OMG, now something to do with my 580s. I just about fell out of my chair. After ETH, they were boxed up to sell but I just couldnt get rid of them. Now, in 30 minutes, I will be building out a rig. Have no idea of the wallet. Probably use the same as you. THANKS FOR SHARING your find. It killed me not to do something with them at the .08 winter rate. HAPPY DANCE!!!

What is the power at the wall?
Polaris are notorious for not reporting power correctly.
All depends on your power rates. But for sure use them istead getting dust!
This makes me think I should start up the old 5600xt and 6600xt rig
i just love how efficient KASPA is period. 400mh on all my 3060ti at 50-60w. Even my 3080s are killing it. 700mh at 71w.
If you were going to build a flux rig which card would you go with? I have wanted an octominer (12) for a while and I think I’m going all in. I was leaning 3070’s, but I keep seeing people rave about the 2080’s.

Man 3080s are Power Hogs. Thats a tough one. Thankfully you have pretty good electric rates. personally I would put them on a project you support. I would do Flux if I was in your shoes.
I have several rigs of 12 rx470 570 4gb. 890w total from the wall, 143mhs/card. I use it as a basement heater :) Tho they are still very inefficient compared to rtx 3xxx cards since the big updates. So primary product :heat, secondary: KAS.
I regret not selling them when they were 200$ each.

Nice video....Got a question for you. If my calculations are correct, even at .07/kwh you'd be losing about $.40 / day at the current price of Kaspa. So, if you HODL you'd actually have to pay $.80/day or roughly $24.34/month out of pocket just to power a single rig. Bear with me here as I'm not lucky enough to get .07/kwh. Even with solar I'm at an average of .096/kwh so spinning up your rig would cost me (also if I HODL) $36.50/month. I have 41 580s, so all of them would cost me $187.07/monthly. So long story to get to my question here, are you suggesting the future gain of appreciation of Kaspa is a good enough gamble to fire back up or?
I don't mine for Daily Profitability. I don't believe anyone should. Its only profitable if you Mine it, Receieve it and Sell it Today, taking your Profiits. If you look at a Calculator and it says its Profitable and your covering the Electric to Hodl your Spec Mining, without even realizing. For me, I have the hardware, I might as well use it, as I have faith the market will return. When, who knows. Do I think Kaspa will go up from here, yes.

I will always appreciate the RX 580, since its a card I got my feet wet with, however, I found they were in the way (density) to my expansion.
I literally bought the static bags to sell em and this makes me stoked.
I get like 45 watts with 4 cards and 3 of my cards are still like 75 :(

Out of curiosity, is it more profitable to mine kaspa currency with rx 580 xfx than ETH? And I'm also curious about how long (approximate number of days) you do 1 kaspa with 10 video cards for example? If you have an idea. I ask because I want to get an idea if the mining time and implicitly if the profitability rate would be as big and as fast as that of ETH. With 10 cards, I used to withdraw about 0.65 ETH per month (6 years ago when it was about 350 dollars an ETH), so I had about 200 euros, I'm curious if in a month it is possible to reach at least this amount from kaspa.
I have been trying to sell some of my mining GPUs. But tech channels have pretty much lied about miners, to the point hardly anyone is buying used GPU locally.
My 5600xt are the cheapest most powerful GPU you can buy locally on craigs list. I took care of them and they work and look perfect.
Weeks now and not one email.
I'd do Facebook Marketplace or ebay
People will buy jusr price then right.. for 5600xt i’d say about 120ish usd is their value

Sold off all my 570/580's for 6600's couldnt justify running them too inefficient in the current times been finding some very cheap 6600's on marketplace and ebay just gotta keep your eyes peeled

you can easily buy them used if you know how to repaste and replace thermal pads.

@@rehtric6537Nahh... GPU capacitors, VRM, VRAM chip, resistors and other physical components degrade overtime and mined gpu's are running 24/7, You didn't know how much life remaining when you buy it. it may work for days weeks and after that Garbage display. Blue screen. Dead gpu. etc.
@@-n-6969 this is the case if the gpu has been running continuously for 12-24 months. I highly doubt there would be significant degradation for a 580 used to mine for anywhere less than a year continuously. Not to mention that some used gpus are even purchased from people who game on them and may use lighter OC’s. You will find miners offloading used gpus, but they would be happy to let you know how long they have been using the gpu for.
Are you using the default bios or are you cards modded with the one click timing bios that was the go to for ETH mining.
These all have the Polaris 1 Click Bios Editor done on them.

I'm just trying to work out why your results are so far removed from mine. By best card is doing 129 for 77w, that's 1.6 efficiency. Yours are up at 2.5.

yes but you still run too much power for such small hashrate. My each RTX 3090 gives around 1100 mh/s at 255Watts its even possible to do more efficient then that. So yea i would have get rid of them how old are they it must be like 4-5 years old at least.

Could fire up the ol good mining rig. Have since shutting them down upgraded my house to solar panels and one wind turbine. Pretty much right now i have excess energy generation my house cannot use, shure i could sell it to the grid but i will have better profit every day from mining than selling to grid for few cents, batteries would still be full at end of day even with rig consuming 1000w.

I got a 590 and 580 + a 6600 now working together the 590 is mining much faster than 580 and the 6600 is twice as fast mining than the 590

I sold my gtx 1660 supers off and stopping mining with 6 gb video cards and below. My last one is going into one of my computers that has a gtx1650.

150 MH/s for 70 Watts doesnt seem too tempting at all... lets face it, till further notice AMD 500 series is out of the league, they are pretty damn good cards for video, though...
My goal for this video was to show miners that had RX580s sitting on the shelf, they may be worth putting to work.

I have the GPUS, Might as well use them with these Watts. I wouldn't recommend going out and purchase RX580s. But if you have them, great way to get them out of storage.
But your loosing $$$. I guess you just have more failth in mining that I do.
I don't mine for daily profitability. I mine for future speculation of a coins value going up in value.
