- Fighting rages on in the north and south of Gaza.

In the south, those who haven't fled Rafah say the air strikes and shelling have been almost non-stop as Israeli forces continue their advance.
Troops and tanks have also pushed deeper into Jabaliya in the north - killing and wounding dozens more Palestinians - with ambulances unable to access the area.
But the arrival of desperately-needed aid by sea is offering some hope.
Jonathan Rugman has this report, which contains some distressing images.

Israel doesn't ask other countries to feed their people. But Hamas and other Palestinian governments always ask for more aids and more money even in time of peace.
There is no UNRWA for Israel but there is UNRWA since many years for Gaza.

This is going to sound really bad but it just hit me the fact that Hamas were actually holding hostage the unalived body of Shani. I never thought I’d hear a reporter saying that someone was keeping a dead body hostage, it’s beyond disturbing, what kind of a person is able to do that?
The Israeli forces routinely keep the bodies of their victims hostage. They refused just recently to return the head of a young man so a mother had to say goodbye and Bury her son without his head. But of course he was Palestinian so what does it matter...right?

The fact that there are justifiable concerns it could later be used by Israel to facilitate attacks from the sea is even worse. One certainly wonders why they allowed it to be built when so determined to block aid taking any other route.

How can you be so ignorant when even mainstream media have been reporting throughout Israel's charade of giving civilians the chance to evacuate to minimise casualties, that it is in truth impossible. There has never been any way of getting the sick, injured, pregnant, elderly, disabled, young families etc to leave in time. Those who have, have been killed by Isaeli attacks en route, or found the "safe zones" they were directed to were being bombed before they even arrived.
There has never been the needed infrastructure or even shelter where they were sent, with conditions worse at each successive zone. Now two million exhausted, sick and injured people, many already starving to death and unable to be moved, are meant to move to a desert, with no water, no hygiene facilities, no shelter, no medical care, no infrastructre for the distribution of aid.
