You need to play Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. That one is the last real fallout, it doesn't come close to fallout 2, but it's pretty damn good.

@@aristotlepovey9866 well yeah I was mostly talking about day one 76 and the hand full of following months, after the updates and bethesda actually taking the time of day to fix it there's clearly been some improvement.

I preordered the $199 Power Armor edition and also bought an extra $60 digital copy just so I could game share to my other Xbox in my bedroom and not have to keep track of a disc, and I’ve been completely happy with it. It launched as a mess with glitches galore, and it didn’t feel like a true fallout game at first, but I had fun and never once experienced a real game breaking bug or anything like that. Every Bethesda game is pretty riddled with bugs so I expected they’d be there from the start. I’ve honestly had a blast with the game beginning with the beta and now that they’ve added NPCs and new storylines, it actually feels like a real Fallout title. I’m in no way saying it’s a perfect game, but as a huge Fallout fan and collector, I definitely got my moneys worth with the helmet and the sheer amount of hours that I’ve put into the game overall. I agree that it’s not for everyone and I can definitely see how a lot of people might not enjoy it, but to each their own I suppose.

@@alladeenmdfkr2255 the point is in vanilla fallout sure you have the ghoulish perk but that doesn't turn you into a ghoul DAMMIT BETHESDA OBSIDIAN AND INTERPLAY let me experience ghoul bigotry first hand I want to get beaten yelled at and probably shot on sight OH you know what would've been cool if you were able to become a ghoul it'd lock you out of certain side quests or at least make it so you'd have to do more work to get the quests like for example of this was in 3 the ability to get into ten penny tower would be harder for a ghoul you'd probably have to have a high speech skill or bribe people for entry and the ability to blow up Megaton and yes this entire comment was dead serious

This game is like Interplay looked at Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, saw how popular it was, tried to emulate it and somehow took everything bad while bringing over none of the good.
I had the same thought, that was my favorite co-op title back then. They actually stole the engine, there was a lawsuit.
I had to look this up because everything from the font they use, to sound design, health bar, combat mechanics, physics, cinematics, weapon selection, leveling system... The list goes on, it's a carbon copy.
More like they looked at Champions Return to Arms and Champions of Norrath
Fun fact: Every single boss theme in this game was a song written by popular (at the time) metal bands of some description, with such bands as Meshuggah, Slipknot and Celdweller offering music to the game (Which was then repitched, resped, and had ALL of the vocals removed). You know, just to drive home the fact this game's definitely for a specific target audience.

From what I remember in Fallout tactics not only do ghouls join the brotherhood but supermutants and deathclaws as well.

Even me, a person who stuck with fallout 76 from the beginning, would not stick with this game at all for a single second. But it is nice to see somebody spreading Lore about the game, some people just don't like to go through 5 hours of oxhorn videos and play all the games through multiple times to learn about it lol
Fallout 76 is bad because it was broken, rushed, and what it stands for, this game is bad in the same way superman 64 is, the game is fully functional it's just boring as hell and all you do is the same thing over and over.

@@Pigness7 problem is when BOS came out in my country it costed literaly 2 lunches and i finished it in one week it might not be good game even a t thath time but it was compleete and playable, i say worth the money... F76 cost me 3 full days of work and it wants more money every time i start it, it was literaly unplayable for first half year and its still mess even now. I say BOS is better game just becose it is a game bad game but GAME while F76 is not a GAME its life service sandbox which have little of sand its full of dog shit and only way how to play it is bring a friends and try to make game of it

A remake of this game seems good. The premise is not so bad tbh, need some tweaking on camera and add more rpg element. You'll get combination between diablo and fallout
although a completely different setting, i get some champions of norrath vibes from this game, from the camera angle (although this is way worse), the save system/menu and the text pop ups

Ah, _Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel,_ I still have this game for the PS2. I look at it as a punk '90s remake of the source material and find it entertaining in that light. In my opinion, it has the best implementation of the old _Resident Evil_ "tank-control" mechanics I've ever personally played in a video game, but of course, they're still somewhat tricky to use. An improvement from the old _RE_ games' controls is that it's nice to be able to freely control the camera, but I too wish you could angle it toward the horizon a little more. When fighting with ranged weapons, you have to basically keep running away from enemies with the free-movement controls to create distance, then use the enemy lock-on button to swing back around and fire a few quick shots before repeating the process until they die. It's too bad you didn't play as the girl; she has the same dodging rolls as the female Raiders, which makes ranged combat in general and especially the boss fights so much easier and a bit fun once you get used to it. Using a well-timed roll to dodge the super-long-range melee strikes from the radscorpion and ghoul bosses actually feels quite rewarding. The big dude can use extra heavy weapons but not dual-wielded ones and the ghoul, well you played him, and you can probably see why I never bothered with either. If you beat the game, in addition to some other "extras", you get another three characters to play as including the original(TM) "Vault Dweller" who gets bonus damage with "home-made" weapons. The radscorpion sections at the beginning are always a pain, but it's too bad you never made it into the Vault where things get really out of hand!

This was the first Fallout game I played, got it on PS2.
It's not that bad really, it's an reskin of another RPG game with the same engine. It's got lots of bugs and is kinda bleh but it's interesting, got some unlockables and stuff for reply value, it's the last one by Interplay aswell. Very action oriented and more linear.
Also that Fallout poster was for Fallout III, an xancelled version by Black Isles, which was cancelled after Bethesda bought out Interplay.
