I remember very fondly playing this it was one of my first online experiences because even if I had a computer in my home it wasn't powerful enough, so I played this through ps3. It was a 2008 summer, and I just remember that the thing you Had to do in this multi-player game was to spawn and rush to the airport. It was the place to be: people doing laps around, people stealing the police helicopters screewing around with them, trying to slice players with the rotor blades, crashing into the other players that were just doing laps... The game had modes, primitive ones albeit, like a cops and robbers. But it was perfect, didn't need more, it was pure sandbox experience in which the player had to make their fun stories and all. Sometimes you spawned on a server with only one guy and you either minded your business or decided to go after him 1v1... Excellent times. Not even saying this in a bad nostalgic way, I am just happy to have lived that small gaming moment. GTA V online would never retain that in my opinion.
I may be a millennial scum. But.... To me. Nothing will come close to this time in gaming. Spring and summer of 08' it was amazing. There was GTA4, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Battlefield Bad Company 1. AND IT WAS THE GREATEST TIME EVER.
