Ingredients
Sabudana or Sago - 3/4 cup
Milk - 1 liter
Cardamom powder
Jaggery - 200 gm
Water - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts
Raisins
Method
Rinse the sabudana a couple of times and soak it for 1 hour
Pour milk into a deep pot and let it boil.
Add the soaked sabudana to the milk and boil it till the sabudana pearls turn transparent and soft
Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Boil the kheer for 10 mins
Turn off the stove and let it cool down
Melt jaggery by adding a little water in a pot.
Strain the jaggery syrup into the kheer and mix well
Roast some cashew nuts and raisins in ghee
Add roasted cashew nuts and raisins.
Garnish it with a few strands of saffron.
You can serve the kheer warm or cold

Hi I literally follow ur recipe it's fun n tasty to . I wanted to ask u y we shouldn't boil again the kheer wen we put jaggery? N wat if I heat it if the jaggery is too cold or if I want to surf it hot later ?
pohalmegha after adding jaggery of you heat it the milk can curdle so it’s best to turn off and then mix in the melted Jaggery.

Yes, u can add sugar instead of jaggery .
Yes.. But do not add sugar more than the milk as the sugar will curdle the milk by reacting with the milk solids.. So add less sugar than milk.. Give it a stir and take it away.. Do not boil much longer as well as it will also react with milk solids.. . That is y as soon as u add the sugar the milk will loosen up a bit..
