Yours is the lowest monthly 'cost of Living fulltime in a Van' video I've seen so far; I've watched a few. The most expensive I've seen is nearly £1k per month for a solo van lifer.
Regarding the height barrier restriction, I have had the same issue. However, speaking to organisations and businesses, they have offered more than suitable alternatives and, in some cases, removed the barrier for us to gain access and exit. If anything, they are apologetic for the inconvenience and offered free parking. I have never been told a flat rate no.
That’s a good video shows what an amazing life seeing beautiful UK countryside. Just shows what we all miss by living in a house with all the outgoings. Stay safe and enjoy your travels xx
So true, we did say when we woke up surrounded by the cows, we wouldn't have witnessed something like this if we still lived in bricks .. Being woken up by nature is way better than the sound of an alarm any day 😊... xx
💜Travel slow, the key to sustaining on a low budget. Your food budget for two, is very good. Amazing monthly budget, so many things you can do for free. It may be a tie too far for you, but if you have a home area that you like to return to then an allotment can offer an amazing additional perspective to living life on the road, providing a base for daytime living, growing food, friendly community, to store a few bulky items in the shed, top up your water tank and compost your shite. Some allotment rents are as low as £50/year or even less, very rarely as much as £100/year.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Yes we need some extra bits to make our videos more enjoyable for our subs, so thought we would start investing with the kind generosity of those that support our channel...☮️😊☯️
Again guys nailed it with the video, enjoying the music to 👍🏻👍🏻all the cattle the park ups and that amazing sunset 🌅 definitely the best life .. love to patch ❤😎
I'm loving the attitude of you two, I've just subscribed to your channel, when you say say you travel little and often. Not giving too much away you could print out a rout for other people to follow, not exactly but you know what I mean. Sell it it as an app or download so people like me that is going to do the van life next year can follow it as a start then branch of and maybe contribute to you maps. Then build up a vanlife community that cross paths . What a life can't wait. Thank you for your inspirational video s. See you out there next year. 🎉
Wow, thanks for the sub.. Although that sounds like a good idea, if we did that next time we went to that spot it would be overcrowded and then we have the potential of losing another yet spot. It's good to share spots but we think it's better done privately.. There's a lovely community out there and you will experience that once you are out on the road..☮️😊☯️
Best full time van life budget van I have watched, and I have seen a few. Maybe one for annual van costs would be of interest. Have you done one on the cost of buying and fitting out your van? Just love the simplicity of your set up and the way you roll.
Great suggestion!.. We will definitely be doing an annual one at some point.. Yes there is a video of our van budget , I will see if I can put the link here for you..
Fabulous video Both. Beautiful places to explore there. Loved the cost bit. Spot on. Mine is mostly fuel cuz of places we go to for shows, or van bits for Mandee, but we then turn that into a little adventure for 3 or 4 days. Keep Loving the Lifestyle Both. Love and Big Hugs ❤❤
Thank you for this lovely's Im in Ireland so i know it would be a lot more insurance and tax on a van if private and not a camper on the book is the biggest expense here I find. Ive a transit conversion about 70% Hopefully be done by next year 🤞 Loving your videos two beautiful souls 💜
Get up and give the solar panels a wash, they're filthy 😂 Not so bad this time of the year, I gained an extra 20% cleaning mine in the winter! I'm a slow traveller too £20 a week on diesel does me, it's about the journey not a race to any destination 🎉
Yes your costs are much the same as mine, apart from Internet which you need for you tube and your online shop. I just pay £15 a month for phone and internet. Yes keeping travelling down saves a lot on the fuel bill, i guess it just depends where you like to go 😊 Yes height barriers are getting everywhere which is a shame but still plenty of free places at the moment. Plenty of free foods around now, berries, fruits, mushrooms and fungi. Just be careful to pick what you know are okay to eat, dont risk if you are not sure. Nice places you visit peaceful and not full of other visitors. Great Nice informative video. Take care 😊😇🥰
hi thats more like real living costs, the best things in life are free and your definitely embracing it, the freedom to explore at a gentle pace, keeps you chilled ,and a well thought out van to gain the free power ,can i ask how much solar you have and deos it ever cause probs ie winter ,to me it looks a better life than living in a house, and funding the pile of bricks ,as every week is a constant change and you have everything in a small space the freedom to take life at a gentle pace and soak it in ,your real wealth may not be cash, but its so much more and a lesson to us all ,looks a great life tbh enjoy your lifestyle is definitely one to think about thanks for sharing cheers sam
Hi...I'm an ex army truck driver....I drive away all week in a work glorified camper truck and get paid for it £26 a night away ....see the country whilst at work free everything....now I'm going to do the van up for my weekends at home and pay nothing again 💯 hope your both well! Keep up the great work and be free ❤️💯💪
I lived on a boat for 2 years on the Norfolk broads all I had to pay was river tax 220 a year I used to use the free 24 hours mooring and just move my boat back and forth from loved every minute of it freedom is key to happiness
With Ordanance Survey being commissioned by the Government to identify, and log every lamp post in the United Kingdom, l can see things getting freaky in the towns and cities nationwide especially if they pull the trigger on this pay per mile travel tariff, also there may also be a motion to discuss in parliament means testing the state pension too. People sat at home may well begin to wonder, why bother?

When I was working I used 2 tanks of diesel a week. We now use 1 tank of diesel in about 6 weeks because we do not go far. We allow 4 more for longer trips. Folk who talk about our style of travel are talking out of there backsides. We come out a little more spend than you but not by far. Never hook up Desmond we have nothing inside that can use mains. Not worked for 10yrs (health) but also get nothing of the government. I think the problem this country has is folk see somebody enjoying life and they feel they have to spoil it while they sit at home paying off the loans and debts they have run up.
Three times the cost, I reckon. Mark will be sure to see this. Fuel and food seem to be his bigger expenses, in fact his fuel cost is more than the full monthly budget of these guys. Mark seems to like the feeling of moving on after a night or two, and some distance.
@@100NoddyWhat!!!! Thats crazy, there's 2 of us and a dog.. I thought he stayed in his local area, and worked locally. We didn't even spend that when we were travelling around Scotland.. Must go and watch that video.. 😮

The one thing we miss is a garden to grow our own food. This year we did have a tomato plant , we got a yield of 4 tomatoes 😂
