrca class 2 rules? Ive yet to hear anyone telling me, do the inner faces of front tires, stay in same line with bodys doors, or do tires come "out" from that line.
RTR electronics are always a compromise...
Come to think of it... RTRs in general are a compromise.
Good for "first timers", but as soon as you push a little more than thr basic stuff...there's always something to be desired.
Aside from that, I think ECTO is a good base for an awesome machine.

I’m more interested in those general grabber X3’s for my trailrunner… are they worth the $25 a pair or should I just get trenchers? My terrain is mostly rock, mix of some slick rock if I go to the river then high grip stuff in the desert

The only IFS trucks like this I have is the Element TrailRunner with a Proline Gladiator body on it.

Yeah just a Gatekeeper with different body but in many ways I didn’t get the gatekeeper because of that body.
