You missed the reinforced bulkheads on the light cruisers. Also if you do light shell size for your torpedo boats you can max bulkheads and bump their speed, which for the torpedoes is better.
Being able to play the minor nations finally gives the player a good reason to pick ships as war prizes upon victory. You were simply too small to make ships on your own. You needed to take them from someone else.
Expanded canoes with torpedos strapped on top. Lol, love this series
The newer class must be the ultra armed canoe expansion.
28:14 WELCOME to the legitimate brazilian experience

At least the press can stop complaining about the lack of battleships in our fleet!🤣
Would probably nice if you can absorb the remnants of enemy navies that you have conquered.
It has always been in my thoughts since the first time I watched you and Stealth playing Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts.

Relatório: Refit of the Grajaú class of Cruzadores Blindado. 12:35:
Diretoria-Geral do Material da Marinha: Relatório da Direção: 23-Jun-1897
Brief: The Grajaú '97 class will consist of two Cruzadores Blindado designed to a target displacement of 10,500 tons and a top speed of 21 knots. The refit will see the upgrade of the engineering plant, which will greatly increase the range of the ships and standardize them with the rest of the fleet. There is extensive improvement of the hull structure to increase survivability.
Propulsion: The class has three new triple expansion engines provided steam by three induced draft boilers burning new coal vented though two funnels generating 19,270 indicated horsepower turning three screws for the required top speed on a design displacement of 8,417 tons fully loaded with a new balanced rudder turned by steam power for an operational range of 2,560 nautical miles.
Armament: The class' main battery is two twin turrets mounted fore and aft bearing 9"/35 Mark 2 guns with 9" face, 1.5" top, 9" barbette nickel steel armor, turned by advanced hydraulic power with enhanced reloading, using coincidence range finders, and with and internal barbette armor to prevent penetration. The main magazine carries a balanced load of standard sized 50% Base Fuze HE and 50% Standard AP shells using white powder as the propellant and Gun Cotton as the bursting charge. The secondary battery is eighteen casemates mounted nine per side bearing 3"/34 Mark 2 guns with 2" face and 0.2" top nickel steel armor. The secondary magazine carries a HE heavy standard load of standard sized 62.5% Base Fuze HE and 37.5% Standard AP shells. Four Mark 2 under water tubes fore, aft, and two per side launching a standard load of 16" torpedoes with compressed air aided combustion rounds out the armament.
Protection: Nickel steel armor is clade with an added underwater protective deck 6" on the main belt, 2" on the extended belt, 0.5" on the main deck, 0.2" on the extended deck, 0.2" on the inner deck, 2" on the superstructure, and now 9" on the conning tower. The Class has a single bottom hull and reinforced bulkheads separating extensive compartmentation, counter-flooding systems to avoid listing, and anti-torpedo bulges. A crew of 560 officers and enlisted men will be provided standard quarters. The class carries radio communications systems.
Construction: The refit will cover the ship Grajaú, Piratini, Cruzeiro do Sul, and Defensora. Refit time will be 2 months with a recommissioning time of 2 months. Valuation of each ship will rise to $32,968,960, and monthly maintenance in port will now be $1,351,727.
Perhaps some sort of "Factions" system could be implemented. I could see it helping with alliances, treaties and wars by allowing minor nations to choose to "attach" themselves to am larger nation and follow them over the course of a conflict, earning victory points towards a shared pool, and with a single treaty able to end the conflict for all involved.
Relatório: Design of the Marambaia class of sea going Torpedeiros. 29:35:
Diretoria-Geral do Material da Marinha: Relatório da Direção: 12-Feb-1899
Brief: The Marambaia class will consist of Torpedeiros designed to a target displacement of 800 tons and a top speed of 28 knots. These large boats will provide additional protection for the country. They will be built individually as funds become available.
Propulsion: The class has one triple expansion engine provided steam by one induced draft boiler burning coal vented though one funnel generating 936 indicated horsepower turning two screws for the required top speed on a design displacement of 794 tons fully loaded with a unbalanced rudder turned by hydraulic power for an operational range of 5,636 nautical miles.
Armament: The class' main battery is one single mount forward bearing a 4"/35 mark 2 gun with 1.5" face and 0.2 top nickel steel armor, turned by advanced hydraulic power with enhanced reloading, using coincidence range finders. The main magazine carries an HE heavy standard load of standard sized 62.5% Base Fuze HE and 37.5% Standard AP shells using White Powder as the propellant and Gun Cotton as the bursting charge. Six Mark 2 deck torpedo mounts aft launching a reduced load of 16" torpedoes with compressed air aided combustion is the primary component of the armament.
Protection: The Class has a single bottom hull and standard bulkheads separating extensive compartmentation, with counter-flooding systems to avoid listing. A crew of 60 officers and enlisted men will be provided cramped quarters. The class carries radio communications systems.
Construction: The class will start with the Marambaia T-0 with additional boats to be added. Build time will be 7 months with a commissioning time of 1 month. Cost per ship will be $5,956,822, and monthly maintenance in port of $244,230.
In regards to the flags changing when the government in power changes, I kinda find it fascinating to see what different political movements had as their flags since the 20th century was such a volatile time period, even if many of these flags never were used cause IRL they never came to power. I just find it an interesting detail, but I also understand why you want to change it to a uniform flag to avoid confusion per nation. Perhaps a good compromise would be to make a "change flag when government in power changes" option in case someone wants the extra level of immersion?
I’d need TAF to do that, but I will include the weird flags in the mod so you can just rename them to get them to show up 😄

That Argentinian torpedo boat you fought in the second battle actually looked pretty good.
Cant wait to play dipv3
And tbh the war just spiraling out of control is pretty cool tbh. Hope that stays so you can have a few nations fighting against another set of nations and have like a world war
Don't know if you already have (or if you're scrapped them) But if you refit those BBs again, you might want to consider changing their towers From what I can see, they seem to have low-level towers installed. Doing so (if you have the weight to do so) can greatly help with a lot of the finer details of ship handling and fighting abilities.
Side note: Those TBs are phenomenal
Hey bro It's nice to see you playing as Brazil on the new version of DIP mod, I'm from Brazil I hope to see some nice ships, like, maybe you can built Minas Geraes and Rio de Janeiro (Agincourt)? Would be nice
Hmm, militarised canal narrowboat.

Hey I’ve noticed that your game turns darker from time to time idk why tho just wanted to let you know
Yeah I sometimes catch it and can correct it in post
cant wait for the mod and try the Ottomans and recreate the Byzantines
They had a naval budget of -34 mil as you blockaded them.
I always use 150mm guns on destroyers with light shells. Against CLs, DDs, Transports, the big HE shell is best! Early on, I put on two 150mm guns, plus torpedoes and that's it! You won't hit much above 5,000m anyways... so it it hits, the 150mm light shell hits hard!
Betrayed by Brasila 25:08:
Estadão, 8 January 1898
Despite assurances by the Comandante da Marinha that the Marinha de Guerra Brasil would be able to defeat the Regia Marina, the government in Brasila has decided to hand over $60 million to Rome to end the war. Riots have broken out in most of the port cities of the country and Capitanias dos Portos have had to turn out the Companhia de Polícia to quell the unrest. The rest of the country was thrilled, and the Ação Integralista Brasileira have won a total majority in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
Ação Integralista Brasileira - 67.8%
Partido Republicano Mineiro - 25.6%
Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro - 6.6%
The centrist Partido Republicano Paulista wasn’t able to gain any seats, nor were the Communists.
Brasila’s willingness to end the conflict has also received praise from London, Paris, Berlin, Washington, Moscow, Madril, Beijing, Lisbonne, Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Hanseong (Seoul).
If I read the politics scene correctly, Argentina had two ports. I assume the next video will start off will "well turns out Argentina isn't dead," as you show us some random bit of Asia or a tiny island they acquired at some point.
On the bright side, if I'm understanding the game correctly, I think you have enough victory points to get a peace treaty and you can swipe some money and/or ships.
Venezuela Falls to Britain 26:46:
Estadão, 3 February 1898
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland has conquered the American occupied South American province of Venezuela. American losses were 188 thousand to 373 thousand for the Royal Army. This changes the complexion of the Amazon frontier, with the Yankees now having only having the Colombian border with us but Britain having more.
The British are also attempting to land against the Pacific coast of America.
(Okay, how in the world is it possible to “invade” western American, California, Oregon, and Washington State, and only suffer 88 casualties?)
Ex argentine ships.. we dub you the substandard class...
8:12 forgot the guncotton
Are you going to do a South American conquest campaign? All of the neutral territory has been taken by now.
Yup!
World News 1897
Brasila Buys off Tokyo 09:15:
Estadão, 8 January 1897
Faced with threats from the Empire of Japan, the government in Brasila has decided to scrape $18 million out of the emergency funds of the Marinha de Guerra Brasil and ease the tensions between our two countries. This resulted in riots in Rio de Janerio for a couple of days.
Peace with Austria 10:50:
Estadão, 14 May 1897
The heavily reduced Österreichisch Föderative Republik has finally found the time to agree to a white peace with the Estado Novo do Brasil. After 43 months of no activity here will be no war indemnities ore admissions of war guilt. Hopefully our two countries can now live in peace.
America Asks for Aid 10:56:
Estadão, 17 May 1897
The United States of America, suffering badly in their war with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, has asked for aid from Brasila and suggested an alliance between our two countries. The government apparently is not interested in purchased friendship.
America has just lost the territory of El Salvador to Britain, with 23 thousand American dead to 29 thousand British.
Korean Admiral’s Visit Hailed 11:05:
Estadão, 19 May 1897
Wonsu Seugjin Kim of the Imperial Korean Navy, on his recent visit to Rio de Janerio, was well received. His demeanor and courtesy has been positively contrasted with the recent interactions with the Japanese.
Communist Revolution in Russia 11:32:
Estadão, 23 May 1897
Faced with enemies everywhere on their frontier, the government of the Russian Empire found enemies were lurking at home. The Russian Communist Party has staged a revolution in Moscow and Petrograd, and taken control of most of the country. Even while this is happening they are pushing war against Sweden and Norway.
any rough idea of when v3 will be available for the public?
You can test the alpha now if you like, the public beta is maybe a month or so away - and that’s assuming the base game doesn’t throw us any more curveballs
The Second Argentine War News Shorts
War with Argentina!
Estadão, 8 September 1899
The Estado Novo do Brasil has formally declared war on the República Argentina. Pressured to the action by the English Channel Entente, which has not been able to spare forces to deal with Argentina, Brasila has agreed to this move.
Comandante da Marinha de Guerra Brasil has immediately ordered the fleet to move to the Rio de la Plata.
Buenos Aires Blockaded! 34:40:
Estadão, 10 October 1899
The Marinha de Guerra Brasil has moved into the Rio de la Plata and blockaded the capital and major port of the República Argentina.
The Exército Brasileiro has begun the invasion of Argentina from the Estado Oriental del Uruguay and the Estado Rio Grande do Sul and of Paraguay from the Estado Parana and the Estado Mato Grosso do Sul.
Battle of Buenos Aires 36:26:
Estadão, 16 August 1900
The Armada de la República Argentina, with everybody allied against them, their ports blockaded, and resources scarce, has managed to build one Barco torpedero, the Segui class Segui T-1. She sortied out and engaged the Mearim class Torpedeiros Mearim T-1 and Mearim T-2, from the Montevideo Naval Base de Uruguay. At 446 tons, the Segui only double the number of torpedo launchers of the older GEG class.
Maerim T-2 led the division when they sighted funnel smoke lying low on the water to the north-west. Maerim T-2 turned to close on it. Having superior torpedoes, Maerim T-2 launched hers first. Segui T-1 powered past them. But fortunately the Argentine decided to provide a torpedo explosion, when a 3” shell hit one of their launchers, detonating the loaded torpedo. Segui T-1’s three 4.7” guns were bigger but her crew were raw cadets, and she wasn’t getting hits while Maerim T-2 was. Maerim T-2 edged in towards Segui T-1 while Mearim T-1 tried to close from behind, rather than breaking to port and letting Mearim T-2 herd the Argentine into her torpedo range.
Finally Mearim T-1 was able to turn into the course of Segui T-1 and gain position on her. This drove Segui T-1 back towards Mearim T-2 who got a flooding hit. In return Segui T-1 blew the tower off of Mearim T-2. There was one serious casualty. Out of control, Mearim T-2 struck Segui T-1 just as the Argentine sank with 14 of her 43 man crew. Mearim T-2 took one casualty while Mearim T-1 picked up the 29 Argentine survivors.
Landings Begin 39:57:
Estadão, 19 October 1900
The Fuzileiros Navais have begun landings around the Capital of Buenos Aires. The Exército Brasileiro is pressing hard as well both against Paraguay and against Entre Rios and Corrientes.
Paraguay Taken! 40:58:
Estadão, 19 October 1900
The Exército Brasileiro has taken control of Paraguay, defeating the Ejército Argentino. Losses for the Argentines were 26 thousand men and for Brazil 37 thousand. The forces there are cleaning up the last resistance and moving to invade Chaco and Formosa (the Argentine state, not the island).
The Fall of Argentina! 41:31:
Estadão, 17 March 1901
Defense of Buenos Aires state collapses before the Fuzileiros Navais. The Exército Brasileiro rolls over Entre Rios, Corrientes, Chaco, and Formosa. The government in Buenos Aires has fractured, some fleeing south while others have shipped themselves off to the Faroe Islands.

Paraguay Falls to Argentina!
Estadão, 19 September 1898
The landlocked South American country of Paraguay has fallen to the attack by Argentina. This acquisition moves the Argentine border further north into Brazil. The government is being complacent while the rest of the world has declared Argentina an outlaw regime. The República Argentina is currently at war with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the Troisième République Française, the Deutsches Kaiserreich, the United States of America, the Regno d'Italia, Dai Nihon Teikoku, the Reino de Portugal, the Groot-Nederland, the Sublime Ottoman State, and Hellenic Republic. The República de Chile has terrible relations with them.

Has been changed
@@BrotherMunro
Seen.
And it wasn't a Sigma (the letter S), it was an Eta (the letter E), and it historicly stood for "Ellas" (Greece's actual name)
It is not a Greek flag. It is the flag of Brazil's short lived Fascist party, the "Ação Integralista Brasileira." They were active from 1932 to 1937. @BrotherMunro if you have changed it, I am of the opinion it should be changed back, as the Facist/Nationalist party is in power, and they tend to like to plaster symbols everywhere they can. Sorry for being pedantic.
Make the flag the imperial Brazilian flag
That is added by the mod if Brazil somehow becomes a monarchy
Also technically I think the major south American nations were really rich in the late 19th and 20th centuries but I might be wrong
Brazil in this game has been taken over by the Nationalist party. The flag now in his game is the flag of Brazil's short lived Fascist party, the "Ação Integralista Brasileira." They were active from 1932 to 1937.
I know that I just want to see the Brazilian imperial flag in this game since the monarchist party rarely come into power
