Does mountune void the warranty in the UK?
I believe it does but worth checking with Mountune for clarity on this 👍
I prefer the pre-facelift though. I don't like the big screen and the lack of air conditioning controls and seating. Recaro in my opinion are more comfortable and look better ...

Did you experience much torque steer with the extra torque? Did you have any issues getting traction?
The car hooked up really well and has a great front end. You do have to manage the power but that is inevitable in a front wheel drive car. I would say it is at its limit in power but 100% worth going for as the power curve, plus when you are not traction limited, is a real game changer and I found it unlocked the full potential of the car. I have plans to meet up with the owner in February so stay tuned for an update and an exciting video on the channel👍
With M330 the slippery mode is the real choice to go. It's like an individual mode. Power, softest suspension, softest gas/brake reaction. Best. Don't forget to switch off the fake sound via Forscan. Trust me, it's worth it, just like in the mk3.

Hey Sam. I got my ST mk4 prefacelift (stock just lowered) for around a year and few months now. I must say it is a great daily driver. Whats bothering me it is a lack of pop, bangs and these little sounds (very few in sport mode when you driving very hard) which give you the racing atmosphere and fun. I was watching stock Focus rs mk3 and this things pops and bangs non stop in sport mode which is very fun. So, now i see that even with m330 the thing is almost the same (very few bangs, maybe a few more than stock but nothing special and nothing like RS). What is your opinion regarding the sound of ST mk4 vs. RS mk3?
Hey! Congrats on your MK4 ST. It sounds like you are enjoying the ownership so far! As for the noise I would say the RS is better. In general this is because of the lack of OPF's and emission regulations pre-2018 essentially. I do like the sound of the MK4.5 Facelift ST but I have only driven a MK4 ST on track where it was hard to tell if it would pop and bang. All cars are getting quieter so it is something we have to accept more now with cars. The mountune exhaust made a great noise on the MK4.5 so I can recommend it if you are after that little bit more 👍

Is the mountune 330 kit warranty friendly like the mk3 mp275 was?
I believe the kit has a 12 month warranty from Mountune but this may void your engine warranty. Best to confirm with Mountune on their website as this could be a deal breaker for most people 👍
I've just got the M330 for my Mean Green Mk4.5 estate, just waiting for the maps to be sent over from mountune. I also have the mountune carbon induction kit and Carbon rear Intake, looking forward to seeing how it is

@@SamAustin Thank you! Curious to know - when driven sensibly has it improved the MPG? Not that I care, but improved MPG under sensible driving means it'll pay for itself...!
Economy wise the owner noticed no difference when going to the M330 kit. If you drive it normally it will be fine but if you push it hard it will use up more fuel. MPG is important as its great to have the extra range to have more fun 👍
Hi, so obviously the m330 will void the warranty! Is it worth the gamble for the reward?
It did make a big difference when pushing the car on further but torque wise stock is about the same as the M330 and the car works great low down in the revs. I don't think it's a necessity but it helped the power curve up high and made the car feel more linear.

Track pack is £3,000 in the UK. The M330 tune is £600 bringing the power to 330ps from 280ps

I would recommend it for peace of mind yes but it is worth checking with mountune as they are the experts 👍
What’s 3rd gear like?
Pulls very well in all gears. Plus gives more at the top end with the mountune kit. You cant rev it out in 3rd gear on the road otherwise you would be over the speed limit but having driven the car on track, without the mountune pack, I can confirm it pulled very well from stock and I did hit 130mph at Thruxston

Hey Sam I took my mrk4 st to went to mountune yesterday to see Ryan customer service A1 nothing to much trouble very professional. I had the m330 mountune springs all round , plus gear change shorter shift which is much better . Plus there carbon intake and induction kit , plus intercooler. The whole still feels nice it's not over the top noisy just nice sound and more punch when you put your foot down . I didn't b want to loud and boy racy I think mountune got it just right .
The only thing I've noticed with my mk4. From when I got it is the gear change at lower speeds going up the gears can feel or sounds like a slight clunky ness as if when you let clutch out you hear a kind of connection as every thing engages it's hard to explain? I've read up and it seems common on st focus even brand new ones have ever experienced this ?
I had the car checked they said everything was ok
Great to here you are enjoying the MK4 with the additions. Certainly adds to the car! I have not heard of that issue myself. I know in my manual Golf R you have to be quite precise with the clutch at lower speeds....I think it is due to the high power/torque for manual cars but I've got used to it given the amount of different hot hatches I have driven plus owning the Golf R for 6+ years. Might be a bit of a characteristic of these types of cars possibly but I would have it checked out further by an expert if something does not feel right to you to be safe 🤔

Hi. Great video. I’m seriously looking at this and checked the insurance which is fine but does this need any other hardware apart from air filter ?
because for some reason my insurance will cover everything apart from an inter cooler change.
Thank you for the positive feedback! I believe it is just an air filter and an ECU change for this mountune kit. It really made a difference at the top end. I am also filming with the owner soon again so expect plenty of content to appear in March to help 🙂

Got to love a stage 1 manual 💙 the owner is spot-on, this is how the car should have left the factory. . manufacturers de tune cars to meet emission standards, and stage 1 just returns the performance to how it was developed 👍😎

Thankful for this video. Were there any hardware upgrades that are compulsory when getting this. Not sure if i missed that bit.
Sorry a bit new to this, but do Mountune offer a warranty if this upgrade invalidates the manufacturers engine warranty?
Thank you for all the comments here. So the only hardware upgrade is the air filter. Mountune do offer a warranty but I believe this may void your standard manufacturer's warranty. To answer the last question the car was extremely fun 😁 Appreciate all the support from you all 👍
I went too look at a golf r estate today to buy but the header tank was full to the brim I instantly thought water pump leaking so walked away it had done 45 k miles on a 19 plate and I bought a BMW. 3,30D MSPORT INSTEAD 😂😂😂😂
