- I have always wanted to revisit certain people I have met along my unpredictable journey of stand up. These are people who are not influenced by their surroundings but found a way going against the grind. The lovely insights I had with such artists helped me reaffirm that I was on the right path. Like riding, every turn you take is based off your instinct and not necessarily through reason.
Thanks to Royal Enfield, I get to combine my love for art and the art of riding with this series. "Getting There" is about sharing our mutual learnings as we trudged along a very unfamiliar path with an audience.
Alicia Souza, the first guest, chose a path that started from a small decision (illustration) that led her to a very successful destination.
I chose Bangalore as the backdrop cause it is the city that has the perfect mix of energy and peace, something that Alicia possesses.

I remember reading tinkle as a child, there was this section called Alicia Souza’s fun facts. It was just illustrations at first which I loved! Then later on they used to include a tiny circular photo of Alicia. The size of the photo was that of a button.. i saw that pic and had such a kid crush on her.. I used to wait every month for the digest just to read the facts and see her.. Kenny, it’d mean the world to me if you can show this to Alicia ❤️ Thank you anyway..

My most memorable and kinda embarrassing moment was when my boyfriend and I went on a long ride to B. R. Hills...such a beautiful place with winding roads, dense vegetation, cool climate and scarce population. As we were enjoying the peaceful ride passing through forest reserves, we decided to ride slowly in the hope of spotting wild animals. Suddenly we spot a deer standing all by itself and my bf says he's sure there's a tiger hiding, waiting to hunt it down. I'm like what?! Tiger?! As we rode closer to the deer it looked at us for a while and then suddenly became cautious and ran into the woods. My boyfriend screamed "OMG the tiger has arrived " and we rode as fast as we could, me holding on to him as tight as I could and praying that nothing bad would happen to us. Suddenly my bf reved his interceptor 650 and I literally lost it coz I thought it was the tiger roaring. I was all teary and shaking and absolutely terrified and thats when my bf screams "aieeee pediche!" to me in malayalam. It was his plan all along. #gettingthere

Married a biker and the one thing we love doing together is taking long bike trips. And this one trip that we did, which was really challenging yet beautiful was the trip to Goa. We started off at 1am from Pune and reached Palolem beach the next day. Traveling within Goa, on our bike and not a rented one like usual, indeed was a moment of achievement and felt real that we actually rode that far. Fully geared up, I think the picture from this trip will always be the most memorable one for us.

My most memorable ride was the one with my dad.
My dad was working in Pune and usually rode his Royal Enfield while travelling between Mumbai and Pune.
Once he agreed to take me along.
We rode from Mumbai to Pune early morning, during monsoon. We took the old highway and it was scenic & beautiful.
Dad even taught me how to ride💖 We stopped at lonavala and the view was breath taking. There was fog everywhere with slight drizzle and chilly winds. We made a stop for tea and breakfast and then dad went ahead to Pune while I returned back to Mumbai via bus.
This another time he let me ride my scooty from Mumbai to pune. While he and mom rode on Royal Enfield. That was the first time I rode such a long distance alone.☺️

The most memorable ride I've had is with my then boyfriend, now ex. We were going through a rough phase with our mental health and decided to wing it and ride from Bangalore to Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu. 600 kms in one go, and twelve hours of sore butt, we reached Dhanushkodi. Spent a couple of days there and came back, we had to ride at night because we'd set out late. But it's got to be the most important journeys I've had till date :')

After reading her book "Dearest George", I was astonished to find how much a person can show their love to their loved one. The book was amazing. When I was reading it, I felt the pictures and words coming right from her heart. Till then I didn't know a couple who were this loving. Their lovestory is soo cheesy. Charlie and Hen are additional lovely and cute bonuses in their story. I really really love her sketches because her sketches are always on point. And I see she's very sweet in person 😍. I wish I could meet her one day. 💓

Sam and me drove from mysore up the hill to ooty... was the most amazing ride on an enfield.... In one day we drove up and down.. soaked up the rain and were so happy! my dp was taken up in ooty at the nicest point and I am happy! 😀

The cloudy day and the cool Banglore weather made me take out my bike and go to my girls place , who back then was "my crush " . We rode to Horsley Hills in Andra , somewhere about 150 KMS from blore , and while returning it started pouring down heavily , we made multiple stops to have chai and sutta , so as to keep ourselves warm in the cold rainy evening ...and the whole way back to blore she just hugged me from the back , to keep me warm . We reached late in the eve , it was still pouring ....
It was one of the best memories we both cherish till date .

My most memorable memory on a motorbike: it's with my boyfriend on a Royal Enfield. It was a Thunderbird that we rented from Royal Brothers. We went on an early morning trip to Nandi Hills and he had taught me how to ride a bike a few days ago only. So we both took turns to ride and i rode at 90kmph. So, adventure, speed, and adrenaline rush are some of my favorite feelings. And that early morning ride in January at 15°C, wearing layers of jackets, shivering and hugging each other while riding. That has been my best memory so far on a bike. It was so comforting being around each other, looking at the sunrise, and clicking pictures of each other, and just hanging out. I loved that day. ALSO, MY BOYFRIEND LOVES LOVES LOVES AN INTERCEPTOR. He is crazy about it and it's his dream bike. I'd really love if i could surprise him with some Royal Enfield Merch 🙈🙈❤️ Thank you for letting me share and also listening to my story! 😁

#gettingthere I cycled from Bangalore to Hyderabad. I cycled while my parents drove behind me in the car. It took me three days to reach Hyd and it is the most memorable trip of my life. My parents weren't sure that I'll be safe if went alone, so they joined me. That was when I completely understood how far my parents would go to support me.

I was under my treatment basically a naturopathy and I was suggested by the docs to take a ride around so I decided to visit Horsley hills in my native place with my friend..I tried and explored every turn on the road and also I was amazed by the diversity of those hills ...This Place had special place in my heart and we stopped almost everywhere while riding through the hills in the royal Enfield #gettingthere

When i was in my 12th std our tuition teacher and all my classmates we all went for ride in the night after our lecture it was just a 30 minutes ride but it was so much fun for everyone we all went there and have some hot chai and sone fafda (gujarati ) #gettingthere
Once went on a bike trip to Nandi hills and had a blast just sipping coffee and just enjoying the long walk, chasing monkeys and listening to urban legends about it being a Suicide Point. Had an exam the next day but taking my mind off the exam made me relish the journey and made me focus more on my studies. I'm still keeping the tradition alive and I will #gettingthere .

Me and my friend got up one weekend morning and were bored so decided to go to Nandi hills with 2 other friends..we didn’t want to waste time showering so we went in our pajamas..the sound of the bullet, while Bangalore weather treated us with thunder and slight drizzle, the stops we made to ask for directions and have hot coffee and bajjis, the no agenda to reach or leave on time, the goofing around at Nandi hills made the experience very surreal.. #gettingthere
Love this feature Kenny. I love riding alone, because it's mostly it's makes me do spontaneous decision to go off track of my riding plan. My most memorable ride was from Bangalore to Kumta Via Shimogga.
Specially the route from Sagar to Honnavar was so cool. The shade. The Western Ghats, the twist and turns. The people you meet on the chai break and stories they share. It's life changing. The simple life they live makes you realize need nothing more than basic to be Happy.

#gettingthere. Heyy Kenny. I did a bike ride from Coonoor to Kodanad on Hero Splendor. It was a beautiful experience. The drive was really peaceful. As I moved towards higher altitudes I came closer to the fog. I saw the clouds floating in the air from a very close proximity. No amount of description could encapsulate the joy that I experienced. It was a time when I wanted to take some time off from the hustle and bustle of this mundane existence. And I couldn’t be more than happy that I made that trip. I sincerely thank my uncle for lending his bike. As a family, we enjoy your standup and many other attributes of you. Keep doing what you do.
Every ride with my dad...me as a kid pestering my dad to give me a fun ride before he went to work or when he used to drop me to school, college or office, friends house or just a random ride to go to shop..was a memorable one. The conversions..the silent rides..forever close to my heart❤

Couldn't help post this memory because its so relatable to the video. My boyfriend bought a brand new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 in 2017. Two excited souls immediately made a plan to ride to Coorg which just showed 4hours away from Bangalore. We did not realise it was 3am at night when we made the plan. So Google Maps would definitely be all blue roads. We started at 4am and reached Coorg at 2pm. 10hours of heavy rains, sun, traffic and me dozing off, it was definitely not the most romantic gateway 😅 infact, when we thought we almost made it and all's well that ends well, we fell on the side of the road when we saw a truck take a turn on the hilly roads. My legs were stuck for 10minutes under the bike till my boyfriend managed to lift it up! All we did after reaching Coorg was sleep and Thank God for making us reach the destination. No wonder they say "Its not about the destination, its about the journey" :)

Talking about riding, I once packed my bag with a few stuff and rode solo from Kasaragod, Kerala, to Coorg, Karnataka, and back home. This was a memorable experience because I never had the chance to travel all by myself. I could never forget the struggle I felt to ride against the cold rain while reaching Madikeri and the thoughts that came across on my way. I was in a weird situation in life and this trip made me put myself together. Y'all should try traveling alone atleast once in your lifetime.
Amidst all these riots and pandemic , Kenny's videos are something that I escape into. Thank-you for these amazing videos! Lots of Love from all of us!!
Me and my childhood buddy planned a trip to Leh Ladakh last year. We drove all the way from Delhi to Manali first. And then started our drive to Leh from there. However good the journey was(as we were driving),, both of us were eagerly waiting to reach Leh so we could rent our bullets and ride to nubra valley and pangong. The moment we reached we set out to get the bikes. Rented 2 royal enfields classic 350. White for me and blue for him. Reached khardungla.. Reached nubra valley.. The bikes were in amazing condition which is why the ride was butter smooth. It was an amazing experience riding in the mountains but the reason I'm sharing this memory here is because while on our way back from nubra to Leh at about 4:15 in the morning we stopped in the middle of the road for some water. And that's when we actually saw a wolf with royal green eyes(atleast it felt like it was green).. the wolf was about 20 yards from us. My friend got scared and blew the bike's horn and the wolf ran away. What a sight. Wish I could share some pictures !! #gettingthere
The weather you spoke off and my bestfriend are the two things I miss the most after moving from Bangalore. I remember this beautiful road trip I went on along with my friends to this place called Kunti betta, ah! What a lovely place the weather was perfect and the company was beyond perfect. When you said weather and depicted a few aesthetic shots of Bangalore, argh!!! I wanna be back home to the weather and my bestfriend!

#gettingthere I had one amazing bike ride from Chennai to mahabalipuram which is approximately 120 KMS up and down . I was with my love of my life , we had lot of pitstops for juice , chai and lunch . The climate was surreal and I loved the moment to the core , we went to the temple and just smiled at each other . That was one amazing trip I would never forget ever. Sadly we're not together now but the memories still glaze's in our life .

Liked the video a lot....talking of bike rides reminded me of the time in College wen a group of 14 of us made a sudden plan at 12am midnight and rode off to Hampi from our college which is 140kms from there in our 4 REs, 1 NS and 2 R15s.The roads were awesome and dark the only thing we could see was the brake lights of the ones in front along those curves.we reached in time to see the sunrise at Monkey temple it was LIT!!...🤩#gettingthere
It was the last day of the year...31st December. I had a deadline to be back home by 1 am. He decided to drop me home...almost 18 km away from where we were. On our way home, we sang songs. It was as if the winds were dancing to our tunes. The weather was perfect. The Bombay breeze was doing its magic. Who knew that one bike ride would change our lives forever. That night I met my ride or die, person. A perfect beginning to the year and our lives..together :)
I used to read Tinkle comics and there used to be a fun section that features Alicia Souza's fun facts.... I used to cherish it and I'll just read the whole thing to anyone who was sitting next to me and be like " damn, these are so cute illustrations and also the facts were fun, that I still remember those".... I remember certain cartoons from that section to date. I just revisit those almost every week. Huge fan of the comic and your art. @Kennysebastian, Love what you do .... You the bomb, like u r damn cool on the stage, a big fan of both your "stand-up" and "sit-down" comedies and also the specials... i had been to Skandagiri hills with a friend which is a trekking kinda hill and is very close to nandi hills actually, we wanted to watch the sunrise so had to leave by 4am and the weather was freezing ,so can actually imagine a bike ride in that weather ... it was a great journey , finally reached there and trekked onto the hill and saw the most beautiful and magnificent view of all times .....we could see the other hills covered with clouds ...and since this was the highest peak compared to the other hills near by ,the peak which we were on was higher than the cloud level ...this was my most memorable experience.

I too have the orange interceptor. Riding solo is very good for mental health as you are able to feel the journey while collecting your thoughts. I am a rookie rider and the farthest I've gone is mumbai to pune. The pure bliss of unhurried riding I get on the highway makes me wanna keep going.

i went on a solo ride for seven days on royal enfield classic 350 through the Maharashtra coastal highway,,and that was one of the best memory i have from my last summer. i went till vengurle beach , i had a map and i tried to cover each and every beach on the map , and when i reach there i just put a right mark on it. I lost my way, went to lot of unknown small beaches which are the most beautiful one, saw some of beautiful birds of konkan sea eagle, horn bill,kingfisher... also had fresh mango juice at ratnagiri...and that was really awesome.every day the sunset by the beach was one of the best part of whole trip as i used to get tired while ridding through out the day the sunset was the time i used to relax by the beach with some beer ...ohhh best feeling, while riding back to mumbai it was raining ...and i think that was the perfect end for my trip.#gettingthere
