I grew up in Makawao and always my family would go down to Pe’ahi to visit my grandma on sundays. Even though we not Portuguese, Mrs. Isabel reminds me a lot of my grandma, I remembered a lot of fond memories while watching this video.

Oh my goodness this reminded me of my Grandmother and her daughters making bread back in the days in Kauai . This women was a strong lady to do all that pounding

Wow this is awesome my Grandmother and all her Daughter’s made bread back when I was little but never learn my self now I’m 68 I am looking for their Portuguese sweet bread recipe that family don’t want to share sad (Kauai )
