Why would Giselle’s father give her colorism lessons? Many of the civil rights activists unfortunately were perpetuators of colorism and chasing whiteness unfortunately. RHOP is triggering as a DSBW to say the least and I’m proud of you Kim for speaking up in this topic.
The civil rights movement was actually about black males fighting to have the right to marry white females so it’s really not surprising those “activists” are colorist
Don’t forget that’s why we got Rosa parks. It was colorism and the male civil rights leaders pushing that Claudette wasn’t good enough because of her look (her words) and Rosa parks would be more acceptable to wp (they really meant bp).
The irony with all the colorism on RHOP is that the women who would be deemed the most desirable have the most tumultuous and unstable relationships/marriages.
It makes perfect sense. Their personalities and value have been tied up in their desirability so their relationships didn’t have substance outside of that.
Yes but it’s also the type of men they attract…you do know Giselle ex-husband Jamal Bryant the pastor? No woman would have any success with this narcissist lying cheat yet Giselle believed in her pretty privilege which lead her to believe otherherwise she could somehow tame this man
I genuinely believe their toxic relationships is their payback on being shitty colourists. I don't ever feel sorry for a woman who puts down other women when she gets shitted on.
Giselle father is a light skin creole man from Louisiana, who married an even lighter skinned creole woman. Their entire identity and upbringing is the epitome of colorism.
Thank you for this comment! I was thinking this when Kimberly mentioned her father. You have to be rooted in Louisiana (and Mississippi) culture or know the history to understand the colorist culture inherent in the traditions beginning in the founding of the state by the French. Surprised Gizelle married and had children with Jamal since he looks darker skinned. I know television makes Black people appear a couple shades darker than in person.
@@preciousaryee2901 No those bright tv lights will make you look lighter at times it anything. Contents creators with their ring lights all look way lighter on screen imagine high level pro lights.
@Mariah203 I thought about his status also. Don't know much about him but a preacher seems on the lower end of the totem pole and he's darker. I know he's big on the East Coast and in Atlanta but hadn't heard of him prior to this show. It wasn't like he was T.D. Jakes or Creflo Dollar. Was just shocked when I first started watching (no longer watching) the show.
@Verde Lane I understand. Whenever I see celebs in person, they appear lighter, shorter, and definitely skinnier. Now TV does put a few extra lbs on you. That I know for sure. Anyways, couldn't believe he was her ex-husband and children's father. Can you imagine her as a 1st lady??? I sure as hell can't based on what she portrays on that show.
Getting a man is not an accomplishment but getting the man you WANT…as a life partner, husband, father of your children is an accomplishment, who you partner with as a WOMAN or MAN, who you procreate with is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make in your life.
what you describe is a decision (your word) - a very important one! (as you said) - it’s a lifestyle choice and maybe a blessing but NOT an accomplishment. there’s a difference.
“I mean of course their husbands want us, we’re light skinned!” Said all the light skinned women on Potomac. And that’s what they really think..they’ve automatically got one on the darker women. It’s so nasty. It’s like watching white people act like racism doesn’t exist. And I understand it’s not right to speak on peoples looks, but Deborah, get real. 👎🏾 I can’t even watch Potomac anymore, it’s stressful and not fun. The gaslighting is too much. I’m disgusted by Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley. And the irony of these women thinking they are better than the dark skinned women, meanwhile, lusting for their lives and husbands like theirs. It’s a joke.
This is sooo on point... I dont talk about looks but sesame street is not all that just cause she is lightskinned bull... Lightskinned is not always pretty... And Candice said Gizelle is beautiful but she is a shell with a bunch of nastiness inside facts...
Who has been filling Gizelle’s head that she’s beautiful? Sounds like dark skin BW promote lightless and cry when those women tell them they are better. I can’t take BW and their self hate and vicariously living through light skin women seriously.
“Men have been socialized to believe that women are just tools for their self-actualization.” Hoooooo Lordy do I gotta sit down and process that sentence in the context of my trauma from men.
Crying over men is senseless, espeacially when you are in your 20's. Men are sociopaths for real. Some of them actually enjoy your pain. The more you cry and chase them, the more they want to hurt you, it feeds their ego somehow... sick! I say move on, the quicker the better.
Brittany is a classic tale of the 30 + women. They always get desperate and switch up. I can’t tell you how many 40+ women I know who get pregnant by extremely unavailable men who don’t even care abt them and the child just to have a baby. We women needs to stop doing these things to ourselves. Brittany wants a “husband” now. She’s a single mother and I’m guessing finding how hard that is. It’s very cliche but we see it all the time. More often than not.
Why do people listen to Brittany Renner? I’m so confused. She’s famous for what? And when women like J-Lo and Halle Berry, who obviously stay in the gym, have been cheated on and discarded, did staying in the gym really serve them well in the romance department? And who stands around waiting to be “picked” nowadays? Just some silliness that Brittany’s pedaling, a throwback to a time I thought we were getting away from. But go off, Brittany. Guess that truly great man you’re with right now is proof? I mean she stays in the gym. Where is he?!!
As someone who is really into lifting and goes to the gym 5/6 times a week, having a fit body got me fetishized and sexualized before being romantically wanted. It really doesn’t help as much as the community keeps pushing when it comes to dating. I know people that have never been in the gym or look “fit” that have happy marriages. It’s just another thing people are adding to their “pick me” list
No one is listening to B Ren. It is these commentators giving her light. I didn’t even know who she was before yesterday while watching Lovely T and then again today. No hate, but I only pay attention to whom I would follow the footsteps of and even then, I move with caution and stay true to me and my spiritual guides. Did you know of B Ren before? Maybe it is just me.
Kevin Samuels made her famous and shuffled her off to Deion Sanders who had her give some kind of crazy speech to a group of black high school guys. My husband and l laughed for days because Sanders damn sure wouldn’t have brought her anywhere else to give a boys talk! Rennes is also biracial with a white mother!
I knew there'd be a handful that disagree with the Girl's Trip section. It's about common courtesy. Regardless of gender or sexuality, inviting someone without the knowledge AND consent of the other guests is rude and immature. That friend becoming violent does not make the other's actions any less disrespectful. Two people can be wrong at the same time. Your romantic partner is YOUR romantic partner, not mine. There are things I'm comfortable speaking about and ways I'm comfortable being around my friends, but your partner is NOT my friend. And let's keep it a buck, ladies, don't pretend as if you don't expect your girls to censor certain behaviors and discussions when your man is around. Stay home if you don't have the ability to respect the plans that were made.
I agree, I feel like I have to not just censor myself, but to coverup more when a friend's significant other is around. It's honestly annoying when the original plan was for a girls' outing/trip.
I also thought her man brought other people with him. that would rile me and the recording to try to paint a different scenario. there's an assumption because one is cool with each other that that automatically extends to each friend's own circle of friends.
@@meditationmindbodysoulmusi1195 Did I condone the violence? No. So who are you saying 'bye' to? Her upset doesn't become illegitimate because she got physical. And the friend's disrespect doesn't dissipate because she got physical either. Can you only comprehend in the binary? Can a situation only be 'this' or 'that'?
That girls trip video was very disturbing. She was def wrong for inviting her man to the trip without at least asking if it was okay and the other woman was definitely being too hostile and aggressive she could have expressed her feelings without getting violent.
I am getting out of a marriage that I depend on my partner for financially. I am so glad I am making my own money. There is nothing better than financial independence.
I had the opportunity to attend events with some affluent Blacks and I was appalled by the colorism and pretty privilege (white supremacy filtered through us). I thought that these intelligent people would not allow these ignorant tropes to stagnate them. I was most troubled that the next generation of black daughters born into wealth would be learning this.
Which confirms that Blacks aren't as intelligent that they portray themselves to be because actions speak louder than words. If Blacks were truly woke... it'd be reflected in our actions, lifestyles, communities, the new generation, our words, politics etc.
Yoooo I was apart of a Black debutante organization in high school and they let a mestiza Mexican girl in my class and the way these HBCU educated elders were FAWNING over that girl and the ways she looked was so shocking to me. Like this is supposed to be the center of Black beauty leading young women into Black succes but at the end of the day they just wanted white adjacency because that’s what that elitism is at it’s root.
@@arianna5270 …high school? Was it some school sponsored event? Or perhaps a sorority linked one? Debutante balls have a specific purpose and therefore are mostly generational and have nothing to do with outside institutions and organizations. They are privately funded and by invitation only. More importantly, they are family-oriented.
@@MayMay-el4wg What about what I said was confusing? 👀 I came out my senior year of high school, hence the “in high school” portion of my statement. It wasn’t a school sponsored event it was held by the local Black Debutante organization and what does any of this have to do with the internalized anti Blackness I was discussing? 👀🤔
As a queer woman I would also say that my girl is not invited to a trip that is supposed to be devoted to me and my homegirls. I don’t even think it has to be such a gendered dynamic. Respect your friends and the plans you’ve made.
I love this. These conversations often overlook the perspective of queer couples. I think people just assume that queer relationships don’t have the same type of conflict.
@@TheSomethingnew1 I think Kim prefers not to talk for or over the rainbow collective that's why she stays in her hetro lane when it comes to the romantic relationship conversations.
Agreed. Romantic partners absolutely change the dynamics, the comfort levels of everyone else. If you can't be without bae for a weekend then just stay home.
@@Tobi_Eros that’s fine and absolutely understandable. However I wasn’t limiting this to her. Whenever topics like this occur on social media, it turns into a gender war or gender bashing. It’s just always refreshing to read other perspectives because I’m not queer lol.
I'd feel safe if she was around though, I'd be disappointed at best. The conversation is gendered because gendered based violence always has to be factored into shit like this.
I love how you discussed this at 16:31 explaining "delusional colorism". Perfect term and it definitely fits someone like Gizelle and the light skin crew. I must say the attitude there is these dark skin women on Rhop have husbands but they desire US light skin women. I actually had a light skinned friend like this and I had to cut ties with her. She constantly tried to block or make convo with guys that were obviously interested in me. She was competing with me and thought her light skin meant the guys wanted her more. Not the case and they can't handle it either.
"making your own money is undefeated" first of all FELT - men do not care about women - to be at the mercy of someone else - a MAN no less - is a clear risk, and one that "mOdeRn" women have the luxury of avoiding!
Fr. I don't understand why it even has to be a debate. In a system that's engineered and not naturally occurring in the first place; how you gonna tell me that I'm supposed to depend on a man? And before someone comes in here with their perfect man story telling me to "choose better", it ain't about finding a good man. It's about my autonomy as a human. My right and desire to find my own path and then MAYBE find someone to share with romantically. I just do not have time to make some fantasy construct, conjured up by people that have long been dead, the center of my existence. It doesn't matter if I don't make a lot of money. It matters that it's mine and it gives me freedom and options.
Speaking of black activist families who having stupid descendants, their queen is named Porsha Williams of RHOA, who thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train with actual stops…
That statement/question from her set us back 🤦🏽♀️. Porsha seems cool to hang out with, but is a pretty idiot. I was SO hoping that statement/question was scripted.🤦🏽♀️
@@marie2511 I don’t know what that I thought. I just know the other cast members aren’t geniuses either, but there just got quiet, mouths open and looked at her like, “girl… What!?”
Well I don’t know…I don’t really follow these HW franchises (especially bc of the colorism) but is Porsha just a product of our missed up education system like many? I am a mother of a child in public school and even though I am a product of private school and a public school education-these history lessons are a mess! I didn’t think the UG was a train with stops but I didn’t fully understand the significance, networks and how it fully operated until I did my own extensive research in the pandemic-like I am sure many did because all we had was time! The interesting think is why Critical Race Theory is not a conversation we are having while others are. History is getting worse and whyte washing is getting more intense-trust me I live in a Republican state that is constantly romanticizing these slave masters. And the argument is always-well you need to teach them at home! But I feel this is a shaming tactic because your tax dollars should mean something! That is why these Republicans are fighting so hard to make sure there children feel good because they feel if I am paying for it by way of taxes you teach what I say you teach. Not oh I will just teach them at home. And while we are at it colorism should be taught in school! Here is a helpful tool I wanted to share. There is a lot of psychological damage that needs to be addressed to heal! heritagemom.com/2020/09/03/teaching-colorism-the-power-of-a-story-part-2/
RHOP was built on colorism. You had to squint to determine the races of the women during the Season 1 lineup. This was absolutely deliberate. People don’t voluntarily abdicate their privileges. Robin and Giselle are attractive women but they are no more physically beautiful than Wendy or Candiace… and Wendy and Candice are FAR MORE INTERESTING and TALENTED. So, yeah, violent and unwarranted attacks ensue.
Very good points. Also... it seems to gone under the radar how Monique's complexion was drastically different in seasons 3-5 compared to season 2 and then the season 5 reunion.
The first time I saw the Potomac women in a photo I was like Oh! They got a white lady on this one. Thinking Robyn was a white lady this whole time lol
@Séverine Rosalia M. I'm white and trans (which is why I will never support Candiace and her transphobia regardless of looks) and to me Candiace and Wendy are the best looking along with Monique yes. Gizelle as well I do find beautiful but Robyn is plain to me and Ashley...no comment
I think Brittany saw how much money/attention she could get pivoting to whatever current version on herself she portrays herself to be. Plain and simple.
I didn’t know how to say it but THIS. It feels too convenient. I Feel like alot of the sex positive/liberation conversations are backfiring and and people are no longer subscribing to the message. she needed a new gig
Yikes. My best friend did this for years before she got married. I love her husband but he is super awkward and almost childlike. It’s really hard to gauge if he’s enjoying himself or not. She’d always bring him to one on one plans which I’d argue is even worst than a group thing. Again, I love him, but it almost makes the situation go from no holds bar fun to something like a work event. It’s like I gotta code switch for your man now too? Booooo I have a few other friends that would bring their wet blanket ads husbands to shit so I just stopped inviting them. 😂
That video of the man who said he didn't care about his gf while she was crying was traumatic and I've never even had a boyfriend before... but that's scary jfc
So the girls trip thing....I literally don't understand why some women can't be without their (man friends) long enough to go on a trip. I think it's annoying and weird and I wouldn't go on another trip with them.
Straight up! I once asked a friend to buy her dinner at a pretty fancy restaurant for her birthday. I was paying for her bc it was her birthday. She shows up with her friend; telling me “she invited herself.” Her friend had no money, so guess who payed for everyones meal? I was so heated 😤 why do ppl do this?! I have NEVER invited this friend to a dinner again AND she is no longer friends with that particular friend. SMH 🤦🏾♀️
You paid? You are very nice. I'd have told the friend to turn around because my budget did not cover her. They could both turn around lol. The audacity.
The tragedy is a lot of "light skinned" black women hate the privilege or better than narrator but everyone knows that its real. I believe these women don't have the lives of the darker women and are extremely jealous. So we are just seeing ingrained self hate perpetuated by them through colorism. And in all honesty, none of them look better than Wendy or Candiace. They definitely don't act better.
From my experiences, its more light skinned women that don’t acknowledge the privilege and choose to see it as their uniqueness instead of colorism. It is a jealousy. the environment has created a system of competition for these women with no system of value, confidence, or esteem building. Its sad but (as a light skin woman) we need to be accountable and understanding to the real deep seeded issues that brought us here.
I’m sorry maybe the other LS women but Giselle is a 10…she’s Vanessa Williams beautiful. Yes Candace and Wendy are beautiful likewise Robyn and Karen, but of all these women Giselle is in her own league.
The Forties Goodness is SO REAL AND REFRESHING. I'm about to be 41 and it's only going to get better! Can't wait! My mom had me at 39, so I was raised by a women in her 40s and 50s. I didn't have to see or live in her messier years, haha! The grace and self-awareness and self-possession she embodied... it was gorgeous.
I am confused about why women keep calling her ugly like men don’t cheat with ugly women. My issue with her is her lying not her looks and we as women who don’t want to be judged based on how we look shouldn’t continue to use “she ugly” as an argument on why Chris couldn’t have done it versus the bigger discussion of what people will do for a bit of fame and money.Deborah is willing to ruin a marriage just to be on RHOP and that is sick and speaks to clout culture
Her looks are part of the conversation because she's made them part of the conversation. Chris wasn't even talking to her at first. Didn't even know that lady existed yet she concocted this lie around her desirability and how these men were flirting with her and acting like they were single around her. That's why her looks are now being talked about. She's delusional.
@@brieoliver Precisely! And I don’t care about people addressing her looks because she is completely lying on someone that could potentially hurt them in real life. So go after whatever, it’s all fair game at that point.
@@brieoliver the issue is the lie not whether she was desirable enough for it to have happened or not. People are conflating the two. She is lying so she can be part of the show not because she thinks she is soo hot that all the husbands want her. That’s the narrative people are spinning cause they want to call her ugly and delusion.
@@PinkCloudsClown I dont see, how that excuses anybody (cast and/or producers) to use it as a plot point everywhere. Audiences deserve more creative stories.

The girls' trip thing is ridiculous. The hint is in the title of the trip lol. GIRLS' trip. I had a similar experience happen after returning from a trip. The driver decided to make a detour from the airport to her man's house; as if the rest of us weren't also missing our significant others. If i had known we were making a detour, I would've gotten in cab. It's just selfish and inconsiderate to disregard your tripmates' feelings and understanding of the situation.
“If you were the one, I would have cared/loved/respected you” is…too common a story. It happened to me and still took me a month to register the cruelty and leave. So glad I did. Like you said “you get better when you know yourself better”. Thank you for another great video
Colourism is something that I as a white pale as a ghost person will never fully grasp but all I know is that growing up most Supermodels I looked up to were not only Black women but dark skinned Black women at that. I'm trans and obsessed with make up/fashion and Black women/femmes made this world so much easier to navigate not to mention more fun, interesting and intelligent. For ALL of us and I will forever be grateful for the Black supermodels, designers, fashionistas, beauty gurus etc
HWOM showed me how a man can meet you young (I am 22), shape and mold you into the perfect mysogynists dream to keep you delusional (albeit pretty) and then leave you financially, emotionally and literally LOST
I just looked up Houswives if Miami and I read in one of the episodes in season 2 she said " He built the perfect wife and I built the perfect life." 😒
@40:00 the irony with this behaviour, that is so common, is that a lot of these same men will point out how women don't allow men to be vulnerable or how they disregard men's feelings... It's like they have collective amnesia to how often they do this to women yet want women to extend that grace to them... its frustrating Reminds once when I saw this MRA dude talking about a study that showed teen girls where shown more empathy than teen boys as some proof that women are more cared for... what he left out that the teen girls in the study showedempathy to everyone... more empathy than teen boys showed other teen boys - he omitted the fact that the girls where more but complaind that the boys werent recieving the same (empathy) as the girls.
The capitalist “girl power” era had issues but I’m grateful the spice girls taught me that it was best (and more fun!) to be able to finance my life myself

Not only do we need to vet who we go on trips with, we need to be open to conversation, before hand. We don't know the back story at all, but there is a clear lack of understanding here and if those conversations are not had, this is how we get here. I've been on a many a trip and when issues arise or people feel some type of way, it is because there is a lack of understanding/mismatched expectations that were not communicated. Additionally, we also do not need to record and air out all of our shit. If yall are friends, hear each other out. This situation is no one elses business. So, clearly, the person on the camera, doesn't value her friend either, the way she herself is hoping/expected to be valued. No one is a friend here. Plain and simple. And, set expectations before yall go on these trips.Too much money is being passed for yall not to be on the same page.
To add to the girls trip convo, sometimes you can get along really well with someone and then realize while traveling or cohabitating that you're not compatible in that way. I've definitely experienced this before. Not in a that person tried to fight me kind of scenario, but there was conflict that I did not anticipate for sure. It happens 🤷🏾♀️. I now feel very fortunate seeing from the internet just how left those kinds of things can go.
I completely agree. I've been on a few different trips with a friend and it wasn't until the last trip that I realize she's not a friend I truly enjoy on vacation. I always came back from the trip slightly annoyed due to unnecessary confrontation at some point on the trip.
@@ChrissyPoo516 you really don't know until you have the experience sometimes. I understand NOW that I should look for travel compatibility in a person I go on trips with, but before I learned that I'd just be like "this is my friend, why wouldn't I go on vacay with her?".
Very true. Different situations reveal different facets of people, and of yourself. For girl's trips, if someone wants to bring their man, I simply won't go. Idc what people think of that, I know me and what kind of fun I want to have. My circle of girlfriends is now very small and outings are always fun and comfortable. You gotta find your people.

Sadly a lot of the Civil Rights Movement is based in colorism as well. Rosa Parks wasn’t the first person to refuse to give up her seat on the bus. Claudette Colvin actually was but since she was a darkskinned, young teen. She also became pregnant later and it they felt she wouldn’t be a marketable for the Civil Rights movement. So I can definitely see how she doesn’t have that humility and tact about colorism because it was within the very movement her father represented.
I agree on traveling with people. Like we need to discuss it all. Expectations, people's budgets, what is and isn't allowed where staying, hell even alone time like on this day I'm doing xyz. I am not going to waste my resources to end up upset. I can stay home.
In the clip the one yelling says he basically came with 3 friends who I’m sure they didn’t know but was in their space. Even if the girl friends knew her boyfriend friends it doesn’t mean it was okay for them to be in the space only God knows if any of them weren’t respectful. It’s clear the friends didn’t ask for company. So not only did her boyfriend come by house, he came with guests😤
Deborah had me ROLLING with her delusions lol. Ma'am...these men were not looking at you with desire. I dont want to talk about her looks. But its giving meerkat lol. Exoticism has some folks sooooo delusional. Being able to flip your hair back and forth is not giving you any points in 2023 lol
The manosphere grift is paying everyone but the actual manosphere they are still on the struggle parade. Britney Renner realized this is her way to redemption or at least more coins, and I actually wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes the next voice.
Exactly and I think she realized that she need to start making money on manosphere stuff so she can transition to trad-wife content. The video in Kim’s video told the tell….she needs a rich husband….she is traditionally attractive, so I see that happening actually and she also need some financial security for herself just in case the situationship marriage doesn’t work out…..hey! why not k!ll two birds with one stone? 🤷🏾♀️

I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed that I didn’t do anything “great” to be on the 30 under 30 list, but I am also proud to say that when I saw young people especially women of color on that list (black) it made me smile and I was inspired. Why would Giselle’s father give her colorism lessons? Many of the civil rights activists unfortunately were perpetuators of colorism and chasing whiteness unfortunately. RHOP is triggering as a DSBW to say the least and I’m proud of you Kim for speaking up in this topic.
The civil rights movement was actually about black males fighting to have the right to marry white females so it’s really not surprising those “activists” are colorist
come on in with this word. lets be for real.
Really? I’ve never heard of this
Don’t forget that’s why we got Rosa parks. It was colorism and the male civil rights leaders pushing that Claudette wasn’t good enough because of her look (her words) and Rosa parks would be more acceptable to wp (they really meant bp).
Yup forefathers of colorism lol
The irony with all the colorism on RHOP is that the women who would be deemed the most desirable have the most tumultuous and unstable relationships/marriages.
It makes perfect sense. Their personalities and value have been tied up in their desirability so their relationships didn’t have substance outside of that.
@@arianna5270 Well said. Just a Trophy basically

Why do people listen to Brittany Renner? I’m so confused. She’s famous for what? Exactly. Add Derrick Whatever and that host of the morning show. Some men are only loyal to themselves: being picked =/= being loved and cherished.
As someone who is really into lifting and goes to the gym 5/6 times a week, having a fit body got me fetishized and sexualized before being romantically wanted.
Well said! My thoughts exactly!
Ok but to physically attack your friend over it? Girl bye

Because white standards still have a lot of Black people in a chokehold. Still reaching for white greatness or adjacency.

Re girls' trip: Listen to the angry woman. It was hard to hear but I did hear her say that the man was weird and no one liked him. I think there might have been some fear under that anger.
I have ADHD but I write things longhand to remember and it works! And I am an auntie (older than 33).
I need to start doing that. I got diagnosed at 29, still trying to find the best routine. I'll be 33 this year.
I wish yall would stop calling yourselves aunties in ur 30s lmao Ur not an "auntie" until u hit 50 or unless ur ass an actual auntie ...stop letting social media terminology make yall older then you actually are!!!
@@aircabrown4070 I am 57. genuine auntie! And I agree- don't call urself auntie unless over 50!🤣
@@crystalpowell8619 for 57 you look tf Goodt!!! 🥰
@@aircabrown4070 ...you say that like a 57 yr old should be all wrinkly and dying and it's amazing she's still standing and looking good😂...57 is actually not old at all...she's just a good-looking woman...period!
"Making your own money is unmatched" I said aloud I know that's right lol
I hand wrote both of my bar exams. I felt that handwriting would better help me organize my thoughts under time pressure. Passed both times.
That part! 😑
RIGHT 🤣 Like flip your hair all you want girl, but it's not giving what you think it's giving like 🙃.
Meerkat 😂😂😂😂
Right. She literally made that up. It was so delusional. Candiace's husband was waiting for his drink at the bar paying her no mind
@@yougotgamesonyourphone6947 🤣 meerkat is accurate though
The meerkats association would like to distance themselves from that Sesame Street character.
I lost it at “I mean I’ve driven past a house or two” 😂😂😂
The manosphere grift is paying everyone but the actual manosphere they are still on the struggle parade.
Thanks for pointing out that bringing a kid is not the same as bringing a grown ass man. I’d still be annoyed of an unexpected kid at brunch, but you are legally responsible for keeping it alive so it’s more understandable then bringing your man cause god forbid you can’t see him for 2 hours.
I have friends who have frozen eggs to give themselves the option in the future, but ended up giving them to infertile family members years later
I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed that I didn’t do anything “great” to be on the 30 under 30 list, but I am also proud to say that when I saw young people especially women of color on that list (black) it made me smile and I was inspired. All of us aren’t going to be recognized but that doesn’t dim our lights any. Just like we shouldn’t dim the lights of those who are working their butts off and being recognized for it as they should be. 🙏🏽♥️
The girls trip part: Tbh going from low class to upper middle class. People from my community be having relationships based on nothing. proximity, access to resources, boys etc. Thats why they go on trips and shitz be happening. There's a reason why Harriet left some people.
girls trip gone wrong.. that was terrifying. literal nightmare.
From what I’ve observed it’s best to go on trips with one person
Hey Kimberly! Would love a “Are Y’all Okay?” mug🤗
Great for zoom meetings ;)
Honestly I had that experience where I was crying this man was just like why you crying and I don’t feel sorry and won’t comfort you. That probably the most traumatic thing in the world
The way I have been waiting for a nuanced discussion to be had regarding this show and it’s obvious colorism issue. Thank you Kimberly 🙏🏾
Cardi B is constantly embarrassing herself and I hate that for all of us.
“Colorist delusions” has me weak 😂😭
The fact that Brittany calls this “a game” still and not to actually change to be a better human being… is the give away 😅
I already said she’ll be smoking again before the plane lands
Yes, getting a man or being in a relationship is not an accomplishment. Any and every one can “have a man”, be married, engaged, etc🙃🙃🙃
No they can’t. If they could we wouldn’t have so many broken homes and baby mam culture wouldn’t be rampant in our society
@@MesheherKim nothing she said was a lie. Getting a man is easy because men are easy. Finding a quality men is the real challenge because there are about 16 walking around.
Getting a man is easy to fawk u but being able to keep one and him seeing u romantically is the battle most women can't seem to win
The black experience is so layered. These are the black issues that really deserve our attention. These are the issues we have within our communities. I am a dark skin, overweight, black woman who has worn glasses since the age of 3. Thick glasses too 😆 Self-worth, ooooo child! It took👏🏾some👏🏾time, okay. But as a member of this beautifully rich diaspora of black women, we are so much stronger when we are together and unified.
“A thirsty B-word” Kim walking away from calling people bitches because it’s not useful 😅
Just wanted to add. Technically another housewife, Katie, called them the "green eyed bandits" and they now use it as a joke.
As s soon as I heard Karen day her and Gizelle raised their children in Jack and Jill together it all made sense lol
Kim and everyone happy new year 🎉 to y'all 2023 please be nice!!!
Happy New Year’s 🎉
This video was awesome Kimberly! My favourite one yet. Loved the ‘men are sociopaths’ part
Thank you for saying what I’ve been saying for a while. H fact that Gizelle’s father worked so closely with MLK during the civil rights movement and this is how she displays herself on television is disgusting.
Yup and young people are watching.
I’m not surprised bc a lot of pro black men talk Blackity black while sleeping light, bright and white so I’m ACTUALLY Not surprised ol gilt is like this
Mlk wasn't shit!...he was colorist too...a lot of these "leaders" who've been put on a weird ass pedastal in the black community are problematic at the core...so, she's displaying herself the way she was taught!
And I think a lot of people are forgetting that just because people worked in the civil rights movement and fought for our people does not mean they were not colorist. It was even worse then… I mean, aren’t her parents around the same skin color..
Yeah. Alot of people were shocked that Gizelle is a daughter of a civil rights politician. Because the way she carries herself on TV is questionable
Let’s not forget how they billed Ashley about her natural hair
The girls trip clip gives "we wanted to go abroad but needed the other girls money & all my girls dont have men so i used the excuse of a girls trip but knew my man would pull up all along"
Candice calling Deborah a sesame Street character was very fitting. Her features are interesting and strong if nothing else
Even sesame street characters look better than her
😂
You had me LMFAO when you said" Its not like these men ( the uninvited +1 parter) are super interesting and charismatic..."", so incredibly true!
Sociopaths indeed.
I'm also transitioning back to analog for memory! Cool to hear it's not just me.
Lmao @ "women annoying their friends with the same f'in stories. Sounds like me in my 20's🤷♀️ i'm ashamed now. Wasted tears over people I didn't even really love.
As a gay woman, this was intense af but I listened to the whole shit even though it’s none of my business 😂 Shit was entertaining 🤷🏽♀️ 😆
"Meanwhile you've left behind DECADES of MESS" say it sis
Brittany is Absolutely doing her Female Kev Sam origin story. She’s about to have the same men who dragged her, eating out her palm. It’s terrible.
"We're just doing really really bad!"....when I tell you I felt that in my soul. 😭😂
Potomac is the most colorist show on tv it’s almost racist for the producers to endorse any of the behavior
Regarding the girls trip - I understand the need to save money, but at my big age of 33, the only person I’m sharing a hotel with is my husband. I don’t give a damn if we been best friends since 1901, we aren’t sharing a room. Sorry. I need my own space.
I don’t like this sharing a room business.
Then don't go on girl's trips. Not going IS an option.
You can ask for an Air BnB situation if that is what you prefer, but if you don't like the conditions of a trip, you can elect not to go. It's okay to have your standards, but be considerate, that's all.
@@monimuppet6132 I’ve been on many..sharing a room is not a requirement. Not sure if you knew that or not lmao
@@FromMiamiWithLuv I’m confused on why you think I don’t know this. I’ve been on plenty of group trips. I’m saying sharing a room is not FOR ME….not that I don’t know about other options. Lol
Kim I can’t stand yooooouuu! LMFAO 😂 😂Talking about, “Deborah… 😬 😖🙃! …But Deborah is not a Gizelle!” And you are 1,000,000% right! She believes her biracialness and “exoticism” place her above the rest! SMH 🤦🏾♂️
It’s not worth fighting but was definitely wrong to invite 4 dudes on the trip to Airbnb
Brittany Renner is just trying to get wifed up. She’s singing a different tune.
I love your channel. As a married woman in her forties, the men only get better with age! The right men will mature and understand our value.
Old as in 40+? Please tell me where they are😩. I’m 41 and just had to let down a 39 yr educated but F*** boy…When my senses kicked in of course. I’m so much better off but I believe in love so hoping find my person or he finds me.
How old? Cuz this 35 year old i was dealing with at 24 is 🥴🥴🥴
What men get better with age? They sure ain’t out here
@@nightingaleofficial3604 The right men will get better, and the wrong ones will be 60 year old f*** boys! 😆
These men must be on their deathbed, about to take their last breath, cause I do not see them acting much better as they get older...please let us know where these men are, not that I'm looking, cause Im in my thirties and the older I get is the more I realize just how toxic a lot of men are...I cannot!
That long pause after “Deborah…”
Like, Daytime Emmy worthy. Brava! And I’m not gonna hold anybody but I’m an “I made these specific plans with you” person. Bring anyone uninvited/last minute and I’m just gonna leave out. If you wanted to hang with them, why even involve me?
Your facial expressions when talking about Debra had me CRINE! 😂😂😂😂
Exoticism is a thing.
Some men can’t handle the energy that is reciprocated back to them. Poor thangs! She ate them up, they were quiet!
Don’t get me started with Pearl! My lawd! Traditional women did what they needed to do and modern women get to do what we want! We can honor the past without tearing down progress or evolution!!!! Some people will let that go over their heads. I just scroll past it.
Not gon be windmilling in the club about a serial cheater... girl that part I love my man and he's great but I aint built for none of that
I think even the idea of being in “your prime” at any age is an interesting one. Maybe when you were younger you were in your intellectual prime, maybe when you’re older you’re in your aesthetic prime, etc. I think it’s valuable to imagine that in any era of our lives we may not fully be in “our prime” in some vague sense, and instead to reflect on what qualities we want to cultivate in that period in our lives given our time, energy, and resources.
