Realistically if we take the most basic archetypal aspects of each of their decks this is really Gagagas vs Dark Magicians. And those in my opinion are relatively equally matched depending on their builds. But overall Astral's deck is far more consistent and non reliant on very powerful effects. Rather he is reliant on more situational effects.

I use the exact card sleeves Yugi's deck is sleeved in. They protect my 'Tiki-Golem of the Gods'. It's essentially an Earth deck that uses Rock monsters and "Tiki" trap monsters to summon the God cards. It's got multiple protective supports for helping me stay flexible against Extra Deck users.

Astral missed an opportunity for a move; When he Xyz Summoned #11: Big Eye, he forgot to use Gagaga Girl to zero out the attack points of one of Atem's monsters; If Gagaga Girl *_And Only other Gagaga monsters_* are used to Xyz summon, she can zero out a monster's points.
I feel bad and yet admiration for Mr. Green. To still have the heart to do this voice even though his wife is no longer with him takes heart.

Pendulums are spell-monsters that have effects like spells and sit in a separate zone, but can be summoned to the field.
iRazenrak That's more confusing than the term itself. Pendulum monsters are monsters that can be used as either spells or monsters. When placed in the pendulum zone they can be used to pendulum summon monsters from the hand or extra deck within the range of levels afforded by the combination of pendulum spells used. Pendulum monsters and spells go to the extra deck instead of the graveyard. This allows them to be pendulum summoned repeatedly throughout a duel.
Crest-TGFEA Pendulum monsters are monsters that can be played as normal monsters or set in the Pendulum Zones to act as spell cards of a sort. They get two different effects depending on where they're placed, in this regard. If you have a Pendulum monster in each Pendulum Zone, you can perform a Pendulum Summon. This is done by checking the 'scales' on a card (they will be located on the sides of the card). When performing a Pendulum Summon, you will summon normal, effect, and pendulum monsters from your hand. You may also summon Pendulum Monsters from your extra deck (as when destroyed, instead of going to the graveyard, they will go to the Extra Deck). You may only pendulum summon once per turn, however, so if you get rekt by a Bottomless Trap Hole, you just wasted all those monsters (including the Pendulum Monsters, who will be banished due to Bottomless' effect).

Celza Yamuto Yuma is the worst protagonist out of the 5, he can't bloody duel without the help of Astral, and on like the second episode he was all like "tribute summon!?!?! Whats that!?!?!" after that I stopped watching, so god damn awful.

Relay soul is a card DESIGNED for when youre life points hit zero you stay in the duel by playing a monster. Only if that monster is destroyed u lose but since they follow anime rules fusing with said monster is ok. So no, Losing all his life points Did NOT make him lose

Yes but it's effect differs from the anime. In the TCG, Relay Soul Special Summons 1 monster from your hand, and while it's face-up on the field, you take no damage.
Since, however, they weren't following TCG rules, and were instead going by anime rules, Yami was able to survive with 0 Life Points. That move would not have worked if someone tried it in the TCG.
it was kind of a cheap duel because even tho astral should have won of course they fanboy over yugioh and let him win when relay soul is being used as its anime eff

In the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Astral's voice was not arrogant, but now I see it's a different story in the English Dub version
Can confirm that (most of the time) that is not true in the Dub. IMO he's actually quite dignified, except when he's making of Yuma, which everybody and their mom already do. Dunno why they decided to make him trash talk so much here.
Especially since, given the presence of Rainbow Kuriboh, this was way past the whole "I trust Yuma with the Numbers" thing.
He's quite humble in the dub actually.
let's not forget that he here didn't use all the utopias or most of them or utopic dragon or even the combo of utopia+ abyss splash+numeron dragon+ rising hope (which results in a win with a great load of atk)

They always use the anime rules for these battles, and after all, it is 2 anime characters playing against each other, so no, no one cheated, otherwise I can't imagine you watching the anime without screaming "CHEATERS!?!!11!" the whole time. Cards of Sanctity is the most known anime eff card, so I'm guessing that you do accept it's anime effect for some odd reason. And it's not like the Kuribandit effect is the most broken shit ever.

could have ended earlier. the dark magician knight can destroy any card so get rid of the face down card then use black luster to banish utopia then attack with knight and deal 2500 points of damage then put down swords of revealing light and end

this duel is alright but it shows that the older cards are compatible with the newer cards and are playable with the newer cards it is pretty cool

I think that maybe Konami and 4Kids ought to get together and host a tournament where fans are able to duel their favorite anime characters. And the duels will follow rules used in the anime.

Classic Yugioh will always be the best. Even duel academy was great to watch. After that it lost something. Duels lacked the excitement. Or I just got older lol.

As much I consider Yugi to be a complete boss, I feel that the duel would've probably ended quite differently if Yuma had been there, due to his reckless yet confident dueling ways. That, and it would've been fair to see Yuma and Astral activate Zexal to have an awesome match between both duelists' Ace monster's!! Very well scripted though
